I have been to many Joe’s Crab Shack around the country and this is the worst one I have ever experienced. Some of the worst service I have ever experienced, how do you run out of butter, with all the crab legs and lobster you sale. Then a couple of the waiters almost got into a fight. The franchise needs to inspect this business.

I had the fish & chips and beer battered shrimp with fries and coleslaw. The coleslaw that comes as a side is more like a teaser, a small plastic cup not much bigger than the cocktail and tartar sauce. More importantly, it was very dry. The fries were ok, nothing special. The fish & chips and shrimp, well, I could have gotten better at LJS. Also, I did the«Choose any 2» option on the lunch menu for an additional $ 1.00 — $ 1.50; it did not seem to be additional food, but a trade of one item for the second item. The serving size was small.

Last night I went to this restaurant to meet a friend for dinner. I was only there for about an hour and a half and when I went outside they had broken into my car. I was really upset but I remember seeing signs on their light post outside saying the parking lot had cameras. When I asked the manager to please call the cops for me since my phone had died I asked him if he can pull up the video tape from the cameras they have outside. Manager stated those cameras haven’t work in over a year and no one ever removed the signs from the light post stating they have cameras. This really upset me. Why would an establishment state they have cameras but not have them working. Now I have no hope in finding who broke into my car and having my damages reimbursed. I understand you can’t control situations like this but it is not fair for a customer to think their car is safe outside being recorded by cameras when in fact their cameras don’t even work but they have signs outside Saying they work. I will never return to this establishment. And when he cop came he apparently said a week and a half ago their was a shooting at this location outside. This place needs to really get it together. I will be posting pics of their signs they have outside that clearly says they have cameras.

So let me start out by saying I’ve never been to a restaurant with service bad enough to warrant a review, but I’ve discovered it. First off it took an hour and 45 minutes to get fish and chips. Our table was one of five tables in the entire restaurant on a Thursday night. When we got the food they had messed up every single meal except for one(I don’t even know how you mess up fish and chips). And it took 25 minutes to bring out everyone’s food after the first plate had come out. Second, during the meal a roach literally ran across the floor under the table. After all of this the manager only gave 3 of the people at our table free meals. This has been the worst dining experience I can ever remember having. The reviews below are all correct and this restaurant does not deserve to be in business with service this bad.

My drinks were on point, but the service was sooo slow. I waited about 15 minutes at the bar before somebody actually greeted me. Then I waited about 10 more for somebody to actually give me a menu. Since the drinks were so good I’ll be back.

First, all the reviews are correct about the service. The first time I was here, my friends warned me that service is always bad but the food is good. They were right, our waitress was ok but barely checked on us. It seemed like we were always waiting around to catch someone for more refills or even to get our check to pay. The second time I went was probably the last time. It was the worst service I have ever experienced eating out. When we arrived, we were promptly seated and asked for water to start off. About ten minutes later, two other groups came to sit in the same area as we did. We started to notice that the other tables were receiving their drinks and then their appetizers. Where was our waitress with our water(15 minutes later)? We asked the waitress helping out the other tables to find our waitress or help us put in an order. She said she would just take care of us and put in our real drink orders. Another 15 minutes goes by and the second waitress never came back. My friend had to go find a manager to talk just for us to get water… The rest of the night went downhill from there. Even when we talked to the manager and he assigned their best waiter to our table, it was still a bad experience(the third waiter had a bit of sass). I would not recommend coming to this place at all.

I was seated at my table at 8:04 and am still sitting here at 9:27 and have not received my food yet. Have already been through three waiters and they still haven’t offered to give me my food for free. Needless to say don’t come here. Only gave them one star because you have to… they honestly deserve zero.

Place is great, what a shame was slow on a weekend. No fruit at the bar so my drink came wiht none. Had king crabs were absolutely amazing. We also shared the seafood platter. dirty rice was horrendous. We really enjoyed our night had not gone to a joes in a long long time, they need to still work on their food, but all and all it was great.

I want to keep it honest here, tonight’s meal was an utter fail. Chef Ramsey would have kicked everyone out of Hell’s kitchen tonight. The Happy Hour Hurricane was good for the price. Super sweet and strong. It was a rough day and this was the perfect remedy. Moving forward to the meal… I got it to go. I should have done a better inspection before I left because when I arrived home the nosedives continued. I was very disappointed overall. First the Southern Stuffed Shrimp was not great at all. As aforementioned in my photo, the only great part of that dish was the sauce. The bacon was overly cooked, hard, and the cooks had the nerve to add an excessive amount of OLD broccoli. Seriously, the broccoli was discolored; it smelled and tasted like it was frozen and thawed several times before it reached my plate! Absolutely gross. The Mahi… Sweet succulent mahi was a FRY to DRY job. Oh, not to mention more old broccoli. Advertised as a crown jewel on the menu, this was one of the most tasteless fish this palate has tasted in quite some time. The atmosphere can reflect the food… a disappointment. As an added bonus The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission had the State Police stop by for a possible citation. 1-star for entertainment as staff anxiously awaited the result of that visit. I’ve heard that Joe’s on 610 is the poor man’s Pappadeaux’s. At $ 15/meal I hardly call that poor. One fact still remains, that the quality of the food and the price do not match up. Sorry Joe’s. We have to do better in 2016.

Where is the service??? Seriously, this place consist of kid employees. They should make this establishment a self service restaurant. The one in Pearland is much better!!! This place is a joke. Been sitting here for 30 minutes… Thank God, this nice gentlemen realized that no one had seen us yet. Hopefully someone working here sees this and they have another training on customer service. This review is not based on the food, but the service.

