meh… I’m over this place… especially when sweet tomato is down the street… the salad bar is so bland I don’t even want to make a second trip. the sandwiches look good from what I’m seeing on other people’s table but my meal was a disappointment.

Each month our department has a birthday lunch and we either pot luck or order out so this month we chose Jason’s and let me tell you they made ordering and passing out the orders so easy. First of all Lynette took my call in order and was so nice she took every order down then repeated it back to me and not once did she rush me or act rude. So many times I’ve called places that have acted like my Xtra large office order just ruined their entire day that my experience with Lynette was a breath of fresh air. Once I arrived to pick up my order the manager waited while I drove my car up front and he loaded everything up for me. They packaged each order individually and numbered the bags so I was able to pass out the orders quickly and while the food was hot. We got all our meals and nothing was missed so I call that 5 star service and the easiest birthday lunch I’ve ever planned.

First time ever in a Jason’s Deli. This place was dirty… dirty floors, dirty table, dirty salad bar… my sandwich was good, but French onion soup was crap. Exactly what the hell was that they draped on top of my soup? White plastic?

This was a somewhat underwhelming first encounter. I had the California Club special with a small cup of soup, plus a fountain soda, for $ 10.26 including tax. It was steep for a deli. The sandwich was decent but quite small, and there were no chips(you had to choose between chips, cup of soup, or steamed vegetables). The cashier recommended the tomato basil soup which in turned out to be atrocious. I’ve had soups out of a can that tasted much better. The manager was very accommodating however and offered to let me taste a few others until I found one that I liked. The broccoli & cheese was near as bad as the tomato & basil, same mass-produced un-fresh taste. He said it was their most popular. Hard to believe. He said that they don’t make their soups fresh, it is shipped in twice a week. YIKES :-(However the seafood gumbo was passable, and I made due. All the staff are very friendly and service is efficient and clean; which along with good-tasting sandwhich and manager’s concern bumped them up to 3 stars.

Free ice cream. Is there more to say? Jason’s has more variety and options than a lot of places for a vegetarian diet. It is easy to get in and out quickly on a lunch break. It is also easy to eat a good sized meal for under $ 10.

Some of your employees need sensitivity training for people who are gluten intolerant. I asked for a Italian dressing when I ordered my pre-made salad. I don’t eat off the salad bar b/c people often drop things while serving themselves. The woman who delivered my salad told me to get my dressing off the salad bar. I told her I didn’t want things off the salad bar b/c people drop food in it. She then told me I needed to go get it and I should eat crackers!!! I’m hoping she is just completely unaware of what it means to be gluten intolerant — if not that was unusually cruel. I then had to go up to the front myself and ask for dressing from the bottle and this employee followed me up while laughing at me. She proceeded to speak Spanish regarding me to the other employees. I was eventually able to get a very nice lady to help me but this one employee was very rude. I hope she just doesn’t know what gluten intolerance is. The person who took my order was nice and the lady who got my dressing from the bottle was nice — hence the 3 stars. If it were only the one rude employee, I would give it 1 star.

Love me some Jason’s deli. Too many options to choose from. I want them all. Always fresh food. The ice cream cone is always a plus.

I usually get the manager’s special that includes ½ sandwich and a side salad. Today, I enjoyed the Corned Beef Sandwich on French Bread and I was not disappointed. The side salad is plenty for me and I am one of the few that does not overdue it at the salad bar because the sandwich is pretty filling in itself. I only fill my salad bowl to the rim and that is plenty for me. It is so disgusting when I see guests abusing the salad bar by filling their bowl so full that items fall off the bowl when they are trying to add more items to an already full salad bowl. What is more disgusting is when I see guests return to the salad bar with a used salad bowl. Today, I had the pleasure not seeing either of these two types of disgusting acts.

They always have alot of fresh options so this is a great place to grab a lighter bite. I really enjoy their French Onion soup with toast. For lunch, I usually go with a wrap. While its a little loud, I like to have meetings here as their is always ample seating.

I have been a JD fan for YEARS! My problem is even though they have plenty of delicious healthy menu choices, I crave the Broccoli Cheese Baked Potato with Chicken and all the fixin’s. I have to force myself not to get it and somehow leave feeling a little disappointed. We sat beside this couple the other day and I see the steam coming from her cheesy baked potato from the corner of my eye. I was absolutely appauled that she took maybe three bites and just left it there… WHODOESTHAT!!! Yes it’s been many months since I had one and it’s clearly affecting my enjoyability factor when I do go. So I guess I’ll stay away until my birthday. Then all bets are off. And don’t even get me started on their Muffalettas!

I always love eating at Jason’s deli no matter what location. I usually get the Turkey Wrap with a cup of broccoli cheese soup. Did you know that if you order one of their healthier meals the soup comes as an upgrade for free? YES! This location is clean, salad bar well stocked and if you are here for dinner it is virtually empty so the service is super fast. Lunchtime can be a little crazy but the service is still good.

Sometimes this place is hit or miss & last night it was a miss. Party of 4, 3 ordered chicken alfredo & I ordered Manager’s Special of ½-California Club & a cup of broccoli cheese soup. All 3 w/the pasta said the sauce tasted off & the penne was too al dente. 1 order came w/o the garlic bread & we had to go ask for it. My croissant was toasted too long & it just broke apart & was too crispy to keep all the ingredients inside sandwich & my beloved broccoli cheese soup was tepid(a common occurrence, as of late). Even the fruit sauce seemed watered down. A real letdown that cost me $ 40! It’ll be a while before we get a Jason’s craving.

I really never find myself with nothing to say about a place I’ve visited, but I’m having trouble here. Jason’s has grown a lot over the past few years. They have a real cookie cutter approach to setting up their delis. They all look the same and have the same feel. Starbucks has a similar approach with one major difference. While each location has the same level of service, they all have different characters. I’ve been to about a half dozen Jason’s locations over the past several years and all of them are the same. Having lunch that day, I was somewhere around Houston, but could have been in Chicago. It was a somewhat disconcerting feeling. The food was okay, on par with my other experiences. It just doesn’t offer anything different.

Great place to dine if you’re trying to eat healthy. Lots of variety of sandwiches, soups, baked potatoes, and a salad bar. If you dine in, the ice cream is always free with every meal. Today I ordered the Sergeant Pepper sandwich with au jus, which is a ½ pound of roast beef topped with roasted peppers, and onions… then topped with provolone cheese. Awesome sandwich but definitely not the healthiest sandwich. I frequently order take out at the Memorial Jasons Deli and I always order something different. Trust me, they will not disappoint.

I really enjoyed my lunch here the other day. I ordered the sandwich, fruit, chips combo with the chicken salad on a croissant(my regular order) and it was delicious. My food came out quick and I was out the door and back to work in no time.

I looooove eating lunch here. Their food is hot, fresh, and made to order! You go up to the counter, order and pay, get a number and a cup, get your drink and your fixins at the bar, and wait for your food to be ready. The fixins bar here is great! They have these awesome little mini-muffins in 2 different flavors which are FREE. Reasonable prices and good quality. I’m knocking off a star because the food(and the muffins) are a tad greasy(but still good) and maybe the lighting could be improved or the décor updated. The roast beef here is good if you like roast beef. It can get very busy during lunch, but it’s a large restaurant with a large parking lot so you’ll find a space. And if there’s a long line(which sometimes there is during peak lunch hours), it moves pretty quickly.
