Great atmosphere. Food prices are very reasonable. Service not so great. Waited forever to get another round of drink. Great place to watch the UFC and other sporting events.

I go for 4 stars because I don’t really love where it’s located. Kind of on the outskirts of the hustle and bustle. but sometimes you may be looking for that! It’s a two story bar, but I’ve only ever hung out upstairs. When I come here I camp out for hours. Good food, good drinks and very sweet bartenders.

Come here for all fights last 4 years … Sad — know the manager — get 15 – 20 drinks… Every time — today they are watered down quarter shots — bartenders don’t give a damn — rather be somewhere else — don’t think manager wants to be here either — won’t come back anymore — really loved and promoted this place but it’s a bar … Crap drinks when spending 200+ dollar regularly for a lot of soda. Can’t do it. Disappointed.

I’ve been coming here for many years and it’s okay. You can’t beat a place that has no cover, plenty of Tvs, and drink specials, right? It’s a cool place to watch sporting events and even do karaōke on some nights. The service is inconsistent –I’ve had more bad days than good.

If you don’t drink beer or play poker, then Monday nights may not be the best nights for you. The bartender who was working seemed like a straight ‘pour from tap’ kind of guy instead of someone who mixes drinks. I made the mistake of trying to order martinis(yes, at a sports bar). The first one was the gummy bear, which tasted like Hawaiian Punch with a splash of vodka. I’ve never had a gummy bear martini that was red, either. The second was the caramel apple martini, which tasted like anything but. When I saw that the recipe listed on the menu included sour mix, I instantly knew why. Yuck. You’ve been warned. The hot wings were good, though. I always request extra sauce on the side. They keep their buffalo sauce refrigerated. I didn’t mind this time.

Came here for a group gathering during happy hour. The fried pickles were just okay… service was a little slow initially but got better. All the staff were friendly as mentioned by previous reviewers. Restrooms were clean too.

Okay so I love in California and every time I come to Houston I ha email to see my boy Vick. Vick makes the best drinks I have ever tasted in my life. Vick puts the right flavors together and he knows his stuff. I would travel the world to see this guy. He is the best of the best

This place is like a modern day«Cheers». Everyone’s super friendly all the time and there is definitely a reason you see the same faces on a regular basis. The owners Tommy and Tonya are always there and enjoy hanging out with all the patrons which is cool. Plus the bartenders /waitresses are usually on top of their stuff making sure drinks are never empty. The chill atmosphere along with the fact that they actually serve up some pretty good food is why the Mezz has been one of our long time weeknight hang out spots.

We went on a football Sunday(afternoon). Multiple TVs, in multiple rooms, so we were able to watch our team with both video and audio. We only ate appetizors, but they were good. Drinks were reasonable. We will likely be back in the future.

I’ve only been to Mezz to watch UFC fights so I don’t know what other nights are like. There’s a decent amount of parking, good space inside with an outside patio and large upstairs. Lots of TV’s, beanbags outside, darts, punching bag machine… Pretty good food options too. Make sure to get some Grasshoppers(stuffed jalapeño peppers) and spicy house made chips. Service is good, restrooms clean(and a TV in there too!).

Disclaimer: My company has me staying within walking distance of this place. Not sure if I would come out of my way if I wasn’t close by. There’s a million sports bars here in town. Automatic 3 stars for all the TVs and the list when you come in letting you know where the games are being played with sound on college game days. Two floors with something happening pretty much everywhere. Upstairs, mucho TVs, video games, little sitting rooms off to the corner. Kinda cool. Downstairs, sometimes people are playing poker, bocce ball off the patio. Mixed crowd of early 20s to senior citizens. Everytime I go it’s a different crowd The male bartenders tend to pay attention to your name and what you like to drink. I haven’t experienced same from the female bartenders but most are friendly if not as observant. They have a decent selection of beers. Some kind of drink special everyday. Watch your tab! If you don’t get the special of the day it can add up quick. I tend to pay cash so I can keep track and move around without worrying about a tab. Don’t get the mimosas on Sunday. 90% OJ. I’ve only eaten here once. Just some chicken tenders/fries. It was ok. It will do but for the price go eat then come here and watch the game. I would LOVE if this place sold breakfast/brunch type food during football season for the early games. I miss you Lion and Rose in San Antonio.

