Watch out! This place always tried to overcharge. You better check your receipt before you pay. I shopped at Kroger on 9330 Jones Rd At West Rd many times. The manager and many staff are often very rude and do not really care whether they overcharged customers or not. I went grocery shopping today, when I checked out, first I found out organic kale price is higher than usual price. I asked them, the manager told me they increased price every Wednesday, which is right. Then I noticed they tried to charge me organic blackberry price, I know what I picked up are not organic, I tried to talk with manager, who is an old guy, he was very impatient and frustrated, he told me they are organic. I then went back to check and found out 71575610022 is organic, and 1575610020 is not and is 0.88 cent per each, which is what I picked up. When I came back to cashier the second time, I went to another register, this time I noticed the amount is even higher. I said to the cashier it is weird. The cashier ‘s mentor, the lady whose name is Jenny, she scorned at me. I walked away then noticing a small onion was charged like 1.5 b. I then went back, the cashier whose name is Jenny obviously looked at me with despise, I asked her if she can weigh the onion again, she was very impatient, but soon she realized they overcharged me because onion is only like 0.6 b. She then tried to give the difference. However, I know she was trying hard, it took her long time to figure out how much she need give me back. I tried to convince her I just need my receipt and leave. The reason I came back it that I need prove they made a mistake. Jenny was very upset, she talked to me with an ironical tone, you came back because you care about money. How come you say you don’t care about money. I was very annoyed, I told her I went back because I need remind them of they constantly made mistakes they need double check when people doubts instead of ignoring people with scorn.

Great location with a good selection of organic food which I love. All of them staff that works here are more than friendly and the woman that works in the bakery with pink streaks in their hair usually always gives us a free cookie which my son adores and asks for everytime we go to Kroger.

Poor selection of everything. Don’t buy the«clearance» food. It wasn’t at the expiration date yet but let’s just say bad things happened within minutes of eating it leaving no doubt as to the cause.

I always use this Kroger and usually have no issues but my rating is about the Manager tonight who said she was Ms. Beth. So a few days ago my husband and my brother went shopping and got a few things including bread. Well two days goes by and my brother noticed his loaf was already moldy and expired. Today he went back to exchange it, we didn’t have our receipts, but seeing as how it was Kroger brand we didn’t think they would have an issue. Well my brother goes in and speaks to the Manager Ms. Beth. She literally called him a liar and said there was no way that it came from her shelves and he was lying about getting it from this location. There was even another customer near who over heard the way she talked to him! My brother not being confrontational, just walked away. When he came home, he told us what happened and he asked if we had the receipts anywhere. After looking for a while we determined we had thrown it out. I know this is over less than a $ 2 purchase but at this point it was literally just about proving to her that she was wrong and totally out of line for calling him a liar. I called up to Kroger and asked for the manager. Ms. Beth got on the line and was aware of the situation. I asked her if she was the one he spoke with and she said no he spoke with an employee at the bakery who was not a manager. She also said she had told her employee at the bakery to tell him to take a new loaf up to the front to exchange it. She said the employee at the bakery informed her that my brother just ran off. So I told her what happened and she acted like she couldn’t believe that her employee said that and that she didn’t know what was goin on with her employees tonight! She said she couldn’t be at all places in the building, as if she had relayed the message that he could have a free loaf of bread and her employee didn’t do what she asked her to do. I didn’t know, but while I was on the phone with Ms. Beth, my brother had driven back to Kroger. So as I’m getting off the phone with her she said for him to come back and she would have the bread for him but then she spotted my brother and said there he is, I’m lookin right at him. So we hung up and I assumed who ever my brother spoke to the first time lied about being the manager and that Ms. Beth was going to make it right. My brother came back with the loaf of bread and you would think that is the end of this story, right?! Well my brother had his phone recording in his pocket bc he assumed he was going to be spoken to rudely again. So on his recording you can hear Ms. Beth talking to me on the phone and then talk to him about the bread. It turns out Ms. Beth lied to me over the phone and that she was the one who called my brother a liar in the first place. You can even hear her on the recording say«we were just messing with you the first time». Trying to play it off! All I can say is wow! Over a loaf of bread! I don’t know what her excuse is but it’s not okay to call your customers liars and then lie about being the one who said it!

Beware of this location! Criminal employees will charge you twice! Today, when I paid at the self-checkout area and swiped and signed my signature ALREADY! Gladys the self-checkout attendant didn’t take my word and then followed the manager’s affirmation who also didn’t believe I swiped my card and signed already. They demanded I swipe my card again when I clearly told them it went through, and this would charge me twice! The manager insisted the transaction didn’t go through and it would be in the best interest to swipe again. I believe Gladys accidentally pressed something by accident on her keypad device and caused this mishap. She was downright rude and senile when it came to processing a simple transaction. The incompetence of these employees is beyond comprehension. I checked my credit card account and low and behold! I was charged $ 120.36 twice on my pending transaction activity! They gave me a run around in the customer service department and my ice cream was melting while the other items were spoiling away. I ended up returning everything in frustration. I had to speak with two different customer service employees while the manager that screwed me over was nowhere in sight and Gladys?! Well I wasn’t issued an apology or anything and a few employees who walked by, were staring at me like this was my fault. Not only was I charged an overall total of $ 240.72, but I had to wait 30 minutes in the customer service department and no one seemed to be competent enough to do a simple refund or cancellation due to the problems caused by them. This is possibly the worst experience EVER! Gladys deserves to be fired and the manager should be demoted to the Deli department. I won’t be back to this location ever and if I’m not refunded I’ll be filing legal charges against the individuals who caused an overcharge of $ 240.72.

Customer service had always been awesome at this very location. The quality of the products? No complaints here. Only thing I could say bothered me was the restroom. usually the restroom is clean but the last couple of times I went in there, it has been dirty. For that… Kroger only gets 4 stars

Everything I need is in stock, but like most grocery stores I have been to in Houston the produce is a bit depressing. Classic Kroger store though, reminds me of our own King Soopers at home

Recently remodeled due to the HEB opening up across the street. Tried the HEB, wound up coming back to Kroger. Kroger is a bigger store, and has more of a selection in the items I want the most. I’ve recently had a hiccup here with one of the managers(Doug) who flat out refused to tell a woman she couldn’t bring a cat into the store. Claimed it could be a service animal and he couldn’t do anything about it. I tried to explain to him that well no, cats are not generally trained as service animals and even if it were, it had to be on a harness and leash. This was just a crazy woman carrying her cat around the store. I spoke to the general manager of the store about this incident, and he immediately took care of the problem. I also told him we wouldn’t have had this situation had Doug simply said«yes sir, thank you for letting me know, I’ll look into it immediately» instead of wanting to argue with me. Either way, the situation was resolved, and I’ve returned as a customer. The store does a lot of business, so there is turn-over of their items. They keep it very clean inside the store, and products are laid out in an easy-to-navigate fashion. Prices are typical of most other Kroger stores. Big parking lot, deli is clean, and the aisles are kept stocked and products fronted.

they have a gas station outside as well. 3 cents off per galloon with a kroger plus card(free). typical kroger — or grocery store for all the out-of-staters… usually pretty stocked and with the kroger plus card you can definitely get some good deals. if you spend $ 100 you get 10 cents off a galloon fill up at the gas station.
