One of the coolest and chill bar in downtown! Pros — The parking is in the back — Tons of tv and big project for watching games — Awesome music — There are table games — Big patio Cons — The waitress was bad because she lied us about the special and over charged the beer. She was friendly but not attentive. It was not even busy.

Great food and beer selection, but putting an out of town NBA game on the big screen over the ncaa soccer semifinals sucks. Dynamo need to rethink this as the official bar. As far as I can tell, the bartender and one couple are only ones interested in the NBA game.

This is a fantastic spot to watch a game — probably the biggest ‘big screen’ that i have ever seen in a bar. We had the ‘All In’ pizza — it was fantastic. A 12″ pizza easily will feed about 3 – 4 people! Also had the Philly Cheese Steak with sweet potato fries, which was also good. The buffalo bites for an appetizer were delish. This was our first visit, but we will definitely be back to watch the games here. FANTASTICSPOT with great service and food.

Only can get good service if you’re a regular. Don’t bother asking for a certain game if they don’t know you. Manager waits on & drinks with his friends.

Great drinks and a great place to have a private vent with a DJ. I’m enjoying my time with my friends and the food provided.

Lucky’s service as far as the waitress getting to the table and placing a order has never been the best but the food was always good and always out weighed that aspect of the service. But the last time I went the server by the name of Tay was by far the worst waitress I’ve ever encountered in awhile. If your gonna have a attitude stay your ass in the kitchen or find a new job, oh yea for some reason that day the food was awful, the first time that’s ever happened. I hope things turn around from here.

One of my favorite bars. It doesn’t look like much, and admittedly, the the furnishings and restrooms could be more polished, but these are trivial details. What Lucky’s does have is a huge selection of beer, including local brews, great staff(never had to wait around too long before a bartender/waitress asks me if they can help), and a decent bar menu. On top of all this, it’s a fantastic place to watch any Houston team in their big screens OR for US Soccer games, they’ll bring in a giant screen and you can watch outside(watch the beer shower celebrations if you’re not in the mood for one). As for the bar menu, I recommend the pizza. Perfectly crispy and hot every time. When we need some vegetables in our diet, we’ll order edamame, because it’s good to mindlessly eat while watching the game. Overall, a solid bar with solid service and a great product.

I’m sitting here right now at Lucky’s eating as I write this review! To say the least the complaint couldn’t wait. I’ve been coming to Lucky’s for years, it has been my go to place since my time in undergrad at UH. Well sad to say it’s went down hill. The waiter was so rude. She has the I hate my job type of personality. Didn’t even offer to clean the filthy table we sat at, she took our food order and walked away. We had to ask another waiter to do it. Customer service is key. She got our order wrong though I’m not blaming her she’s not the cook. But she had an attitude when we politely asked her to fix it. She then had the audacity to correct the customer and say I didn’t specify. 1st rule in service,(the customer is always right) and even if they aren’t don’t question them(just politely fix the order)! Won’t be coming here ever again. The food was mediocre! This was the best bar in town to get wings and pizza, today it tasted like something thrown together without effort. I would have did better not coming and staying home and eating some fruit. Sad. But all it takes is one mess up for people to never come back again. I enjoyed my times at Lucky’s but now I must move on!

We weren’t here for too long, but the music was great, and the beer selection was extensive. There were lots of tvs, so this is a great place to watch football.

Good place for drinks and food before any event downtown. Sometimes it’s a little rough in there tho.

It’s located right next to the BBVA stadium & parking can get a little insane. Loads of seats to be had & they have a nice & spacious patio outdoors that allows you to bring your pet. It didn’t feel like a pub to me though, more like a sports bar or place you have a quick bite before or after you catch a game because it’s nearby. No one is going to remember your name here. They have an extensive beer list, I raise my hat to any establishment that has Lindemans Lambic Framboise! I did not order any food because I was headed elsewhere afterwards but it seemed ok. They don’t have enough staff to accomodate large amounts of people, the waitress was scrambling the whole 1.5 hours I was here. You know you’re not going to get the best service when there’s a concert or a game going on. However, she was friendly but it still took me 45 minutes to get my bill after I asked for it 3 times.

