Beautiful park in the middle of the city right next to city hall. It’s a nice place to relax but not a park to play in. Rodeo roundup is held here each year the Tuesday before rodeo, aka the week of BBQ.

I came here recently to explore the Via Colori Chalk Art Festival. The park is spacious and is next to the Jesse Jones public library. The city hall is located in the middle of the park. This park has a beautiful rectangular water fountain in front of city hall. At night, the city hall and surrounding trees illuminate in red. A Christmas tree has been put up for the holiday season, so bring your friends/family here for pictures!!! You can pay to park on the streets at the meters or pay to park in some of the nearby parking lot. This is a good place to walk your dog or go for a walk. However, I wouldn’t recommend going by yourself in the evening because the park is a bit dark even with the light poles.

This is the area right in front of city hall. I believe people have been checking into the city hall annex in the past. I am glad for whoever added this listing. Many events throughout the year are hosted in this park. One of my favorite events every year is Rodeo Round-Up. It’s a great space that is easy to set up booth/tents all around the end and has very heavy benches that stay year round for quick seating. The farmer’s market here is great, as I was able to sample to very unique items over the years. The only drawback is the parking, but that goes with everything and anything related to downtown.
