Incredibly fast service. Pulled in and owner came out and replaced the bulbs I needed immediately. Great service like this is why they’ve been in business for 30 years. I will definitely be returning.

I had much confusion trying to figure out where to park and where the front door to the office was. Once I figured it out, I walked in to 3 gentleman having a conversation. None acknowledged me until they finished talking.
I asked how much it costs to swap out brakes. I had the parts. He said $ 85, $ 85 for front and rear. He said it would take 2 hours, but they also couldn’t do it until 1 because lunch. (It was currently 1130.)
I said thank you and left.
Today, I had my two rears brake pads changed out in about 15 minutes, and that’s with me asking questions in between.
Not so sure how «honest» these guys are, but I did not have a good experience. Poor customer service.

I’ve gone to Joseph’s auto several times to get quotes or have him check out a used car for me. The one time I needed to get my car fixed I got a couple of quotes from various body shops and Joseph’s auto came to be either comparable or less. I had a hit and run on my fiat abarth and was able to take my car in right after the new year and get it within 5 days.
The results turned out beautiful and I’m very happy with his service. Joseph is easy to work with, talk to and very talented.
I highly recommend his body shop.

I got into an accident. Searched for a body shop that had a free loaner car. Joseph’s does so I came here. Now, the area is in a sketchy part of town and the shop is one of those classic hole-​in-​the-​wall, family run shops. I was admittedly having regrets as I pulled into the parking lot. However, Joseph, the owner, made me feel welcome and at ease. He said he’d work with the insurance company on payment and not to worry, he’d have it fixed. I dropped it off on a Wednesday and got it back on Tuesday (mainly because he had to wait until an insurance adjuster came out, etc). The work was very solid. Replaced a fender, headlight, bumper, and grille. My 2014 Dodge Avenger looked as good as new.
I do want to say that the loaner cars they have are absolute clunkers (dirty, radio doesn’t work, stained, smelly)…I was kind of embarrassed to be seen driving around in it. But that’s why it’s free to drive while they’re working on your car. It did get me from point A to point B in those 6 days though.

This place was terrible when I came there for a simple vacuum hose repair for my air conditioner two men looked at me like I was dirt more or less to get out of here we can’t fix it

We’ve been going to Joseph for at least 15 years now. We are very comfortable with whatever Joseph tells us that needs to be done with our cars. We never doubt his honesty and integrity. He is very courteous and polite and charges reasonably.

Joseph and his crew are very friendly and knowledgeable. Once I arrived, within 10 min diagnosed the problem on my 4runner and had me back on the road in about an hour! Very affordable!

I’m new to Houston, and I’m searching for the best places to do business with… In consequence, I read and make decisions where to spend my money based on that business’ Unilocal reviews.
I had an automotive shop in Las Vegas that was perfect to my extremely limited mechanical skill set, but my 2000 Honda Accord had two lights turn on in the same week, so I hunted up an Automotive shop close to my place. Having read all the positive reviews, I chose Joseph Auto Service. Called to get an appointment, and was told to «just bring it down.» I did, explained the problems with the check engine light, and the SRS light. Joseph took my keys and I sat down in the reading room/​waiting room. Ten minutes later, he returned, explained why the lights were tripped, and that he’d fixed the problem, no charge… I asked, «Did you change the oil, too?» He looked at me, and said, Oh, you want the oil changed?” «Yessir.» He took the keys back, asked me for my contact information, and I went back to my book, and some friendly conversation with other patrons. A half hour later, and I was paid, a very reasonable rate, and on the road again.
Excellent service, friendly people, honest information. I’ll be back.

This place is awesome! The people that work here were friendlier and more knowledgeable than many of the national chains I’ve visited. I felt very comfortable doing business with Joseph’s Auto. They were polite, efficient, and honest. I never felt like they were trying to offer services I didn’t really need.
They were able to quickly diagnose what was wrong with my a/​c and offer a fair price.
I was very satisfied with the efficiency, customer service, and the work they did on my car, which was ready several hours sooner than scheduled.

