I’ve known Sean and Carole for a while now, before they opened this space. I’m glad I finally made it, for a craft my 3-​year old could do (heavily assisted by momma). Carole demo’ed the whole thing, and was ready to assist at any time. She also had a bunch of materials where we could go hog-​wild on the clay craft. She was prompt with correspondence on when to pick up, etc. And the space itself and bathroom is clean and not hard to find– a touch eclectic and still clean and efficient, very much like Carole! I hope this is the first of many outings here. We plan on coming back, maybe even making it an annual tradition! Thank you, McCheeks!

Had a fun and relaxing time at a clay and Cabernet night here. Can’t wait to go back someday. Carole is a wonderful teacher even for the mostly artistically impaired types. I realized I’m not so good with the clay. I could’ve made a few items with the one sheet of clay she gave us but alas I didn’t think out of the box. Carole was great at helping me make my herb pot. A very neat place and fun night out for a group.

Went to McCheeks for Clay and Cabernet and really enjoyed it. Here is why:
1. A very cute, grumpy, talkative, one-​eyed kitty.
2. Drinking with friends!
3. A laid-​back comfortable environment.
4. Carole’s tips on how to make all sorts of things.
5. Lots of supplies to get creative with.
6. The freedom to make whatever I wanted.
7. Help when I needed it.
8. A really cool result even though I do not consider myself good at this sort of thing.
9. It was affordable.
I haven’t picked up my finished pieces yet, but I think they are going to turn out great! Carole fires/​glazes them and you pick them up later. I recommend the workshop. You can even shop while you are there. Carole had so really cool stuff to buy. Bring a few friends. You will have fun!