Lets get ready to RUMBLE!!! We went to Mezzanine Lounge for the legendary 4th fight between Manny Pacquiao VS Juan Marquez Mezzy did a great job with the TV set up. We were on the 2nd floor with about 30 flat screen TV’s of all sizes. There wasn’t a bad seat in the house. However, some TV’s did not have HD and the display was faded. The only major problem was the surround sound or lack there of. The sound was so low you couldn’t even hear the commentators and it was not because of the crowd. We were ALL trying to listen. The parking was another issue. Mezzy lot was unable to accommodate so ppl had to park in a local store lot. Eh.No. Sound amplifying equipment is a must at a sports bar. I wanted to hear that knockout. A sports bar with a «noise ordinance» no bueno. Get a permit.

Love me some mezzy! With never ending drink specials, decent bar food, superbly friendly bar staff, and really awesome daily and monthly events, the mezzanine has been my hangout for about 3 years now! Sadly, I no longer live in Houston.

Mezzanine Lounge. Some friends said they drink here, seemed like the place to check out. Oh, and they also showcase all the UFC fights which is sweet. So I’ve come to see a couple pay per view events here. It was decent, they have a projection screen out on the patio. Cool. I didn’t really appreciate the service or the interior of the building. I don’t feel comfortable or welcome whenever I visit. They have an interesting looking menu, but not much good can be said about the food either. You will pay top dollar for food that looks like it should be served at a gas station. The waitstaff here I can’t say much about because they didn’t help us out with anything. The last time I went, some dude eventually stopped by and awkwardly took our order, I think he might have been the bartender. Maybe if our waitress wasnt so busy walking around getting her ass slapped all night, perhaps we could have received some decent service around here. The end.

Went to the Mezz’s first all you can eat Crawfish boil this season and it was deeee-lish. Despite a sizeable crowd, the Mezz did not run out of crawfish until about 5pm(the event start at 2pm). The staff and the cooks were attentive and professional. Also ordered the fries and they were fantastic. Definitely will go back. For some reason, I always overlook Mezzanine Lounge. UFC fights, boxing matches and other big sporting events — they don’t charge a cover. They have daily specials, like Sunday crawfish, happy hour til 7, karaōke upstairs on Saturdays … parking is aight and you can even park at the nearby Academy on busier nights. And TVs: They’ve got a lot. And they’re all showing everything from basketball to weight lifting to poker(ahem, not a sport in my book!) But for some reason, it’s just«meh» to me. I think it’s because of the«blatantly there» bar smell. And the waitresses and bartenders, well, half of them don’t really care to even be there. And, their wine glasses aren’t a full serving. They’re those tiny glasses, which is fine if they charge you a cheaper price. I checked my receipt the next day and saw that each glass of La Crema pinot noir was $ 9.25! That’s not expensive — that’s a fair wine bar price — but for a half-serving at a sports bar? Total rip off. It’s not the fanciest sports bar in town, nor to they claim to be, so if all you require is a TV and a cold one, there’s absolutely nothing wrong about Mezzanine Lounge.

It’s not all that, and I LIKE sports bars. Atmosphere is dark, a little creepy, and the crowd is generally older. Only one TV is decent… or maybe I’ve become a TV snob. Either way, they had a lot of standard definition fairly small screens. The waitress came by often, and the food was edible(quesadillas and fries no worse than I make at home), but not worth it without that $ 10 g/c. Hooray for shiner 101 on tap… once I’ve finished my 2, time to get going.
