Great subs, better than subway or jimmy johns. But be prepared to freeze because they go way overboard with the AC. This has been my experience every time. I’ll never understand why Houston businesses think customers should have to carry sweaters or jackets to put on when they enter their establishments.

I’m giving them 3 stars because they are inconsistent in including BACON on sandwiches that come with bacon. This has happened to me on more than one occasion hence finally writing this review because it has happened once again… Having a sandwich without one of its main ingredients really disappoints you once you get home and notice that its missing. Maybe you should put the bacon in the front so your employees remember that its even there. It won’t stop me from going but please be cognizant of whats included in the sandwiches guys!!!

So much better than a subway or jimmy johns. It’s just as inexpensive and fast, but with higher quality ingredients. I’ve had the veggie sandwich a couple times there & the cheese is actually real, deli cheese and the veggies all seemed fresh.

My favorite sub place in Houston. Very tasty and fresh ingredients. Recommend the Beef Kahuna Cheese steak sandwich. I also love that they give you a «Giant» option for guys with a bigger appetite. Highly recommended. Try the online order app also. Very convenient. Only minor complaint is that the credit care machine requires me to input a tip amount first. Expecting a tip for a grab and go sandwich place is a little silly.

I really enjoy Jersey Mikes and went to this location on westheimer. I’m in the parking lot writing this. I decided this locations is too unclean for me to eat at. It’s 3:30 and there is one other customer. All the tables are filthy and I went to the bathroom and there are no paper towels and the concrete floor just looks gross– paint that. Also the cooler had condensation all over the bottom so I can’t have faith it’s cooling properly and keeping the deli items at the right temperature. No thanks– I’ll eat somewhere else.

Pretty decent sandwich place and the roast beef can be pretty mean. Also should be noted that they actually do serve Pepsi products as drink, so with that, it makes a nice substitute for Quizno’s, most of which are no longer in the areas I frequent at.

What a terrible place! I usually don’t write reviews, but this place is just above and beyond awful. I have visited the place four different times(to make sure its not a one off issue) and had three different items from the menu: a turkey sandwich, a chicken parm and a Cesar wrap. The meat is terrible, just discussing. They must be buying the cheapest stuff possible, you can taste the preservatives. Regardless what you buy, it’s going to be extremely soggy even if you repeatedly ask them not to add any dressing. Its like they keep all their greens in water and then just dump them on the bread right before they serve it. Lastly, the staff doesn’t speak any English, not even basic, to a point that you have to repeat a bunch of times what you want and they still get it wrong and they have the audacity to charge more than $ 8 for these so-called sandwiches. Save your money and stay away, there are better alternatives in the area.

Best subs outside of the east coast. All freshly cut meats and veggies and consistent across all the Jersey Mikes I have been to. My go to spot when I’m feeling homesick for a hoagie.

So, I’ve eaten here a few times. Each time the sandwiches are great, but the service is… interesting. This time I felt I needed to write a review in real time. Now, two things are important to note in this review: 1. I worked in food service for over four years. 2. I have been a mascot before.(Yes, as in the suited animal variety) Today the service was just as colorful. We walk into the store and, first off, it smells like bleach. Not a problem, that means it’s clean. But the store is sweltering hot. It’s legitimately around 90 degrees in there. The man serving us is bald, maybe mid-late thirties, with a dark complexion. His first question to me is «Yeah, what’ll ya have?» And it wasn’t said in a jovial manner. It was said in annoyance. I peered at him sideways and gave him my order, three times because he’s banging around the kitchen whining that he has to put on gloves. He proceeds to weave a tale of woe involving a broken AC, 100 degree temps in the store, and how illegal it is to work under such conditions. Now, I’m likely to be empathetic to anyone in customer service, I worked in that industry, too, but don’t blame me for your poor work environment. And this man looked at every customer with disdain as they walked through the door. The poor 18 year old kid next to him looks like he wants to shoot himself(probably because the jerk next to him tells every customer the same sob story). The older worker literally says, «God Damn» «Shit» and«Fucking ridiculous» around three times each in front of us and other customers. Now, here’s where the«I’ve been a mascot» line comes in: it’s 110 degrees in that suit regardless of the temps outside. If you can handle sweating in your own filth for 6 hours, you can handle food service. I mentioned this to the guy and he says, «Oh yeah, I’ve done that before.» THENWHYAREYOUSCREAMINGOBSCENITIESATPEOPLE?! Asshole, make our sandwiches and stop being such a prick. Every customer after us came in all smiles and left with scowls and their food to go. I’ve never mentioned in a review that an employee should be fired, but the older man needs to be fired. He ruined the dining experience for every customer because of his own anger. Shame on him.

