Always good and consistent. I like to get the cheeseburger and frings(fries and onion rings) runs you about $ 10.

Your typical hamburger place. The food is decent and greasy but that’s pretty much why you come here! I don’t know if it’s worth $ 10 – 12 for a burger + fries but it’s not bad. They pack their to-go orders really well which saves you some time. If you’re hoping they will have«healthier» options, I’d look elsewhere.

Sometimes it’s difficult to find a good meal in the tunnels, and Miller’s Café sells lunch like it’s going out of business. They aren’t kidding when they say they are famous for their grilled onion burgers: they are some of the best burgers I’ve had in my 28 years of eating solid food. Their menus is extensive with around 15 different burgers and sandwiches along with the usual American sides as well as smaller options like chili. They have several locations around Houston, and I was pleasantly surprised to see them underground. This spot is as good as the others and makes a workday lunch a little better with well done grilled onions, large patties, and made-to-order burgers. Their onion rings and fries are usually crunchy and tasty. A colleague even raves about their chili having just enough spice to keep her going. This location is busy and fills up quickly for the lunch crowd, but they are fast and usually have food out within ten minutes. Finding seating is the tricky part.

Decent, reliable burger spot for lunch, in the tunnel downtown, beneath 1001 McKinney. Nothing spectacular here, but better than fast food options. Traditional patties seared on the flat top, fresh poppy seed buns. Bacon cheeseburger is a favorite, but comes it at $ 7.30, and fries are extra. Fries available are regular and sweet potato, just traditional frozen varieties. Personally, I go for the onion rings instead. Tip: call in your order and avoid a wait.

Had the bacon cheeseburger and it was outstanding. Fresh toppings and the bacon was hard to beat. Great service as well

A small grill in the tunnel. Burgers and sandwiches. Good food. I had the chicken fried steak sandwich. It was crisp and just the right size for lunch. Very delicious.,.I think I like this sandwich more than the Dairy Queen«dude». I also like the iced tea Millers offers. Nice hot sandwich menu. Good variety. Pork, chicken, turkey. The tunnel location has some seating, but I took my sandwich to go. I will have to return and try a burger or the rib eye steak sandwich.

Cool little joint in the tunnels. Walls are plastered with interesting pictures, which really adds to this joint’s character. This place has very little seating, and food comes out very slow. The food was ok. Beck’s prime’s ribeye steak steak burger tastes way better than Miller’s, though you pay ~50% more for it, so I suppose you still get what you pay for.

Damn good burger at a great price. Fries were decent, but not worth the $ 2.50 that they charge, which is why I knocked it down to 4 stars. Skip McD’s or other tunnel fast food and hit this place up…

Have eaten here twice, the hamburger was too big for lunch and had waaaay too much mustard for my liking. Very messy. The french fries were typical and tasty. I’ve also had the grilled chicken sandwich, it was good the chicken breast kind of small though. It was the only thing I ordered and I left feeling unsatisfied. Overall a little pricey for what you get but when you’re looking for something other than Whataburger or Beck’s Prime they fit the bill.

Good burgers with lots of topping choices. Try the chicken steak sandwich, its pretty good. This in the tunnels, but easy to find close to the escalator.

My coworker brought me here raving about how I had to try their turkey burger. I definitely wouldn’t have found this place by myself as I’m not prone to exploring the tunnels. When we arrived, I thought it looked a little dark and shady, but after eating the burger once I was hooked! Their turkey burger is definitely delicious and juicy. It has became a part of my occasional lunch staple. I definitely think of this place when I’m craving a burger for lunch during work. I’ve recommended this place to others and they love it as well. Give it a try if you’re looking a place to eat.

This dark and tiny underground café has some delicious burgers and onion rings. It seems slightly on the expensive side until you get your food. I’ve never regretted spending money here.

Great tunnel food. Burgers are juicy/greasy and taste amazing. I ate half of a cheeseburger and walked a two mile tunnel loop so that i wouldn’t feel so guilty. It took some hard core discipline to put the second half of the burger down. every burger lover should stop by when they can.

