While the food is ok, it’s really unacceptable that it takes 30 minutes to get a to go sandwich when no one is there. Drive further to a better place.

IFYOUKNOWVIETNAMESEFOODDON’T BOTHER. I decided to try multiple times before rating it 1 star. Extremely small portions, flavors are all off, watered down or «americanized». The Milam reputation will over get you so far.

Pretty good especially for the price! Had a #10 Ga Nuong/Chargrilled Chicken Sandwich. It has lots of flavor and meat is very tender. It is sweet with a little kick but not much at all. I will be back to try more.

Used Über Eats to try this place… While Über Eats was a 5 star service… This food was just ok. Worse i order 3 phos, each container was BARELY half full of broth. The steak never fully cooked in that small amount of broth with the noodles included. I took the broth of one container and split-poured it in the other two to put it at the right amount of broth for the container to house the soup like all the other phos in Houston do. So now i feel like i paid for 3 soups and only got 2. Nothing worse than bad phở while feeling like your getting ripped off at the same time. Also had no lemons. Will never eat Phở here again.

Same menu as the Les Grivales on Milam but not as tasty. They would stick to the same recipes and would probably get more business. I frequently go to the Milam location and their food is a lot more flavorful!

I ordered Phở Tai via ubereats on a hectic day at work. I knew going in that having Phở delivered wouldnt be like having it at a restaurant but I decided to take a risk. Both the taste and portions are lacking. There are much better Phở restaurants with delicious broth and good portions. The packaging was not well though out and they did not include a plastic bowl like many places offer when takingout. Definately not impressed.

The chargrilled bbq chicken vermicelli is great! So yummy. And they were the only place I could find open on one of the many flood days in Houston.

I’ve been trying to go to this place for a while. The website says its open until 3 a.m. on Saturday nights. Once I went at midnight and they were closed. Another time I wanted to see if they were open at about 11:30 and they didn’t bother to answer the phone. At this point I’ve lost interest and would rather just drive to Chinatown and eat at Don’s Café.

I’ve been to this location on Washington several times because of convenience but its been awhile. The food was OK. I called in an order for pick up, beef phở, chargrilled chicken vermicelli and shrimp spring rolls. The food was bland and the portions were much smaller than what they use to be. Don’t waste your time or money on this place! Go to the location on Milam it is 100 times better.

I came for lunch and got the pork banh mi. It was a good sandwich and they had cheap prices. It was nice and clean inside. Prompt and friendly service

With it being Cinco de Mayo and everything, I thought it would be a good idea to get a filling yet not too heavy meal before the margaritas start flowing. I had read that Les Givral’s Kahve’s bahn mi’s were mentioned as part of a list of 50 dishes you should try in Houston. So I decide to give it a try. I call to put in a to-go order and I’m told that they’re systems are down and if I could call back in 10 minutes. I didn’t really understand why they couldn’t take my order on paper but I obliged. I call back later and I’m put on hold. After about five minutes, they hang up on me. At this point, I was so frustrated that I took my business elsewhere. From reading other Unilocal reviews, it doesn’t seem like I missed out on much. If you can’t even handle a to-go order over the phone, I’m pretty worried about what’s going on in the kitchen…

I think only two people work here and neither one likes their job. I have been here several times and they are constantly arguing about where and who is going o ring people up; at the bar or at the counter. Then they have the nerve to ask for a tip when they wait on you ZERO, you get your own drink, dinnerware(if it is out), napkins, pick up your own food, most of the tie you have to wipe your table, you need a tip why? This night we had the Phở’s, their normal size bowel is a small bowel at a traditional Vietnamese restaurant, but it is all I can eat, I was not upset by the portion size. They amount of «fixings» they give you; the bean sprouts, cilantro, etc. is considerable less than other places, but you can ask for more if need. There is no need to waste food if you don’t have to. I had chicken Phở, it was tasty and filing for me, not overly salty which is something that is very important to me. The chicken was tender and all white meat. We split the BBQ pork Noodle bowl. Normal portion, maybe a bit larger, the pork had the typical sweetness that Asian BBQ has, and after mixed with the veggies, noodles, a touch of hoisin and sriracha sauce and BOOM you’ve got a rocking noodle dish. The food fluctuates. Sometimes it is good, sometimes its not. I think it depends on what you order. I have never like their Banh Mi’s, so much better elsewhere in the city. The bread they use is horrible.

One of the worst Banh mi I have ever had. Flavorless and the bread was not even crispy and chewy but more stale. If you are looking for a sandwich with just bread then you found your spot. There is hardly any meat or veggies and you are left with a french roll that’s stale. Will never come back for a banh mi again. The one in Midtown is much better.

