I hate that I found this gem today b/c this is the last weekend they will be open. The two sisters sold the diner =(While enjoying the stuffed biscuit, the waffles and chicken I thought to myself, WOWOMG I found a place close to home and no need to go into town for chicken and waffles. If you love great southern cooking you have to visit this place before it’s gone forever.

If this gem was in-town, it would be overrun with customers, but luckily for us outside the loopers, it’s still yet undiscovered! Owned by twin sisters, this small café is housed in a house-shaped building that sits in a parking lot in front of non-descript strip center on Hwy 6 between Little York and 529. Hands down, this is the best breakfast in all of Houston. A plate of scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, hash browns or grits and a biscuit(homemade) or toast will only set you back $ 6.99. For those with a sweet tooth, dry the homemade waffles either with our without the wings. And if you like your grits buttery, this is the place for you! But no trip here would be complete without sampling their homemade buscuit combinations. Think flaky, homemade buscuits the size of your hand brushed with just the right amount of butter and then stuffed with all kinds of flavor explosions such as BBQ, taco(meat & cheese), spinach & cheese, Sante Fe chicken, homemade gravy, and more! Tried the taco buscuit today for the first time and loved them so much we took three home for tomorrow’s breakfast! If you miss breakfast, then lunch is just as good. Pick from pork chops, brisket, ham or whatever meat they have that day and pair it with collard greens, corn, macaroni & cheese, sweet potatoes and more. The menu changes daily so every time you come it expect to be surprised. Lastly, they offer a wide selection of homemade pies and cakes that you can purchase by the slice(or take the whole cake home if you love it that much — and trust me — you will!) Lemon cake, sweet potato pie, cheesecake, strawberry pound cake and a triple chocolate cake that just melts in your mouth. Even though it’s counter service, the owners always personally stop by to check on us and make sure we are happy, refill drinks, and just say hi. If you are every out on the NW side of town and have a taste for old-fashioned home cooking and don’t want to spend a fortune, Koffee & Stuf’d Biscuit Company is well worth your time!
