Michaels has won me over! After going to Hobby Lobby for years, I finally got fed up with their attitude and lack of merchandise. So I went to Michaels. Man, was I surprised. Not only did they have nondamaged frames, but the customer service was fantastic. I was asked by 2 different employees if they could help me find anything! Never, NEVER would that have happened at Hobby Lobby. Trying to find someone to help you at their store is, well, like looking for Bigfoot.

Love this Michaels but everytime I come here they never have what I need! Which makes me go to hobby lobby! But I like this location because they have good coupons and if you can’t find them the employees help with locating them! Overall such a helpful store and such a cute surrounding area!

I always come to Michaels to buy my crafting/scrapbooking materials. They have a huge assortment of choices and carry different brands that can’t be found anywhere else.

Dropped a picture off to be framed two weeks ago, and was told they were running ahead. I waited two weeks anyway for good measure. When I went to pick up at 10 am, it wasn’t ready because the woman working frames«hadn’t been able to get to it this morning» and told me it would be ready in the afternoon. I got a call at 3 pm it was ready. So…why did I have to leave the picture there for two weeks, if they were only going to start framing it the day it was due, and it only took them five hours?

Michaels is a fun place to shop. It can be a little pricey, but they have a great selection of craft items. They do have good sales, and their coupons definitely make it worth a visit! They also are great about honoring coupons saved on your phone.

Compared to the three stars I gave the Willowbrook location, Humble gets all five. Why? Customer service! I was in and out with one terribly nice person who was helping other people too above and beyond what she needed to. She was helpful to me as well when I was having trouble pulling my coupon because of the spotty 3G coverage. I’d go here above Hobby Lobby any day(not just Sunday, haha) and I found just what I needed for a price cheaper than Amazon. Can’t say that about a lot these days, but Michael’s and those coupons…

I went here one night looking for some tulle to make a tutu. I searched all over the store, and my husband finally asked an employee up front… Michael’s doesn’t carry FABRIC?! It’s a CRAFT store. The only fabric they carried was some felt. I was mystified. I would have gone to Hobby Lobby in the first place, but they were already closed. Michael’s is a good store, but it’s much smaller and more cramped than Hobby Lobby. Hobby Lobby has much better selection.

Michael’s greater than Hobby Lobby. This particular location is nice and clean. Of course it was jam packed with goods and tight aisles, but clean nonetheless. I spent most of my time in the framing section and found quite a few options for my project. We ended up getting 22-packs of frames that were 40% off. So total, for 411×14 frames was $ 24 or $ 6 each. Not bad at all. They always seem to have frames at a discounted price. I’m not sure of his name, but the dark haired guy in framing was very helpful in showing us where things are and doing price checks for us.
