Jason’s Deli

My place to go to escape the sea of fast-​food joints in the area.

Like the new huge location. Used to go to them years ago in when they were in the smaller shopping center. They are now where the legendary Gigi’s used to be at.
Got the California club with chili and chips. They didn’t ask me if I wanted fruit. Just put chips in the bag.
Had Bday 5 off so I tried out the strawberry shortcake and it was okay. Nothing special.
My sandwich and soup were really good though.
For a quick bite this is a good spot. They are really fast and have drive thru service.
Better than subway that’s for sure.

Their beef stew is so tasty. The staff is very friendly and I’ve always enjoyed my visits. They have a pretty good salad bar with fresh ingredients and wonderful sandwiches. Don’t forget the free ice cream!

I am not a purist but it seems a bit of a stretch to call the sandwiches here «Jason’s Deli.» I understand that the name refers to the type of bread in the roll, and the bread here is quite good. Otherwise, the rating would be lower. Other than that [and the pickled vegetables, the qualities I associate with Jason’s Deli are lacking. For one thing, the meat is more sauteed than roasted. The atmosphere here is non-​existent [which encourages take-​out, I guess] and the waits at busy times – even for take-​out – are not justified by the result. I would hate to think that this is the best Jason’s Deli Houston has to offer.

Ordered online for pick up and they made me wait in a long order line even though I already paid. The manager looked at me several times and didn’t make any effort to help.

Amazing. Food is fresh and delicious. The salad bar is well kept and the parking is good. At lunch time when it is at its busiest the staff still keeps up with the demand

They have a drive through! Very good food over all but the croissant was very hard and my strawberry in my fruit cup had mold. Convenience is really what gives it such a high rating.

Good food at fast food prices. I get the managers special. Cup of soup and a small sandwich. Both the French Onion and the tortilla soup are very good. Sometimes I get the salad bar. Every thing has been good so far except today. Every soup spoon in the place was dirty looking. I ended up getting a plastic one. I’ll go back because the food and prices are good but I may bring my own silverware.

I love this Jason’s Deli. Ever since they moved to their new building that now has a drive thru I love it even more! I have never had a bad experience here, my order has always been correct. Because frankly, I don’t like when I get home and I’m ready to eat only to find out my ordered is messed all the way up. Fresh food, reasonable prices.

The new location faces 290, same side of freeway. Super nice inside. I like how they designed it and the flow of the space. Still the same healthy choices. Jasons is always a winner for sandwiches, wraps, soups & salads.

Great that they have a drive thru but what’s with the menu? Instead of putting a menu somewhere in the long line they put a quarter of the menu where you are supposed to order causing you to be rushed and also not know what the heck they are offering. So far the two times I have gotten to go from here it has been okay but would have been better had I been able to order exactly what I wanted rather than try to remember what they offered or trying to look up their menu on my phone while in line. Hopefully they get this fixed as I think they are a solid franchise with a good product.

I ordered mighty salmon salad to go from Jason’s deli on 34^th street 02/​19/​2015
when I was walking to my car I dropped the food on the pavement. I walked back to the store and asked a young sales associate to dispose it and I ordered a new one. He said «do not worry it is no charge for the new salad»
The salad was absolutely delicious and the service was excellent

After the revamp /​new building this location is fantastic! I’ve actually only picked up meals by drive thru, but everything has been fresh and delicious!

I never have any issues here. They recently opened the new one and it’s the nicest I’ve been to so far.

Favorite lunch spot, always wonderful food. Friendly staff, very comfortable atmosphere.

This was my second time at Jason’s deli. I shy away because their prices are a bit too steep for me. Anyway I went there on October 20^th. I was a bit lost but one of the ladies behind the counter recognized me from work, and she helped me out. I work at a public state office near there. I was lost because I am not familiar with their menu.
I ordered this turkey cranberry sandwich. That’s not the real name, but close. It was aesthetically pleasing with purple onions all. I chose a small fruit cup with a dipping sauce on the side.
I mentioned all that to say this: that was maybe the best sandwich/​lunch I’ve ever had. I ordered it as take out. I sat in my truck somewhere and ate. It was a nice fall day. Maybe I’ve had some sandwiches just as good, but I don’t remember them. Kudos to JD on that lunch. I’ll be back. As the saying goes you get what you pay for. Next time I plan to intrepidly use the salad bar. Maybe the new restaurant will be open by then. The present restaurant is nice as well.

My company and I always order from here to get it delivered. Some days they are fast and some days they don’t get to my office until after a 2 hour wait.
Other than that, I sometimes just go here for lunch. They always fully stock the salad bar and it’s clean. If you do decide to come during lunch time, you have to come early. If you come at noon, it’s always a wait out the door to get in plus the limited amount of parking space there as well.

This is my favorite hit and run place for a week day lunch.
The service is always spot on here. The people at the registers are very helpful. I also learned that if you order specific sandwiches the upgrade to soup is free! (The eggplant pannini). This location in particular is very clean. Even the table busers are so nice. One of the ladies noticed I didn’t have a pickle and she brought me a plate full!
I love their broccoli cheese soup and would eat it by the bucket as well as their fabulous salad bar.
I have been eating at this location for years now and will continue to do so.
