New to Houston, I decided to have my hair cut/​colored at the salon closest to my home in Montrose. I figured it was just as good a place as any to begin, and I’ve been attempting all my adult life to find a colorist I like. Sammy, upon arrival, made me feel at home and got to work on my wiry grays. My chief concern was to find a blend of color that diminishes it’s distinction against my roots as time passes. Here I am, almost a month later, when I’d usually start looking for a new colorist/​salon, and there is no visible variance against the growing roots. I feel compelled to schedule my next appointment asap, but don’t know how long it will take to need one! It only took 25 years, but I found a hair home.
