Cheap tacos, quick counter-service, large tacos. Did I say cheap? I stopped here last couple days for breakfast. I have seen the line out the door if you arrive close to 7:30am, but at 6:45am there is not a long line. All breakfast tacos are $ 2.25. I ordered two my first visit, and they were too much. There is a lot of food in the tortillas(which themselves are not that small). Last visit only ordered one and it left me satisfied. I will be back because it is quick, fast, filling and close to my house.

Best tacos ever, hands down! I’ve had tacos everywhere, Mexican food is my favorite. These are the best tacos I ever had, I drive here 30min away to get these tacos! The line may be long but it’s worth the wait!

This place is the bomb diggity! If you’re looking for great breakfast tacos and a low key atmosphere this is your place. The tortillas are homemade and fresh along with everything else. If you aren’t getting the spicy sausage and egg you’re doing life wrong. I will warn you, yhr spicy sausage is SPICY! It is not for wimps. The line is always out the door, but it moves at a reasonable pace and it is totally worth the wait. If you’re looking for a Torchy’s experience or something similar this is not your place. Laredo’s is a delicious hole in the wall and a Houston institution. They do things simply and they do it well. I love coming here and you should definitely try it out.

Authentic Mexican cuisine. Very reasonable prices. It says a lot about a place when it’s busy at 2−3pm on a Saturday afternoon with the line going out the door. Most of the business is take out so the sitting arrangements are plentiful. Micheladas are super authentic and have the perfect balance of spicy. I had the beef and pork tacos, by themselves they are mild spicy– add in the green salsa and they are perfect — stick with no salsa or the red for the faint of heart lol

I’ve been going here for the best breakfast tacos in Houston for years. Pros — tasty tacos, big selection, authentic, and fast given the long lines they serve. Cons — long lines, not very healthy, not fancy. They can be closed without previous notice and the overflow parking lot is uneven with serious potholes. On weekends the line is so long it isn’t worth it for me. All in all, the tacos are great. You just have to put up with a few inconveniences to get them.

I really like Laredo’s Tacos because their tortillas are hot, fresh, delicious, and homemade. The line is always long so it takes a while to get your tacos but it is worth the wait. The spicy fajita was on point, the Barbacoa was delicious and not overly greasy like in most places, and the chicharron was very well seasoned. I highly recommend this place to everyone in Houston also the decorations are great if you’re a Houstonian and love our teams.

I have been enjoying the absolute best breakfast tacos, I have found to date, no one surpasses Laredo Taqueria when it comes to Mexican food. It is not Tex-Mex but might be a little closer to Mex/Tex. There flour tortillas are handmade every morning fresh and there are no other tortillas that melt in your mouth like Laredo’s. They do not skimp or cut back on any types of meat, quality of meat or quantity. Every dish served that day has been made fresh for that day. Some dishes must begin being prepared the night before to truly get the flavors blended perfectly. Each item served is made fresh each day, from the Tortilla’s to the Barbacao, and all breakfast tacos. The soups(oh the ever so delicious soups) are made with the best ingredients and there are 2 true ingredients that cannot be bought, bartered or borrowed. Love and pride I believe are the two ingredients that allow Laredo Taqueria to stand head and shoulders above all others. If you go on the weekends and be prepared to stand in line. It is well worth the wait. The people, the conversations and the love of the food is what you will hear those who are waiting sharing with one another and the happy atmosphere is one of it many attributes. If the term waiting in line prevents you from trying these amazing dishes don’t let it the line moves very quickly, because of the efficiency the organ my Seshan and the happiness that you feel surround the entire building. The two brothers that run this location will always make you feel like you are entering their personal dining room as though you were personally invited and a close a member of the family. I salute Laredo Taqueria for being the absolute best Taqueria, Mexican restaurant, that incorporates a family atmosphere and has the most amazing food. With all sincerity, Davida W.

Laredo has a reputation as one of Houston’s best establishments for breakfast tacos. While I went for dinner and didn’t have a chance to try out some of those famous breakfast tacos, their dinner tacos more than compensated. Located right off of Washington, there is almost always a line at this casual taqueria. But the line moves quickly. The lady taking my order didn’t know English very well but hey what can you do. I went with the asado de puerco(pork) taco which was served in a nice sauce with a little kick to it. Also went with the chicken legs taco which is a drumstick placed inside a taco. This was kind of comical as you obviously have to eat the chicken off the bone so I guess it’s really a chicken leg with a side of a tortilla? Either way, the drumstick was well-seasoned. Your tacos are served with two salsas: one red and one green. With each taco going for a little more than $ 2, these are some mighty good cheap tacos.

This is my favorite breakfast place for a great soft taco! I like the spicy potato taco with the green hot sauce. It is so tasty! Enjoy my friends.

