I don’t know why, but for some reason, I’ve gone in this store over 10 times and walked out empty handed. I don’t know why I continue to try other than it’s close to home. I’ve only made 2 purchases here over the past 2 years. The staff is friendly enough, for the most part. I dealt with a man who worked there one time and he was a bit rude, but otherwise the staff is helpful. If I shopped here more often, I’d hate the store hours, they close so early, even on the weekends. Oh well, there aren’t many other options around, so I have to settle for what I can get, I just wish I could actually find good purchases here. I shop at other LBs, and I can usually at least find a good clearance item.

For obese folks, Lane Bryant is a fashion haven, because many other retailers just allocate a small section of their stores for plus sizes. At Lane Bryant, every item in the store is designed for plus size woman in mind. The store is generally divided into career wear, casual wear, clearance, and undergarments. They’ve added shoes, purses, and other fashion– jewelry pieces also. The problem is, you have to hope that you like the fashion styles of the season, because otherwise your out of luck. The unfortunate reality is that despite the large population of overweight and obese people in the United States the fashion trends haven’t really been passed along as they could/should. They have a reward system that gives you points for every $ 50 you spend. These points can sometimes be very helpful for saving on clothes. A couple times a year they have major sales where prices are slashed by 30, 40, or 50%, but they aren’t heavily advertised. In fact, you might want to call ahead before driving over to see if a sale is going on. There are certain dresses and shirts in fabric with low fabric quality that makes me find the price is questionable. Yesteryear this was my go to source for plus size clothes. I’ve now moved on to other retailers to get a better variety of fashion trends and styles. Every now and then, I peek inside to see what’s available, but it’s not my favorite plus size fashion store.
