I found a study spot! A nice, quiet, and homey little café shop near the Medical center. I’ve bookmarked this place for quite some time now and finally got the chance to stop by. The lady behind the counter was super friendly and sweet. The vibe of the café is really chill and relaxing, which was so inviting when I needed a place to just sit and do some work. They even rent out laptops too. DIRTYCHAI I thought this was a chai that was really spiced, but found out after taking a sip that it was chai with an espresso shot. I returned it and got something else. First of all, the espresso was very prominent in the drink and you don’t taste the chai because of the pungent flavor of espresso. It’s very strong and you can definitely get some energy from it. THECHAICHAICHAI– homemade chai latte After returning my first order, I got the regular chai latte. This drink was not very spiced and didn’t taste like black tea with milk. I didn’t taste the chai and it was very milked/watered down. I didn’t like the taste of this drink one bit. The consistency was off. No chai, no spice, no bueno. I’ll be back, but I’ll definitely order something else. I’ll need to experiment with the menu, but I’m sure I’ll find something I’ll like. Coming here to get some work done for school and enjoying the drinks.

I absolutely LOVE this place. The ambiance is as though walking into a cozy kitchen filled with family. The fresh baked delicacies often still warm from the oven. The healthy home-made smoothies and ginger lemonade. Oh ., and of course the coffee. The most decadent menu of food and drink I have ever experienced! And upon walking in the door the owners and staff are truly happy to see you and make you feel welcome. Within walking distance to me but I will soon be moving out of the area … it is this local family«kitchen» that I will miss the most. But definitely worth driving to … a small-town hospitality getaway sweetly nestled in a chic urban area.

Currently my favorite coffee shop in the area! The inside is perfectly cozy. Eccentric, afrocentric art and fun messages are abundant when you take a look around. The décor and natural lighting give the place a vibrant vibe, but it’s definitely quiet enough to get substantial work done. I love that there’s a variety in seating; I could come in to work alone at a desk or with a group on a couch here, whereas many places are only set up for social studying. There is a large, comfy couch, and a few regal-looking chairs which are perfect for waiting for drinks as well. A laptop or two if you need one to borrow, and a printer, too. There’s a patio with shaded tables as well. And y’all, SOMANYOUTLETSINSIDEANDOUT. It’s a student’s dream come true. Closed on Sunday, so don’t pull a Raven and roll up with your backpack before church. The drinks are delicious! I’ve had the Latte 4 Work with toasted marshmallow syrup, and I was in heaven(and well caffeinated). The hazelnut iced latte is also scrumptious, and served out of an adorable mason jar, if you’re into that. So many options, flavors, milks — everyone can find something for a reasonable price here. And I haven’t even gotten around to trying the bagels, cookies, pastries, ICECREAM, need I go on? Best of all, the staff is so friendly. The baristas are too sweet, and they’re so helpful and kind. Many coffee shops can learn a great deal from the way Kaffeine does business, and I feel great supporting this local spot as they indulge my coffee needs.

Nice cozy place to study. Plenty of tables to sit down. The staff here are nice and friendly. The place is neat and clean. Free WiFi is available. Orderd latte 4 work with light sweetness and it was delicious. Wasn’t too busy when I was there. Definitely will return.

Great, friendly staff! Nice ambiance, if you haven’t tried their kolache fresh out of the oven, you’re missing out. Also, do yourself a favor and ask for the snooze button it’s a blend of mint, mocha, and raspberry. It didn’t sound like a great mix, but omg it was life changing!

Man, do I wish this place had been here when I lived on Hermann Drive! Since I moved to Houston five years ago, this area(Hermann Park/Museum District/Med Center) has really started to boom: coffeeshops, restaurants, shops! It’s exciting to see the area develop! Kaffeine is great! Great staff, great menu, great seating options! My cappuccino was delicious, and my fiancé’s latte was just as sweet as he wanted it(too sweet for me)! And I loved the seating options: tables indoor, tables outdoor, and little personal desk areas for studying or working! And they have WiFi and a printer(not sure about the use of the printer). Kaffeine is definitely a great place for studying/working or for hanging out with friends! So glad Kaffeine opened up in my old neighborhood! Hopefully I’ll make it another time or two before we say adiós to Houston in less than a month!

Lovely and quiet coffee shop that feels like home. Couches and chairs a plenty for you to lounge on. I dropped by because I was on the road traveling and had a work emergency and this place is equipped with food, lotsa coffee a restroom and wifi!(The latter two criteria are especially important to me because most coffee shops don’t have them). Coffee is fairly good and the staff are very friendly!

The Mornin’ Fix tastes just like a vanilla latte and has creamy blend. I love the antique furniture and eclectic styles inside. It’s really a «go to get away» or chill café that is pretty relaxing. The staff is pretty laid back and most importantly are great baristas themselves. Music, hookah, and extended hours on Friday

Thanks again, Unilocal!I found this place after a dental appointment at Lasting Impressions down the street. Spicy link kolache and cappuccino did it for me. Manager tells me they’ll be participating in a neighborhood international festival soon. And the quiet sign at the door is a welcome mark of civility.

Delicious Koffee !! Yes I spelt it wrong on purpose! Never had the food but will be soon! All I know is that this Koffee is better then Starbucks anyway! Order the cup of Commotion! Hot! Cold is good too !

