FINALLY! A reasonable and professional salon in Rice Village sans the snobbery.
I went in after seeing an ad in the paper and they HOOKED ME UP! They use top quality products and don’t try and oversell you. They really made me feel at home. Not to mention, they really know what they are doing. Highly recommend!!!

It’s located next to Baskin Robins near Urban Outfitters in Rice Village and a bit difficult to find, it’s sort of a hidden treasure. Easy to overlook but when you go inside it’s very clean, neat and beautiful to look at. It’s very affordable which is surprising because of it’s location.
I got a haircut and thermal press from Ruthie. She did amazing, I have very curly hair and always end up with a terrible hair experience but this one was very different. The hair products smell amazing and everyone is so warm and friendly. My hair has honestly never looked so healthy.
I’m going back for a new color and couldn’t be any more excited!

Kind of confusing since this is Village La Salon, but from what I understand they just changed management and is in the process of re-​branding themselves to Long Strands LLC. Either way, they know how to give a good haircut and that’s all that really matters to me.
I got a haircut from Christopher and was super pleased with the results. I told him roughly what I was looking for and let him take over the rest. He ended up chopping off a lot of weight from the natural thickness of my hair while still keeping some length. Loved how he took the time to help me decide a cut that would look good for my face structure and styled it at the end.
They are located next to J. Hampton’s (or if you’re anything like me and only know where Baskin-​Robbins is, they’re 2 stores down from there) and have 3 reserved parking spaces up front which is a complete lifesaver when you try going into the area on a Saturday afternoon. Not a bad price too considering that it’s smack dab in the heart of Rice Village. $ 60 for a standard cut + $ 20 off for new clients. I think I’ve found my go-​to guy!
