I live in the Eado neighborhood & frequent this location often but as of this past week I no longer will patronize it. I am familiar with the attendants«Alex» & «Leon» and normally have moderate service. They know my face, we have small talk etc. I stopped by to pick up items late sat evening around 11:45pm, as I browsed the aisles a gentleman walks in a few min afterwards to purchase boudin. He asked Alex for crackers & said«are you out of them or just don’t want to look for them»? Alex replied in a snappy tone«No». The gentleman then said he no longer wanted the items & placed them back where he got them. Out of nowhere I hear racial slurs & insults from Alex because he didn’t place them back«properly» I assume. The gentleman inquired«is this how you treat your customers, is this what you consider customer service»? More racial slurs & insults came from Alex while the gentleman exited the station.(«You black moth#%^r, suck my d#%k, you black p%^#y, you have no literacy, I’ll whoop your black a#%) The gentleman returned yelling loudly & arguing back saying«ill kick your ass, call the police» & then items began to fly across the room.(Ice, drinks, snacks) I was nervous and didn’t understand how this escalated so quickly or what the outcome would be. There was no physical violence but those hurtful words left my spirit in turmoil. I extended my condolences as I attempted to exit and Alex continued to make inappropriate remarks. I hadn’t done a thing. When I relayed this story to a neighbor they too had experienced a similar situation where the attendant had an altercation with a customer that wanted to smell a particular cologne before purchasing it. Alex doubted he had the money and refused to serve him and put him out. I did research with the BBB, Unilocal,& Attorney Generals Office & found myself so disappointed. There were similar reviews that stated the exact same behavior. This is a problem and a terrible reflection of Chevron. We need a solution. Does anyone know where an effective discrimination complaint can be submitted? I’ve contacted Chevron headquarters and await a reply. I also have video footage. Update: Chevron sent an apology letter and stated the owner of this location was an «icebox 4166». Hopefully they will see this.

This is the only gas station in this immediate area. It is pretty new and still nice inside. There are plenty of pumps and room to maneuver in the parking lot. Gas is usually priced comparable to other places in the area. I stop here on my way home sometimes to fill up if traffic is too bad on beltway and feeder. As an added bonus, there is a taqueria attached next door which has great tacos and plates. They also offer $.99 breakfast tacos. Review to follow on the taqueria.