Another downtown tunnel staple for me and my tunnel rat friends. Millers has a funky rock n roll vibe with an underpinning of Texas barn chic. They offer a host of sandwiches, burgers, salads and the chicken finger basket. If it’s Texas fast food, Millers has it and it’s good. My faves are the CFS burger and the Gobbler. They’re really tasty. The Gobbler is really juicy and loaded with turkey goodness. It makes my mouth water just thinking of it. The fries are good and they have o-rings that are pretty darned good too. You can get a mixed order with your sandwich, in case you can’t decide. One nice plus for us downtown is that with our ethinically diverse lunch bunch we can even go to Millers because they have a few vegetarian friendly options. Nice. The one thing against Millers is the miniscule amount of seating in the place itself and the small amount of seating there in the hallway just outside. We have had to carry our food down the hall and around the corner to sit under the Waste Management building to sit in that area to eat. Really aggravating. Anyway, for food that is consistently good and if you don’t mind sometimes waiting for a table or carrying the food elsewhere, Millers is a good bet.

This is NOT a health food store! Which is why it is so delicious. Be prepared to spend another hour at the gym, on the bike or on the track and if you don’t believe me, just wait till you see earlier orders passing by with the grease soaking through the white butcher paper(your first clue that you’re in for an amazing meal). However, with your first bite, you’ll realize its well worth it. I had a Philly Cheesesteak which looked nothing like a traditional philly since it was on a poppyseed bun, but within that bun was exactly what you hope for in a philly. Piping hot steak, molten cheese and caramelized onions that come together for a delicious«squish» sound when you bite in. Somehow, until you come down to the last 2 bites, that bun forms a perfect seal around the outside edges to hold in the delicious grease. At which point you’ll wonder if the proper utensil would have been a straw. The sandwich alone will probably be enough but if you need something in between grease delight bites bring a pack of gum and opt for the onion rings, the batter is spot on amazing.

My first experience at Miller’s was actually at the medical center location a few years back. In remembering the burger goodness, I’ve always went back to that location. I was surprised to find this location in the downtown tunnels and the burger did not disappoint. I got my regular bacon cheese burger, and i think what makes a huge difference is the bum. They use a poppy-seeded bum that gives it just enough of that extra pop. Their menu consists of a bunch of different burgers that I’m sure offer the same deliciousness as the my usual bacon cheese burger. What prevents this place from being a 5 is that i haven’t been impressed enough with their fries. Even the chili cheese fries have not been up to par. But if you are looking for a great burger in the downtown area, this is a definite must try.

If you’re on the city street driving around, you won’t find this place there — its in the tunnels :) That being said, it might be difficult to find there also, as this is a really small place. However, once you find it, you’ll be happy you did. I was on a quest to find the best burger in town — and while I will continue to search, this place makes some fine burgers. The menu board is all done in chalk and its huge! You could probably get a Jalapeño Sushi Turkey burger here for all I know — I stuck to the cheeseburger and onion rings. I will tell you that this was one tasty burger — not sure what they put on the meat patty but its good. And its isnt super greasy either — it was awesome. Typical toppings(onion, pickle, lettuce, tomato, ketchup, mustard, mayo)… And OMFG — the onion rings. Crispy, hot, fried little rings of orgasmic taste. Get them. Eat them. They are worth the trip alone. As for seating, this place is TINY. Not many more than 5 tables inside and a few bar stools, so if you’re here for lunch, get here early or you’ll have to eat in the tunnel area near Subway. So, overall a solid 4 stars — 5 if I just had the onion rings.

When I think about cafes, I think about small dainty restaurants that serve salads and pretty sandwiches. People are dressed up in their Sunday-best, reading newspapers, and sipping on coffee. Miller’s is not that. It is a burger joint. Grease soaks the wrapping sheets and toppings fall out of the poppy-seeded buns. There are MANYMANYMANY different types of burgers and toppings. Grilled onions, chili, guacamole, and etc can stain your business casual shirt, so err on the side of caution! Miller’s makes a trustworthy food-coma burger. This means eat only when your manager is out of the office. The fries are average. There is usually a long line during business lunch hours and seating can be limited.

I’ve only been to Miller’s Café a couple of times, but I know I’ll be back. I’m a cheeseburger junkie, and they do make a fine cheeseburger! It’s of the thinner variety, which I like as much as a thick burger. They are juicy and piping hot, with melting cheese and fresh toppings. YUM! It’s a cute family establishment that just reminds me of why I love Texas so much. Iced down beer in a big ol’ tub, hand-written signs, arcade games, TV and wood paneling. BIG grill. Go check them out if you are in the Garden Oaks area.