So ok, here we go again. This«Mike» character from«Jersey» should be ashamed! Everyone in the office is talking about his«Philly» cheesesteaks, so of course I had to give it a try. 8 years in Philly makes you a bit of an expert when it comes to the local sandwich. Let’s start with price. I paid $ 7 for the«regular», which I figured would be about 12 inches considering the price. When I saw the«grillmaster» pull out what appeared to be a child sized roll I whimpered a little. I mean, I understand the economics of uniqueness/availability, but come on! 7 bucks will get you a 10 inch, chips, and soda at certain places in Filth-A-Delphia. I’m thinking of one particular bodega at 17th and Diamond… The taste of this happy-meal-sized portion left much to be desired. Cheese flavor and amount was good. Meat was flavorful, just not the right flavor. Not bad, but not right, thus not good. Roll was just a little too soft and it’s flavor was easily dwarfed by the meat. Basically, it tasted like a HOUSTON cheesesteak. A good cheesesteak perfectly blends the flavors of properly seasoned beef, cheese, roll, and«stank». Don’t ask me what«stank» is, but it makes the sandwich just right. Conclusion: When in Houston, a cheesesteak from Jersey Mike’s is the equivalent of a Houstonian going to Portland Oregon and being told, «There is a great place called Texas Tommy’s that has the best Texas BBQ,» only to be greeting with chicken baked in Kraft BBQ sauce. Maybe next time I will try the Italian hoagie. Wonder if it’s anything like what you get at Hogback Deli in Bordentown…

Good fresh taste, fresh ingredients, meat and cheese are sliced right in front of you. I eat there about once a month and its always a treat. Good and tasty lunch. Get there early because they get really busy for lunch. The line can back out the door at high noon. That is testament to the quality of their food.

This is the best sub shop around. The only problem I have with Jersey Mike’s is it is so fattening. Staying in shape is very difficult with a great place like Jersey Mike’s. I love it and so will you.

Good decent sub with premium ingredients. Its a wider sandwich with thicker cuts of meat. I had the Italian and it was a little bland. They asked if I wanted it Jersey Mike style with all the red wine vinegar and olive oil. I saw how the guy was making the sandwiches before mine. He grabbed each of these bottles and was shaking them vigorously. Think of trying to get the ketchup out of the bottle meets Houston thunderstorms. I said just a dash, and the guy went to town with the dressings anyways. I tried to stop him, but he gave me this look like I didn’t know what I was doing. In retrospect, I understand why. The seasoning was not very flavorful. The amount I did get ended up dripping out of my sandwich onto the paper, which caused a mess than anything else. The sandwich ingredients were all very fresh. The lettuce was crispy— even found a piece of ice for some reason… yea. I don’t know. but its just ice. so no harm no foul. My recommendation is to get the hot pepper relish and oregano seasoning if you want it with a little kick. I put this sandwich place in lines with Jimmy Johns. wider and more heartier bread, and fresh ingredients. I’ll be back here sometime or another.

It’s a good sub, but not a great sub. The ingredients are fresh, the meat and cheese are sliced in front of you, and the portions are huge. The bread is the best part of the sandwich, as the«guts» of the sandwich seem somewhat bland, although the lettuce and tomato are very fresh. A medium sandwich and a bottle of water ran nearly $ 9.50 with tax, but the portion wasn’t skimpy. Counter help is friendly and helpful, and line moves pretty quickly. Even though everyone seems to throw away their own trash, tables weren’t being bused, so there are crumbs on and everywhere around tables.

This is a hidden treasure in the Westheimer area. Don’t waste your time with over priced an bad food in the area and head over to Jersey Mike’s Subs! I ordered the supreme club the first time I went there and the Italian original most recently. They were both great! The banana peppers and vinegar are a must on any of their sandwiches. The staff is upbeat, friendly and ready to answer and questions! This is definitely one of my favorite places to get a sandwich and hope a location opens closer to me!

I’m a fan of places that aren’t Subway, so this place already had something going for it before I even tried it. It reminds me a lot of Lenny’s sub shop. The bread is very similar, but I’d say it’s a tad saltier here. They used freshly sliced provolone and turkey, just like at Lenny’s. Sorry, I can’t help but compare… they even offer a hot pepper relish like… Lenny’s. The regular portions are hearty… I had a regular sub and wished I’d gotten a mini. Although the perfect portion for a meal might be a mini plus chips. The toppings are tasty and fresh but you may want to get less of the oil and vinegar. At least, the guy making the sandwiches added it with a heavy hand to the sub ahead of mine so I was able to ask for less. My husband had roast beef and claimed it was a bit too dry for him. Getting your sandwich«Mike’s way» entails: lettuce, tomato, onion, red wine vinegar, oil and spices aka oregano and pepper(just a guess). It’s a great option for a very fresh tasting sandwich if you’re in the area. It’s located in the same shopping center as Capital Grille.

Great subs! For my first time I decided to try the Italian grilled, as suggested by the employee when I told him it was my first time here. The meat was wonderfully flavorful and I really loved the pepper spread, vinegar and oil, and Italian spices that they suggested I add on the sandwich. Shredded lettuce is always a favorite for me on a good sub. All in all I thought it was great and looking forward to going back!

Like Shawn P. this was my «go-to place» for a sandwich when I had an office in the area. Jersey Mike’s destroys the derivative Subway/Quizno’s empire by offering high quality food, as Caroline T. notes, in the form of a sandwich. Their vegetables are always fresh — unlike Subway, which seems hell-bent on using the supermarket’s refuse and scraps off of the floor. The meat is good and actually meat like somewhat authentic — not what seems to be 95% saline solution and 5% rotting orc flesh like Quizno’s meat. I’ve never had a bad worker here, they get the concept of the sandwich shop that: I have money, I want that food over there, here is money, now I am going to go eat this over there.
