«Three-​Legged Willie» … a hero of the Texas revolution, judge, statesmen, newspaper editor, … came to mind for this review, and the similarities documented (quotes followed by review notes). A Quiz is included.
For starters, he wore a western bow tie, like Colonel Sanders.
And whereas KFC’s chicken is named after Colonel Sanders. Williamson County is named after Robert McAlpin Williamson («Willie»). (Ref. 2)

And I rebel against a lame product from a large corporation: I find the soggy crust of the modern version of the original recipe to be poor in comparison to the old days, when I worked at KFC (my 1^st job) and the crust had slightly crisp crust. The biscuit and gravy were better, too. Nevertheless, I enjoyed my meal. — –
