This place has some of the best authentic Mexican food. On the weekends the barbacoa and carnitas are the best. Sometimes it does get crowded, so be patient. The gorditas are the best I’ve ever had because everything is fresh… the fajita is tender and flavorful. It’s a must have.

No hay ni donde estacionarse y los espacios que si hay tienen unos oyos grandes. Se tardan mucho en despachar.

I got a tip from someone that this was a great Mexican bakery. I was in the neighborhood(driving down the Beltway) and decided to stop by. I’d give them a 3.5 stars based on my experience. The place is large and clean. It’s much larger than any other Mexican bakery I have ever been in. The items are displayed in cases only accessible by the counter workers. A lot of people like to be able to go in and get their own items, but I like that there aren’t tons of people’s hands in the cases throughout the day. I would have liked some labeling on the items. If you aren’t familiar with something you have to ask about each individual item. It becomes a bit frustrating if you don’t speak Spanish, as the ladies who work there struggle with English(at least the ladies behind the bakery counter, the cashier had perfect English). We ended up getting a bunch of different items to try out. Two bags of goodies for $ 2.80. Crazy cheap! The other cool thing about this place is that they have a taqueria in the back. So you can get your meal and dessert and then have a seat and enjoy! Only 3 stars because I need some descriptions of the items. I really shouldn’t have to ask about each and every item and then struggle to understand. Also, my husband liked the cookies we got, but they were definitely not for me. I don’t think they were bad, just had a licorice taste which was very unexpected.