I went here due to the excellant reviews. I had a battery light blinking and was not sure if it was battery or the alternator or something else. My car was checked and surprise nothing was wrong. I can’t believe how honest he was. he did not even charge me to check my car but stated that my car was in excellant shape and not to worry. My grandchildren ride in my car so its very important to know its working right. I would recommend this guy to anyone. I am floored an actual honest car repair.

AC went out in my car in the hot Houston summer. I had a long time freon leak and the air also suddenly stopped blowing. 1 hour and $ 200 later, I left happy. Other places tried to charge me just to tell me what the problem was or they wanted to keep my car for hours. I will definitely be going back for my car needs.

from toyota dealerships to individual car repair shops around sugar land and stafford, i’ve been quoted $ 300+ and 3 hours to overnight for just a mere 60k maintenance. how different can joseph auto service be? less than $ 200 (parts + labour + small repair + tax) and finishing 30 mins before the estimated time frame (1.5 hrs).
my corolla now runs better and smoother; nothing’s missing and nothing’s leaking/​breaking. special thanks to my friend who suggested this place.

What can I say, I trusted Joseph within 10 minutes of meeting him. And I have no reason not to. He’s honest and tries to help you the most he can. I brought my car in once and he gave me a fair estimate (other places I called gave me around double, or more than double what Joseph estimated). He agreed to take my car in immediately on a Friday and agreed to get it done by Monday.
Sure enough I called on Monday, and my car was ready to be picked up that afternoon. I wished they had called me, but I probably jumped the gun. The car looked good as new, which is amazing since I couldn’t open the door before.
Joseph, I am very impressed with your work and will always come back!
I actually came back to get another estimate on some cosmetic work and he gave such a fair, honest price. This guy is great.

So my father is the type of guy who is constantly paranoid that people are trying to rip him off, overcharge him, etc. «Consumer Report» is seriously one of his favorite publications. And he painstakingly compares prices as if his life depended on it. It’s a little freakish at times, but hey more money to leave behind to me! Just kidding, for real.
Take that all into consideration and consider that he’s exclusively patronized Joseph Auto Service for around a decade now. So naturally Joseph is kind of my default mechanic — since I am about as car-​dumb as they come (hello stereotype!) and well, yeah, I trust my dad…
Vicky J.‘s review is pretty typical of dealings with Joseph. He just happens to be an honest car mechanic (I perpetuate stereotypes, he defies them?) — every time he’s quoted us on a part — it’s been the actual fair market value (or cheaper). He doesn’t charge an arm and a leg for labor and his turn around is pretty quick and reasonable. And if he happens to misdiagnose or not fully resolve the car issue in question — he will fully owe up to it and do whatever he can to remedy it without extra charges.
I recently totaled my car (not that you care, but it wasn’t my fault!) and my insurance was taking forever and day trying to work through my case. I must’ve stored my car at Joseph’s for two weeks and although he was not too pleased about that but he didn’t charge me a ridiculous storage fee — just kindly asked me to get a move on. .. I would have to say that was pretty swell of him.
So yeah, that’s been our experience with Joseph Auto Service thus far — consistently good and reasonably priced service. In eBay terms. Joseph = A+++++++

Thanks to Joseph Auto Service, I did not spend an arm and leg to fix my car A/​C problem.
I have a 2004 TSX, and I swear my car’s A/​C was possessed. It would randomly stop working, then I would push some buttons on the dashboard, and all the sudden it would start working again for a long period of time. This went on for a couple months, and then finally it started happening very often in the middle of summer.
I called some mechanics to see if they could diagnose the problem over the phone and get a rough estimate on how much I was going to have to shell out. Acura told me some retarded quote to just diagnose the problem, so I definitely did not want to go to them.
I called up Joseph since a family friend swears by him, and he just told me to bring my car in and he would have a look. When I was on my way to his shop, my AC was of course working fine, but right when I pulled into the shop, it stopped working (go figure!) I was so happy to see it stopped working, so he could properly diagnose the problem and fix it immediately.
He literally took a look for 10 minutes, ran some tests, and found the problem (I think it related to some relay thing under the hood). All he did was replace that small part, and I was off on my merry way! The best part was that he only charged me $ 40 ($ 15 for the part, $ 25 for labor).
