Not your big box gym. I joined on a whim, not sure what to expect. I had memberships at Life Time Fitness, Fit, Athletic Club, and L.A. Fitness. The level of customer service at MAC is unmatched. Welcoming environment and you won’t find half-​naked beings playing around with gym equipment in an obvious peacock mating ritual.
I originally joined the MAC in Women’s center, but the main center is included in the membership. Childcare is provided. The group classes allow you to find your favorite activity nearly on the hour.
I tried Deby’s yoga class and it is amazing. She uses lavender aromatherapy. I love lavender.
Clean and sterile facility as you would want except.

Go to the club eight months and I’m happy. On weekdays during the day very few visitors. After six more. The weekend also quite freely. The pool is almost always free of the track. There is a sauna. Many exercise equipment, several treadmills. Good and a variety of group exercise. Perfect cleanliness. Friendly staff.

I love this gym! It’s very different than your typical LA Fitness or other chain of gyms. It’s well established in the community, the trainers are knowledgeable and well trained. They offer many different classes to appeal to everyone. I have been a member for many many years and will continue to be one for many years to come.

This gym is really nice. I love having a pool and a hot tub. With the exception of a climbing wall I really feel as though they have everything at MAC.

Great club to workout, the swim programs and master swim are the best. Their trainers are friendly and not just a bunch of meatheads.
This club is not «beautiful people» place where everyone hooks up it is a real work out club.

Really really impressed by this place.
We came here to possibly join as well as enroll my daughter in swim lessons. Immediately we were greeted and took a tour.
The pools are huge and heated as well as they have so many classes for your toddlers to senior citizens.
Importantly they have Zumba, racketball, swimming and child care. I am in and we signed up that day. I would have given them 5 stars if they stayed open later, but at the end of the day its clean, safe, and has everything you need.

We ended up moving into Katy. Although it is really nice here, just miss a family gym like MAC. I would’ve kept my membership there, but it is a real drive now :(

I love this gym because it suits all of us. I exercise but don’t consider myself an athlete, yet I feel comfortable here. My daughter works out a lot and the gym has everything she needs. I also like the Womens center for pilates and yoga classes in particular. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is professional but and down-​to-​earth.

Great gym! I like the Zumba classes and other options for strength-​training. The cardio equip is always clean and working properly. The lockeroom is nice, there’s always clean towels and plenty of staff. It’s great to be a part of a gym with so many country-​club characteristics. Ooh! It’s also kept very cool which makes a hard-​core sweat fest so much easier (and desirable). The parking is packed so your workout begins as you leave the car. The layout is fun and different and a variety of people workout there. I don’t feel intimidated or like its a skin show. No long term membership, it’s month to month. It’s $ 70 something for me and my hubs.

Love this neighborhood gym. My husband and I have worked out at Lifetime and LA Fitness and we were tired of the big box gym feel (and tired of paying crazy high prices at Lifetime!) So, we joined the MAC. It has a great neighborhood feel which we love. The classes are AWESOME and childcare is included in your membership! Plus they offer swimming lessons for kids and all sorts of summer activities. Great place to workout with teachers and trainers who are all committed to fitness and your succeess.

I used to work at this facility and was a member before I worked at MAC… Great facility with awesome staff. They change things up from swimming lessons, to group ex classes to new equipment. This is, hands down, my favorite gym EVER! The crowd is friendly and you feel safe going to workout at any time! =)

This club has it all. KidsZone that the kids will beg you to take them to. TriMAC– for those athletes that want to compete in triathlons. Great group classes for all ages. Kids ballet, hip hop and jazz classes. Bootcamps and also programs to help your children become excellent athletes too. I almost forgot to mention the pool. They have 2 huge pools, one inside and one outside. They have lanes so you can swim laps too.

This review is for the swimming lessons.
I’m a terrible swimmer, so I signed up for a novice class at 8pm. It’s perfect! The swimming pool is kept at 88 degrees in winter, perfect for people that get cold easily. The instructor is an old lady that really knows her stuff, very patient and empathetic but with really good techniques. And the class ratio is 2 to 1, pretty amazing.
The rest of the gym is very old school, think wood paneling everywhere and lots of senior citizens, definitely a little depressing. Service is impeccable though, and there’s plenty of lotion /​hair spray /​hair drying spots, so it depends on what you are looking for in a gym.
Oh and I’m trying this gym out with their one month free membership in the mail, definitely a good thing.

Awesome place to work out, more like a country club than a gym. Great staff and classes to keep you on track for all your fitness goals. Pools, day care, athletic training (Parisi Speed School), triathalon training, spin classes, Pilates, Yoga, Personal Training, Group Exercise, Hot tub, Sauna, racquetball, basketball… What do you want to train for its all here…

I really like their outdoor pool! It’s always clean!!! It does get crowded on occasion but people are usually pretty nice about sharing their lane. They just updated some equipment. Love this place… the MAC and the YMCA are my favorite places to work out. No pressure and little to no muscle heads. :-)
