I am quite convinced that Dr. Flax saved my life. He did spend some time on his computer — lucky me — reviewing my medical history and recent complications. Then he took the time to listen to me. It’s a long complicated story, but he is one of two medical heroes in my life as he does not«watch the clock» and he truly cares. When I had given up ever having a doctor take me seriously, and wanted to die rather than suffer such agonizing pain, he reached out to me with warmth and honesty, rang the alarm bell, and saw that the necessary surgery was performed to resolve my pain and make life worth living again. Equally important, his nurse, Helen, is a fantastic lady and source of advice and referrals, and his whole office is run efficiently.

I can see why he was deemed one of houston’s best physicians. He solved a serious issue that had others scratching their heads. His advice was spot on. He is not an overly warm and cuddly person, but having to choose between that and having a great, knowledgeable doctor, I will choose the latter.

After waiting an hour in the examining room, the doctor was rude and short. As a new patient, I would think he would have shaked my hand. The only time he touch me was during the examine.(which was brief) . The visit was impersonal since he was on his computer the whole time and couldn’t talk to me as Doctor to patient. I left feeling that nothing had been accomplished. I was left in the examing room; no one came to get me — as a new patient, I was lost. I WOULDNEVERRECOMMENDTHISDOCTORNORWILL I EVERRETURN.
