Was passing by and the beautiful pieces in the window caught my eye. I’m glad I stopped by because J Landa has beautiful, unique jewelry — not your typical pieces that you see over and over. Love their selection of champagne diamonds. They are modern, affordable, and can be worn every day. Everyone was helpful and friendly without being pushy. Jay made suggestions for mixing and matching with what I already had on. Will definitely be back!

I have been shopping at J. Silver(now J. Landa) for many years and I have always had a great experience there. They have a superb selection of jewelry and you can find items at all price points. They frequently have fantastic trunk shows, featuring really interesting designers. The staff has always been very helpful, especially when I’ve needed assistance in finding a piece to coordinate with a specific outfit. I love shopping there and have sent many, many people to this store when they need jewelry. If you go, be prepared to leave with a fabulous new piece that you’ll want to show off immediately!

I have been a J Silver customer for over a decade. What is most appealing is that they have such a variety to choose from in both design and pricing. There is something for everyone here.(Beautiful Sterling Silver baby rattles/spoons, Graduation gifts, Anniversary diamonds, etc…).Very excited for the new makeover they did this past year. If you haven’t seen it, stop by. Sleek and Chic. The staff is always helpful and accommodating. They have the widest selection of Chan Luu bracelets in town!

Are you kidding me?! This is the most special and sincerely spectacular jewelry store I’ve ever visited. I have 5 dressers of special baubles and I bet 4 of them came from the years I have been shopping at JSilver… and guess what? I don’t even live in Houston! Im shocked and amazed anyone could say anything that isn’t glowing about Jay or his team of experts. I encourage you to go see for yourself… and go with the open mind necessary to allow the experts to take you outside of your comfort zone and style you in a way you never imagined… and then tell you 5 other ways to wear each and every piece.

I have shopped at J Silver many times over several years and spent a fair amount of money on purchases. I have never found the owner to be pleasant or really helpful. Nonetheless, I kept returning. After my most recent two visits, I decided i will not return. My last two times in the store I found both the owner and a sales clerk fairly rude. The first time I was looking over their Chan Luu selection in a case that was opened. Without saying a word to me, the owner came over and locked the case! His intent was quite clear… even though I had purchased many things from him over the last few years. More recently, I was making a purchase(more Chan Luu) and pulled out my checkbook. The clerk saw me write the check and as I was finishing said, «we don’t take checks» in a very condescending voice! She waited until I was actually writing it out before she said this so of course I wasted a check. There are manyother fine jewelry stores in Houston that welcome their customers. This place does not.

I went to J Silver for a charity event with the jewelry designer Chen Luu. I was invited by one of the charities I volunteer with and while I commend J Silver for offering to allow Chen Luu to do an event there, the experience left a bad taste in my mouth. First of all, the designer was present but she was so focused on what I was told were her«VIP» clients that she did not make time for anybody else and would edge you out of the way to get to the jewelry she wanted to show them. This is obviously not a criticism on the store but it says something about designers they feature there unfortunately. Second, a store clerk(which I found later was the owner) was helping my friend with some jewelry and she would carefully look over the pieces and glance at the price tag. Honestly, this is something I believe 99% of people do whenever they are purchasing something as we all have budgets in mind. After the second piece he helped her try on he said to her«we have some more affordable pieces elsewhere in the store.» At that time he put a collection of bracelets in front of her and stopped helping her. Needless to say my friend was really put off because the tone was slightly rude. It was also disconcerting because he knew that there were customers in his store who had never been there before(for the charity event) and it wasn’t like we came into the store looking non-presentable and disinterested in purchasing jewelry. We gave the store a go around for about 20 more minutes and talked to some other(nice and slightly more helpful) staff. We even carried around a couple of earrings planning to buy them but ultimately were so unimpressed with the attitude that we left. I’m not saying that some of the jewelry they had there wasn’t very nice and they did have a range of items so it really could work with anyone’s budget but overall it wasn’t the best small jewelry store I’ve seen in the city. Because I can go to many other more helpful places in Houston, I will not be returning to J Silver which is a shame since I shop in Rice Village fairly often.

One of my favorite jewelry stores. They always have the most current trends but, they go the extra mile by helping you incorporate your own jewelry with what’s current. They are very knowledgeable and friendly. Oh, and the space is gorgeous and inspiring. Love J Silver!