I had to knock Lucky’s down a star because of the service. I came by a few times after my initial review and a few shady things happened that definitely ruined my experience. Strike 1: I came on a Friday evening with my girlfriend and her mom to have a few drinks. I wasn’t aware of the drink specials, but I noticed a lot of people drinking extra large Dos Equis. When we inquired about it to the waitress, she said they were out… yet I saw other servers bringing them out. After we brought it to her attention she magically found some. She was a sweet girl, but that was just odd. Strike 2: I ordered a burger one evening to-go and paid with cash. I normally don’t expect coin change back, but not only did the bartender keep my change, he took 2 bucks as well. He’s a really friendly guy, but I couldn’t help but be bothered by that when the exact change amount was on the receipt. It wasn’t a busy afternoon at all, so there’s no real excuse for the error. To make matters worse, the burger wasn’t great and the fries were salty. I don’t particularly have a strike 3. I came back once more to have a drink with a friend and had a decent time. However, I will admit I prefer Little Woodrow’s across the street. Lucky’s is still a cool bar, but those two instances rubbed me the wrong way.

Went there last night for a date auction to raise money for Alzheimer’s awareness. 1. They supported the cause which is amazing and awesome in itself. 2. The staff was really nice and friendly 3. Great prices, very reasonable 4. The margaritas are the perfect blend! 5. The Philly cheesesteak and fries were sooo delicious! I got the half portion for $ 5.95 and it was plenty of food! Will definitely return.

Oh man. Philly cheesesteak egg rolls. That’s really all I have to say. Get them with the nachos sauce to dip them in. Oh My God!!!

This place is convenient for me because of location. It does seem like a total college bar, and it has your occasional older crowd that gets in there. I like the fact they have the 8th wonder alternate universe here and Woodrow’s across the street does not. It’s my new favorite. This time when I came it was 30 $ all you can eat crawfish. The crawfish was good, it could have used more spice and corn needed to be more fresh, but I wasn’t going to complain being as across the street the crawfish is 8.99 $ a pound, and Woodrow’s only had it on Saturdays… This was a Sunday when my craving kicked in. Over all our waitress took care of us and we were pleased. The back deck is the place to go sit and relax especially if it’s a nice day out or a game day! Also the ladies room is huge! And clean. Something I appreciate. I definitely will be back here for drinks with friends and for a crawfish craving.

Obviously we ended up going back. Lol. Good happy hour prices. Over the years things have definitely gotten better. They have a steady crew that works regularly now and the managers are great and stay on top of things. Just need one or two extra waitresses on shift when it gets busy.

Not a huge fan of this place because of the location. I remember coming here a few times during soccer or baseball game and the parking is ridiculous. I understand that it’s not the bar’s fault that parking is crappy but it does make you think twice before coming here. The inside is pretty huge with two big rooms that are separated. It’s not as nice as some of the other bars in downtown but I guess that’s part of its charm. I’d really like to see this place renovated because they have a huge amount of space and I think they can do a lot better on the inside. I remember seeing that punching game in the corner were drunk guys hit the bag as hard as they can to show off how tough they are. I wonder what Jon Taffer would say about this? Last but not least watch out for homeless people asking for money.

Sports bar around the corner from the convention center. Pretty serious ventilation so if you’re a cold person, bring a jacket. Huge projection screen tv and an arcade(including foosball) Nachos are ridiculous Fish tacos are pretty salty and cabbage isn’t great Philly egg rolls are pretty awesome with the horseradish sauce Dumplings aren’t anything special, but the chili sauce that comes with it is tasty

One of the things I miss about our loft is Lucky’s. It is such a cool place with a great vibe, atmosphere and crowd. Sara, one of the bartenders, is fantastic. She always hooks me up with yummy libations knowing exactly what kinds of drinks I like; she has never disappointed me. They have really great food here: Cheesesteak Egg Rolls — creamy delicious goodness, TODIEFOR Pot Stickers — flash fried adding a perfect crispiness paired perfectly with a sweet chili garlic dipping sauce Boneless Buffalo Bites — tender chunks of spicy goodness Lucky Burger — a behemoth of deliciousness! Bad Ass Chicken Pizza — try this — prosciutto, chicken, spinach, tomatoes & garlic — LOVE the crust Nachos — killer good full of white queso(YUM), and your choice of meat: fajita, chicken or carnitas, pico de gallo sour cream Their events are grandiose as well, LOVE their St. Patrick’s Day celebration with 94.5 the Buzz. If you haven’t been out here, you really should.
