I LOVE wings and this place makes the best! I definitely will be back to try other items on the menu. This was my first visit and was impressed with the place and the service. Most will charge extra for celery and carrots along with the dip but every thing was included!

Ordered the Angus Double with bacon and cheese, the size did not disappoint and shouldn’t have for $ 18. The burger was hot and fresh but lacked a bold flavor — the bun should be replaced also. Good burger joint, nothing spectactular — stay in burger range — other food is sub par!

This place is the devil! I eat and want to crash! Huge burgers and overstuffed BLTs. I highly recommend. I wish they were open for dinner. They close at 3p.

I really wanted to like this place after reading the reviews it is a cute little family owned lunch spot. Unfortunately I just was very disappointed with the food I ordered the catfish and shrimp lunch special to go I think it was like $ 10. It came with 1 very very thin piece of fish, 5 shrimp, fries and a roll. The fish and shrimp were very disappointing as the fish was paper thin and the shrimp had to be frozen Mrs Paul’s. I may give this place another try but think I’ll stick to the burgers since that is what they seem to be known for.

Good burgers! I went here today with my boyfriend for the first time, today on my lunch break. It’s definitely an older place that could use some fixing up, but you can tell that it must be good by the jam packed parking lot. I had the guacamole, bacon cheeseburger. My boyfriend had the buffalo burger. We were both very satisfied and will go back when in the area.

Since I craved for good burger a while back, this place had caught my attention with the big burger shaped sign upfront. Ordered the pepper jack burger with bacon, it was just OK, nothing special. The price included an order of fries or potato salad, so use it or lose it.

I’ve come here 2 or 3 times at the request of a coworker. I’ve had the patty melt once… It was decently filling although I believe there were delayed effects from all the butter, fat and white bread. On my 3rd visit a week or so ago I had to let my coworker know I just don’t care for this place. Grilled chicken sandwich was this very thin cutlet cut into a square to fit the bun(think thin grilled Filet-O-Fish). And the fries were bleh. And also if you’re sitting in the back area waiting for your number to be called, you can’t hear squat. It’s like they’re speaking through a mic that is underwater. This place is not for quality… it’s more for food of convenience that’s not necessarily fast food.

Simple. Decent burgers. Easy access if you work in the area. LIke the other reviews say, it’s not going to win any awards but for a quick filling lunch it hits the spot.

I wound up stopping here on a Saturday after the place I planned to stop at for lunch was unexpectedly closed. The hamburger on the pole caught my eye, so I stopped in for a burger. I got the angus burger basket with fries and a drink for less than $ 10. Overall, I thought it was good. The patty on the burger wasn’t very thick, but it completely fit the bun, which I like. The lettuce was plain iceberg, nothing fancy. The fries, as others have noted, were the thick, crinkle-cut variety, but came out hot, crispy and good. Lunch at Sam’s isn’t going to top any best-burger list, but the food was freshly prepared, hot and good.

Not all hole-in-the-wall joints are good. Sams isn’t «bad…» but it simply«filled my gullet.» I had the«angus burger» with fries(these have a remarkable resemblance to the frozen crinkle-cut fries served in school cafeterias around the country). The bun was blackened at two spots(ostensibly left on the griddle to heat/harden it) and the rest of the burger was fairly flavorless. Fries and the burger cost around $ 9. The prices aren’t bad… but I’d rather spend that money elsewhere. After ordering from the counter at the front, you walk back to find a surprisingly spacious, very clean, simple«country-style» dining area. They also have a large patio. Burger«fixins» are at a little«bar» near the ordering area — which you pass as you retrieve your food from the counter(they call-out your number). Really, it’s a 2.5 star place. I’m just spoiled by having access to much better burgers. On the upshot, it’s not pretentious, there’s not a line, and the food isn’t terrible. Save your money and get the regular/non-Angus burger.

We passed this place going to Burger Tex a few times, and was intrigued by the giant hamburger on a pole in front of this place. It’s an old house(two, actually, jammed together) that has been converted into a lunch spot. You walk in, order at the counter, and they call your number when your order is ready. They have a toppings bar off to the side so you can dress your burgers. The burgers are angus patties, and they are heavy and dense. The fries are typical crinkle-cut fries, nothing special. The burgers are pretty decent, and you do not feel hungry at all after you eat one. However, don’t get the wrong idea, there is nothing truely outstanding about the burger. I’ve had much better(but I’ve also had MUCH worse). On other visits, I tried the chicken fried steak(tasted like a deep fried frozen patty, looked like it, too), nothing-too-special cream gravy, and canned green beans. Definately ranks pretty far down the list on CFS’s I’ve had. And I hate places that serve canned veggies. If I wanted to eat canned veggies, I can open a can at home if I want. The charm of this place is how you’re eating in an old house, I guess. They have a meatloaf that my co-worker swears is pretty tasty, but I fear meatloaf.