I am a self proclaimed taco snob and this place is LEGIT. Like these tacos will make you cry tears of sheer joy due to the deliciousness. They are plain in comparison to other tacos but the flavors shine through. The tacos: I had a picadillo(shredded beef & potato), carne asada and asada de puerco. I had the corn tortillas and opted to get the smear of refried beans. That’s the taco. No cilantro or onions or additional toppings. They do have 2 different salsas: red and green(spicy). The green salsa has some serious kick and the red is flavorful without the punch. The meats were cooked to perfection and were juicy. My only complaint(not that it will probably matter) is that the corn tortillas are buried underneath the flour tortillas. For people with food allergies(like myself), this makes me cringe. Otherwise, stellar tacos.

I first started coming to this place for the barbacoa tacos, and then realized they didn’t start selling the carne guisada tacos till one. I thought, «those tacos must be good if they are only available during a certain time slot that isn’t even high traffic time.» I was right. Their carne G game is in point. Go forth with this knowledge little birdies. Happy holidays.

Being from California I always had the idea that California has the best Mexican food but after the delicious experience of tasting the assortment of breakfast tacos, I am going to have re-evaluate my judgement. I highly recommend this place and don’t let the long line deter you from this place.

Had heard that this place serves the best breakfast tacos in Houston. And they were good, but it was kind of a hassle to get them. The line was out the door, but it didn’t move too slowly. We were probably in line for 10 minutes. Also — if you want corn tortillas, you have to ask ahead(but I’m not really sure that’s possible). Pretty authentic, but I’m pretty happy with tacos from Taquerias Arandas, where there’s no line and they have corn tortillas.

So I was super excited to take my grandmother here. She’s a true cook and people die for her food. So I decided to take her to a place know for their food. However, she has a different opinion. :( Review from Grandma– Tacos were the worse. Definitely do not recommend the squash and chicken taco nor the chicken and noodles one. Super watery that it made the tortilla get soggy and puffed. Would rather eat some from Taco Bell. A lot of flavor and not watery. Feeling bad that she didn’t try the fajita ones. I gave her a bite of mine. Cont… Much better! They should stick to these only. Forget about the others. No wonder the pan was packed to the brim when I went to the taco station. There you go. Season and don’t let the meats get watery. Now, before you ask«why didn’t she go ask?» Well, She would have told them but with their cocky signs of no exchange or refunds and«we treat you like we want» type of ambiance. It kind of makes you think they don’t care about you.

Just writing this review makes me hungry for their food — its that good. I have gone a few times so I finally figured out what my «usual» order is. There were some things I didn’t particularly care for but I am not a big spicy person to begin with — my point being that I would try a few different things if you haven’t been. The line has ALWAYS been out the door each time we have gone which is not a big deal since it goes pretty quick — so just a heads up about that. The staff is pretty attentive and have always been helpful. Just go try it and you’ll see what I am talking about — your welcome lol

When we got there at 11:30 on a cold Wednesday, the line was out door. It went pretty fast so it wasn’t a huge deal. I had the spicy beef fajita special, my mom had a pastor plate. The spicy beef fajita meat was pretty good. It was tender, with chunks of sautéed onion, jalapeño, and tomato mixed in. I’d rate that a 4⁄5. I’ve definitely had more flavorful taqueria fajita, but the sautéed chunks were a nice addition. My mom’s pastor was a 5⁄5. It was some of the most rich pastor I’ve had, and really tender. You are served two salsas. One is a traditional Mexican jalapeño salsa that you find at many taquerias. Theirs is a great version, super spicy. They also serve a red salsa which was neither here nor there for me. Good flavor and enjoyed but not super strong flavor. Sides reviews next — Charro beans: I’m of the opinion that you literally can’t mess up charro beans. If without seasonings, beans are always good. That being said, their beans are pretty bland. I’d rate them at a 2⁄5. I’d say skip charros here as you can get better at other taquerias. However, the retried beans are pretty tasty, very creamy. Their rice is pretty standard, but fluffy which is a plus in my book. My reoccurring thought is, there are other taquerias comparable in flavor and cheaper in price. So is it worth the wait and the crowd?

There are two periods in my life where I find myself awake and starving at or before 7 am. When I was younger and was hungover/still awake from a night of partying, or now when human alarm clock(the bébé) decides to start the day super early. And in those cases it’s time to head to Laredo for a hearty breakfast taco… Or 2. My favorite is a mix of huevos and papas Mexicanos and another mix of chorizo & egg with spicy sausage(pictured). Warning — these are tacos with a kick! Mixed tacos come out to be $ 2.75. The refried beans give it an extra savory flavor that will hold you over way past lunch. If you go after 8, expect a line out the door. Parking is in the Laredo lot and also across the street.
