K and N Appliance Repair

In fairness, I didn’t use this repair company, so I cannot speak to the quality of their work. Today I had such a poor experience with their telephone staff that I would definitely not have them work in my home. I called trying to schedule a service call for a very simple issue with my microwave, but the person who answered the phone literally refused to set up an appointment. She said the manufacturer had to send them a service order request, but since I had just hung up with the manufacturer, I knew this to be incorrect (appliance is out of warranty). I stated multiple times that I would pay their standard rates for a service call, even explaining how it worked with the manufacturer from personal experience, but she was adamant that she wasn’t sending anyone without an order from the manufacturer. Finally, she put me on hold and had another, equally determined to not be of service person, inform me that I needed to call the manufacturer — no offer to look into it, no offer to see if there might be a way to set up service for a paying customer, just «We can’t do it». If setting up an appointment is that difficult, my microwave repair is probably way too much for them.