Really was hoping for better food… Bun was cold and not fresh or hot at all. Service is not good either… only thing good was location. Could be much better if more effort on fresh and hot was a goal.

Ummm… Overpriced. That’s all I can really say. I ordered 2 banh mi’s with pork and pâté, with extra veggies and paid $ 12.50. If you’re Vietnamese and you’re used to getting banh mi’s down bellaire, on freshly baked bread(no less), you’ll understand my gripe. Apparently the price starts at $ 3.25 for ONE meat. I’ve paid $ 6.50 for a banh mi before, but it’s served with smoked brisket and an egg. BIG difference. Anyway, lesson learned. I won’t be coming back here.

Cheap cheap cheap Vietnamese sandwiches. Super tasty! The phở is always good too. Great place to bring a big group. I always go for the Vietnamese coffee too. It works better than average coffee and tastier! But no baby changer. That’s why it only got 4 stars.

I can’t say the name but I’ll still eat the food. Tried going one night but the rain stopped us so try # 2. It was my first time, so there is a counter where you order. I got the phở(allergy ridden) and we ordered some spring rolls There is a counter behind where there are all kinds of goodies– utensils, hot sauce, soda machine etc… The food came promptly. The phở soup was ok. There wasn’t a lot of noodles or meat. My friend had the vermicelli bowl and said it was delish. I couldn’t eat the spring roll so he had to eat both lol. Will def hit this spot again but will try something different. Not everyone can do phở(the way I like it). The staff was super friendly and oh there is a bar!!! And they are not related to the other location anymore…(Family drama)

I went to Les Givral’s Kahve around 10:00 p.m. on a Thursday night. I never knew a Vietnamese bánh mì and phở restaurant/bar was located here before. It’s on the corner of a larger building(opposite side of the new Miyako location on Washington) and hard to miss as the sign isn’t lit-up very brightly in the night. What attracted me here was the late times it stays open(Midnight from Monday-Thursday and Saturday, 3:00 a.m. on Fridays, and 10:00 p.m. on Sundays). There’s also a private parking garage behind the restaurant which is free to park. When we walked in, I noticed how empty it was on the restaurant side. However, there were a few people sitting at the bar. We walked past the bar and tried to order food to-go at the register, but it was empty and there was a sign stating to order at the bar. I ordered the Chargrill Chicken Vermicelli(Bun Ga Nuong) for $ 7.95, and my girlfriend ordered the Tofu Vermicelli(Bun Dau Hu) for $ 8.25. It was seriously done in 2-minutes packed up and ready to go. I didn’t know if that was a good or a bad thing! We paid and left. The food was not as fresh as I expected it to be. Some parts of the vermicelli were completely hardened and crunchy which I’ve never experienced in my life. I literally had to pick out pieces of hardened noodle from my mouth. Also, parts of the chicken were completely burnt. My girlfriend said her meal was a «very sad-looking tofu,» as it was chewy and not fresh as well. I wish I could rate this place higher, as it’s close to where I live and opens late, but the food quality is not cutting it for me. I was looking for a variety of food in the area for late-night-eats, but I would avoid this place if looking for quality food at a good price. Miyako, the sushi joint, beside this place has a lot better choices. Pros: –Opens late –Private parking garage –Artsy interior design –Inexpensive food Cons: –Food quality(not fresh)

I’ve been to the other Les Givral’s location in Midtown and it’s SOOOO much better. This location has convenient parking and that’s about it. Pros — easy parking — modern interior design — self serve station(utensils and sauces)…although it makes the tables seem a bit bare — extended hours(open till midnight) Cons — the table was dirty where we sat — food portions are very small. not worth the price — seats were hard and uncomfortable(it’s more of a place to just eat and get out) — I ordered the chargrill chicken rice plate and the veggies were definitely NOT fresh. It seemed like they had it out for hours already and just put the rice and meat on the plate to serve. — Phở bowl was small with barely any noodles(which is soooo not phở!) — veggie plate that came with the bowl of phở was minimal and veggies weren’t fresh

So we ordered banh mi and phở. The bread was gross and kind of stale. It was not toasted well. The meat and veggies did not even fill the bread from end to end. They are really stingy. I had to add so much sriracha for my banh mi to taste good, since I mostly was tasting the nasty bread. They also wouldn’t even give us a lemon slice for our water. The phở… $ 7+ for the equivalent to a kid’s portion anywhere else you go for phở. Didn’t even taste great. Aside from the overpriced mediocre, tiny-portioned food, the chairs are sooo dirty. Some mismatched white and silver chairs. The plastic white chairs looked like they had been in some old warehouse for years. The décor was nice until I saw the chairs. I felt like I didn’t want to touch them. I will not come back.