Cute and cozy with various places and spaces fit for a casual conversation or a last minute study session on finals week. This is the coffee house atmosphere I imagine. The music is soft and soothing, not blaring through the speakers. The wi-fi actually works! Plenty of seating available inside and out for the loveliest of days. I have yet to witness it being overly crowded with coffee drinkers gone mad. The décor and artwork of local Houstonians represents a homey family oriented atmosphere with wooden tables and rustic bookshelves filled with books that peak several areas of interest. The service is friendly and helps to accommodate the most curious of coffee palates. Pastries and pigs in a blanket are available for a bite to eat. Will definitely be returning here! Thanks Kaffeine Coffee!

I came here on a whim and with my trusty Unilocal app it led me here. Luckily I was able to find parking when I drove by this place. The place is small and quaint but I enjoyed the artistic décor. I noticed the chairs and seatings right away. They have a pretty good menu and interesting choices such as their custom coffee and the red eye. I decided to get the iced mocha latte with almond milk and their kolache. The staff was wonderful and friendly. The cashier had no problem telling me what their red eye was. I like a staff that is knowledgeable about their drinks. I opted for a seat next to an outlet on a high chair. Very comfy and convenient for me. My order came out several minutes later. The only reason for the 4 stars instead of the 5 is because the kolache was kinda eh, to me. It was dry and would probably tasted better if it was warmed up. The best(and important) was the coffee. It came in a mason glass jar and dripped with chocolate. I mixed it up a bit before tasting. It looked like it was gonna be bitter but it was perfect taste. The blend and almond milk was tongue satisfying to me. Barista good job! I definitely be back if I am around this area again.

Absolutely delightful and worthy of the great reviews! Things to love about this coffee shop: — incredibly friendly people work here! — big windows with lots of natural light — delicious baked goods — free coffee with Unilocal check in — character! lots of different sized tables and chairs/textures etc. Nice break from corporate franchises… — the time I went was not very crowded so it does not seem hard to get access to an outlet for charging devices I’ll be back, this is my kind of coffeeshop for computer work!

Four stars for now because I’m tempted to go for the five but I need more samples. That being said, YAS. FINALLY. A café near Rice that’s NOT overloaded with people on the weekend(looking at you, Common Bond! Southside! Siphon!) Kaffeine does«café» the homey way — family owned joint with lots of local art on the walls, wooden tables and stools, murals on the wall both inside and on the outer walls of the joint. If it wasn’t for Unilocal I would have totally missed this place driving by – it’s on the end of a tiny, worn-down shopping strip along Almeda road. DRANK I almost forget that I’m supposed to be studying for finals instead of tapping out a Unilocal review while I’m seated here, it’s so chill. With cheaper prices comes lower quality coffee, but I’m not going to expect hipster level snob coffee like I do at Southside(love you, Southside!) while I’m at Kaffeine. I got the Pecan Drip and was surprised that it was pre-sweetened. Just gotta remember to ask for it black the next time around. I can be forgiving, because I really dig this atmosphere. AMBIANCE Kaffeine is a bit reminiscent of Ben’s Beans near Discovery Green park in the Downtown area, subtract a dash of obnoxious funk and add some well-meaning warmth. It’s got outlets on cubbies along the wall, WiFi, a quiet and very relaxed atmosphere, cheaper coffee prices. This place has earned the title for #1 off campus study spot with its slow-paced atmosphere and low-stress environment. There’s also a patio outside the café if you wish to chat outside. Music isn’t too loud, but enough to produce some background. I get lost and overwhelmed at other cafes around the Museum District, but in Kaffeine I can lose track of time in the best way. So glad I finally got a chance to step in. Yay for neighborhood coffee shops!

Uhmm, I truly thought I’d written a review for Kaffeine Coffee. I absolutely LOVE it here. I probably should change my order up sometimes, because they know what I want before I order — Mocha Latte and a sausage kolache! It is a traditional, quaint, and cozy coffee shop, it is the perfect place for studying or meeting. There are laptops for use, if needed. There is a TV that usually has news updates streaming. There’s artwork and even books for your enjoyment. Everything is reasonably and competitively priced. If you prefer to sit outside, you can do so on the patio. There’s limited parking in front of the shopping strip, but additional parking across the street. *Note: They close at noon on Mondays, but are open until late evening on other days. The baristas and staff are more tham wonderful, but I have one complaining question? Can you please bring the raspberry flavoring back? I totally miss my raspberry mocha latte! :-)

To start off, I would give this place 3.5 stars. The service was wonderful and the barista graciously gave the wifi password. In terms of coffee quality, it’s no Blacksmith or Siphon. The foam on my mocha was kind of weak, and the chocolate part seemed to be just a generous squirt of chocolate syrup rather than good quality, rich cocoa powder. But the ambiance was delightful. A bit topsy turvy, a bit vintage, a little quaint. I loved it. The atmosphere was pretty quiet and I managed to get a lot of work done. Plus: OUTLETS. YES. Love me some outlets. Last note: each person gets a different kind of mug! Mine was a marble pattern that made the studying more bearable. It’s the little things, my friends.

Charming neighborhood coffee shop ideal for studying, working or meeting up with friends for a great tasting cup of coffee tea or dessert. Staff was friendly and the cappuccino was decent. However, don’t expect any fancy coffee design on your cappuccino. Power Outlets are available and Internet connection was awesome! Facilities are clean and spacious.
