Snow crab legs $ 14.99/lb, boiled crawfish $ 6.99/lb, garlic butters $ 0.50/ea. Worth the long lines and chaotic atmosphere.

Shrimp are delicious but the service is slow. I called my order in but when I arrived my order still was not ready.

I give 2 stars just based on the quality and taste of the food. The fried fish, loud pack, and boiled shrimp are awesome but the customer service is horrible. I am very familiar with good restaurants and I will not accept poor customer service for the sake of driving a mile or two less. Whenever I try to call and place an order via phone, there is always some excuse as to why they can’t take my order leaving me jo other choice but to come in if I want that item. Once I make it to the reaturant, which is only 5 minutes from house, I am greeted by the expected wait time in line of an average of 15 minutes. Then when I get to the counter to place my order, there is yet another excuse as to why they can’t take my order. Due to the time investment, I’m pissed but I go ahead and order something else and decide that I will give them one more chance to win my loyalty. Well, I’ve gone around this mountain at least 10 times and FINALLY-I’M done and here’s my official review. If customer service matters to you, keep driving down to Capitan’s on Veteran’s and Rankin! If you’re okay with being treated any kind of way and talked to any kind of way just to get some good food that-mind you– you are paying your money for, then ce right on over; they will gladly take your money! Good food alone won’t keep your doors open folks when all ya’ll people competing and opening up shop on every corner! THEYWINYOURCUSTOMERSBYLISTENINGTOTHEIRCOMPLAINTSANDREADINGREVIEWS!!!

Came during lunch rush. Guy at register was nice and told me about the exact wait time. The food came out quicker than i expected. I like their fried oyster, not their fries at all. Fried rice is descent. I will come back.

Be prepared for long lines, bring a book or something… it really and truly does speak volume about the taste of their food, I love the snow crabs and boiled shrimp. Depending on the day of the week that you go, you can expect a long wait, even with a call in order. On our last visit here, I was a tad bit disappointed, it took them almost an hour to cook some darn shrimp fried rice that was ordered with one of our meals. I mean did some one have to go and kill the shrimp, and grow the rice? A hour? If you can get pass being in a rush(that the staff is always in), due to the crowd, which doesn’t give you a lot of time for ordering, and all the other customers breathing down your back in frustration because your not a regular, you will have the option of enjoying some great food. Don’t forget to add seasoned corn on the cob, a sausage, and a potato to those shrimps and snow crabs. Delicious!

So I went here a while ago maybe 2 or 3 weeks ago on a Saturday and forgot to leave a review… The first thing i noticed when i pulled in the parking lot, was how packed this place was. Stood in line for about 5 to 10 minutes which wasn’t bad but the wait to get my food was too long about 30 or 40 minutes and it was no place to sit. But the food was good! I ordered the spicy boil shrimp and my bf ordered fried fish and shrimp… Overall it was pretty good but I’ll definitely order ahead next time…

The food here is pretty OK but the customer service and organization need some work! We recently visited and when we ordered a fried rice, we were told it’d take 45 minutes to get anything with rice. This made us change our order but guess what!!! We ended up waiting OVER45 minutes and several people got their orders of rice before we got our boiled shrimp. It was soooo frustrating. I would suggest calling ahead but I’m not sure that would help since the phone was busy both times I tried calling. An employee was sitting down on the phone during a super busy time during a wait and that was also a reason why I left the restaurant pretty irritated. Would I visit again? Perhaps… Because I do LOVE seafood!

Initially it was an awesome place, but now… The shrimp is awesome. The fish is terrific. But waiting on food for 45 minutes is never an option. There was a hole in the window close to the entrance, where a trash can was ever so placed in front of it. I don’t like RATS… and this is an easy mode of entrance. We will come in at lunch. We attempt to call in the order. We can all get there at the same time. Order. But someone in the group will have a twenty minute wait after everyone else in our party gets served. There is a strip club in the parking lot. I have been behind a woman that has paid with dollar bills, collected in a trash bag, for her food. GROSS. I am all about the family restaurant. Love to support businesses in my community. But we have to stay clean and establish a business plan that will continue to make patrons come.

One thing that stands out here is their crack sauce! It’s mainly butter and garlic with some other seasoning in it. The food is good and I can’t complain about anything here. Definitely come in early or allow some time on your schedule because the lunch crowd was getting crazy. A whole train will walk in at once and there are many people that order to go. I chose to get the seafood combination platter 2 fish + 3 shrimps + 3 oysters. I will recommend you to get it with fried rice instead of fries. I don’t really eat fries that’s why. Get the crack sauce because they don’t come with your food items. It’s 50 cents each for a little container to dip or pour over your food if you choose to. I’ll definitely come back when I’m feeling hungry for fried foods and that crack sauce! Next time I’ll double up on oysters.

