Ordered a chocolate cake with strawberries for a birthday party– came and they had forgotten to write on it. The man scribbled on it with some glaze– not pretty. The cake was ok… not great, not bad. After seeing the reviews from before– I feel like they’ve changed ownership. They didn’t have pupusas and now have Mexican ice pops. Their focus is definitely sweet bread and donuts… not so much on cakes. Will I go back?- probably not.

WOW! Best pastries from a Mexican bakery I have ever had. These are comprable to French pasteries. Oh did I mention they had LOCALALLNATURAL Ice cream? They are like gelato! OMG, increasing my gym hours cause this bakery is too close to comfort. If you see the blonde gringa there. Its probably me!

Some sweet breads are fresh while a few other contained were not. I also like they have Mexican ice cream and regular American ice cream. While not satisfied with one hard sweet bread that had jelly I asked an employee if I could exchanged for another bread, the employer acted like she couldn’t understand the bread was hard. After several explanations that the bread was not good she finally allowed me to get another bread.

I absolutely love the papusa’s… I should’ve been the first to write a review but its only right the middle eastern guy, Martin, that told me about it did. I don’t speak Spanish that great but if you can understand a little… This is somewhere you should visit!!!

Their pastries and drinks(agua de fruta) are delicious. They also have some of the best pupusas in the city. Be forewarned, they only make pupusas from 6pm-10pm, Thursday thru Sunday. Also helps if you know a bit of Spanish.