Service seems to have improved somewhat since the one star comments. I swung by with a date a couple of times and both trips were solid. If you order a bucket, they provide bibs and plenty of napkins to help you stay as clean as possible all meal long. The dinner experience was solid. We weren’t sure exactly what to get, but the server made a couple of solid recommendations based on what we were in the mood for. The food came out hot and reasonably fast, and the waitress was very attentive. Lunch was decent as well, but the pacing was off. We’d shown up for the all you can eat crab, which might have been an odd selection for lunch, but we had an hour and a half. We were waiting a good 15 minutes to be greeted by our server, and the first batch took over half an hour to come out. We our drinks were empty and he had to be called over to refill them. Despite our obvious hurry he didn’t seem to be in any rush. The refill batches came out faster and faster, to the point where we weren’t even waiting five minutes for the last refill. He did get the check to us quickly, though. In summary, go for dinner or when you don’t have any rush for lunch. This place is too laid back for getting in and out with a quick meal.

1st time horrible service at this location. Decided to give it a 2nd chance because it was so busy because of their Tuesday special. Went back not so busy. Sat down in less then two minutes. Over 10 minutes pass not even a drink order. Hostess came to let us know we will be seen in a few so we decided to sit at the bar. Sat for 5 minutes bartender said he would be right with us while flirting with 2 female customers while scratching him self in his area. So we decided to leave. This chain is one of my favorite places but I will never return to this location ever.

Customer service at this restaurant was 1 of the worst that I have experienced. We were taken to a dirty table and my husband had to walk up to ask for a waiter after 20 minutes of waiting for 1. When our waiter finally came with our drinks he basically threw the straws at us. The food was ok but not worth the money or hassle. I feel like the waiters weren’t very attentive, they were more concerned with watching sports and hanging out with their friends. Very unprofessional, will not be returning.

If I could give negative stars I would! Worst dinner and service I have ever had in my life! The food was horrible, the beer was worm, and the service would have been better from a 2 year old!

I have been joes crab customer very long time but they just closed SW freeway location so we went to this location on 610, this place was the worst experience of my night , 1-We had to wait for host or waiter to get our table for almost 10 minutes and restaurant was not even busy. 2 – 4 different waiters came out said we will be right back in 10 seconds and finally after 15 minutes we placed our order . 3– I ordered spicy boil crabs and my order was messed up and waiter took inside came right after and put some seasonings on top and said here you go lol and i asked thats not spicy boil but he said its gonna take few minutes, anyways we were hungry. 4– bathroom was extremely dirty so I came out without washing my hand. I also noticed that Other customers had problems too with waiters. I am not going to that location again. I hope they shut that location down and open up at SW location again.

I think the only qualification they require to work here is you must be breathing. Because how most of the people I encountered here on multiple occasions were able to 1) get a job here and then, more amazingly, 2) keep it, is astounding. We nearly walked out on our last visit because our server disappeared… getting us water. I’m guessing she got caught up in some chit chat high school bs in the kitchen, because we didn’t see her for 15 mins. The manager caught us before we could get to the door, and apologized for the long wait. When she came back to the table, the server did not apologize at all. Take that poor work ethic somewhere else please, and thank you.

I went for my birthday before the Texan game. The service was amazing. I was nervous about the service since the Unilocal reviews were so bad regarding service. Demar was our waiter. He was very knowledgeable on food options and very personable and kind. He went above and beyond to make me feel special on my big day! Thank you. . Drinks: TKO drink was a little too sweet and syrupy but still tasty. My favorite dish: Crab nachos– very big. delicious crab meat dip on top Ordered also the Queen Crab with spicy seasoning-tasty as well. Well seasoned My husband ordered the crab burger which the bun was burnt. He said the crab cake was good but would not reorder again. Overall, good experience

This place has the worst costumer service, all the girls are rude, don’t greet and take forever to serve. Took 20 mins to get a glass of tea. As I stared down my waitress is the only time she came to assist us. The manager walked around and seem friendly. I wanted to complain but whats the use. I Just wanted to get out of there. My husband and I were starving that’s the only reason why we stayed.

I don’t think I’ve ever given out a 1 star review, but here we go. I came here for a quick dinner with my Realtor between house showings. It was 630p on a Thursday and we had an hour to kill. As we walked in, we were welcomed by 5 chatting girls at the from hostess stand. I believe one or two were greeters and the rest were part of the PM shift hanging around laughing. Confused they asked us TWICE how many were in our party… then finally sat us down. Surprised that the manager who was standing steps behind them, didn’t clear out the area, we went along and were seated. Our waiter then greeted us, brought our drinks and took our clams appetizer order. 45MINUTESLATER we get it with no silverware. ATOVERANHOUR we get our fish n chips meals. Already late for our next appointment, we ask to speak to the manager. He was considerate of our time and bad experience that he quickly acknowledged their slow service and took care of our tab(the only positive of our exp). I’m not one to complain and definitely not a diva, but a true believer of customer service being an integral part of the job. I will not be returning to this location.

Although this is a chain restaurant, overall it is pretty good. This locations is where we ate when we first visited Houston. At that time, the servers were very good, and the food was very good. Lately, the service isn’t quite as good, but the food is still very good, especially if you’re in the mood for seafood, especially their crab pots. I can’t eat crabs — or am too lazy to do all that work, but my wife rave’s about them, and my kids love them as well. The prices are not too expensive, but if you order the crab pots, you’re talking about $ 25.00 per person. Overall, a good value for the money. Not too fancy, but real homey, and good food. Hopefully, you can get good service as well.