One time for dat Nawf! «The North» for the grammatically correct folks… I’d been hearing about Lotus for over a year now and I’m glad my time finally came to try them out! I originally had the Braeswood location bookmarked but I just so happened to be in the area for a minor vehicle repair at the dealer and I thought it was a prime opportunity to pay a visit. Torn between a 3 and 4 star rating, I’d say this Lotus gets a 3.5. I LOVE the food, my order was ONPOINT, and the«crack sauce» alone could get 5 stars, but having a 35 – 40 minute wait for food when you’ve only been open about 10 minutes is unacceptable. I guess they needed to go fishing and crabbing first. **shrugs** Anyway, back to this food. Portion size is HEAVY and the food is full of flavor. I’m sure it’s consistent with all the other locations and to be honest, the food is so good that I ended up making another drive back(to the Braeswood location which is closer to me) the same day after my kids got out from school. I seriously think they do sprinkle something in that«crack sauce» because my daughter sampled some of my leftover shrimp fried rice and became a straight fiend. Heck, I’m twitching and rocking back and forth now thinking about it. Things to mention: Location is not the best(a little hood) Expect a long line Long wait for orders Overall, this is a good solid place for some good food but if time is of an essence, you will need to avoid them until you have time to spare.

After all the hype I decided to try it. I got a loud pack. It was ok to me, not as great as everyone made it seem. The shrimp wasn’t deveined and that’s an issue for me but I can’t give 2.5 stars. If someone else was going I’d be willing to try something else but I don’t think I’ll just return on my own.

Went on a Saturday night. Ordered fried fish, fried shrimp, boiled shrimp, and shrimp fried rice. The seafood was great!!! The rice was not anything special. It lacked in flavor. I will be back but only for boiled seafood.

If you come here, only order seafood dishes. The wings suck. They’re tiny and overcooked to the point that chewing on the hard meat will break a tooth. It’s a workout trying to eat them. ***found out they also serve whole wings, these are not the same as the flavored wings I ordered the first time. The whole wings are awesome! Big, juicy, with a crispy crust*** Seafood is on point though, especially the delicious garlic/butter sauce! Be cautious when ordering spicy because it really is spicy, not the«spicy» shit you get in American restaurants.

LOUDPACK!!! Very good food, clean atmposphere, and was packed! My cousin and I went to Lotus Seafood for lunch to see what the hype was all about and of course the reviews were spot on. I got the loud pack which consisted of stir fried rice, shrimp and butter sauce. It was awesome, just enough heat to hit ya right in the back of your throat. My cousin got shrimp with potatoes and corn, very good. We split a 2pc fish plate with fries and we weren’t impressed. Fish was bland, fries bland needed way more seasoning… other than the fish everything was perfect. Will visit again

So my wife has been to Houston several times this year, before I made 1 trip to Houston with her in May. She’s gone down here just to eat at this spot. I don’t know why I was expecting a larger place. It literally is a hole in the wall… don’t get it twisted because those spots have the best food. So we were down here for fight weekend and for the crawfish festival in Spring. The ladies went shopping and sent us on the food run. So we pulled into a packed parking«hood» lot a little after 6pm… got lucky and got a good parking spot. We had to hit the liquor store, which was conveniently across the street from here. So we went in and ordered our food and then went to the liquor store, because it was going to be a wait on the food. We were gone about 10 minutes and still had to come back and wait. It wasn’t too bad. there were seats inside, so we copped a squat and waited it out. About 20 minutes later… we got our food and hauled it back to the hotel to meet up with the ladies. Mane, they weren’t there when we got there… so we tore into the food. I ordered fish and my wife had the Louisiana Fried rice w/shrimp and sausage and the garlic butter. Unilocal… HELPME! I just knew I was gonna be sick… I ate like it was going out of style! Ish got real then LOL. So much flavor and greatness in a styrofoam container… MYGAWDTODAY!!! Hell… I’ll drive back to Houston just for this meal… SERIOUSLY it was that good and worth the wait. Oh, if ya need a cd while you’re waiting… there’s a cd man outdoors selling them out his car LOL

I’ll rate Lotus a 3.5 star… the staff was really friendly but considering this seems to be the only place in this area with a pretty cool eatery, it was packed. I was warned so I’m warning everyone. I ordered a small shrimp fried rice with 13 boiled medium spicy shrimp.. if you’re not use to spicy. roll with the mild. I think my mouth is still on fire… lol I also ordered the house butter sauce which everyone said i had to try. i liked it, just a little to salty The portion size i had was enough to feed 2 ppl. but i live in a greedyland of my own so i never share my shrimp I think i will order the fried lobster tail with the lobster fried rice next time. But for the most part… it wasnt bad and I’ll try them again

Lotus is known for its fresh seafood. I ordered 25 spicy broil shrimp 2 corns and 1 potato. I received the shrimp 1 corn and 2 potatoes even after I corrected the man at the counter. They are always busy. I called my order in so my wait time would be that bad. Parking was horrible so I had to park wherever I could to run in and pick up my food. My shrimp was fresh, seasoned just right, and taste really good. Corn was juicy and seasoned well. Potato was good as well not over cooked either. Pros– Great food Good prices Special sauce Cons– Parking Wait time Check your order before you leave if ordering Togo They will not take any crab or crawfish orders over the phone.
