Although the work was completed in a timely manner, the owner, Bob Hutchins, was incredibly rude and made me feel uncomfortable as a woman. This was the second time I have hired his company, and there is no way that I will continue to be a repeat customer after this experience.
I received the quote on Wednesday, July 1^st, and I had the work done on Friday, July 3^rd. Although the quote was a bit overpriced, I was willing to continue since I was able to get it done so quickly. On Saturday, July 4^th (yes, the national holiday), he sent me an email, to which I did not respond because I was hosting a pool party/​bbq. Then, on Sunday, July 5^th, he called me while I was eating lunch. I let it go to voicemail and intended to call him after I finished eating. However, I did not get a chance to return his call because he unexpectedly showed up at my door 15 minutes later while I was still eating and demanded payment.
I was dressed only in a light robe without a bra, and as a young, single woman, it was completely humiliating to be seen in such a state of undress by an intrusive, middle-​age man. I asked if payment could be handled on Monday because I did not want to talk to him while I was just wearing my robe. He replied, «Isn’t the work done? Can I get paid?» I just paid him so that he would go away while I tried to cover up.
I couldn’t believe that someone would so vehemently demand payment on a holiday weekend. Also, given that I paid him immediately for prior services, you would think he would know that I would not delay payment for this service rather than treat me like a deadbeat. Finally, denying my request to wait till Monday while I’m clearly uncomfortable in just my robe was absolutely despicable.

Terrible! Poor quality, no customer service.
There was a whole series of quality issues with these guys. The main one was the laminate floors they installed in a bedroom. They also replaced a set of french doors in the bedroom — but they did not do anything to seal the door. The first rain we had damaged the laminate floor they installed. They eventually replaced a section about 3 feet wide near the door. But the moisture had already seeped into the entire floor — and all of it started to warp and buckle.
I called, emailed and chased them for months. There were a lot of promises to come look at it but nothing ever happened.
In the end I had to pay someone else to install a brand new floor to replace the one they had installed just a few months earlier.
I could go on with a long list of quality issues with the work they did.
Terrible service, terrible quality.
Bob will come over to give you a quote and tell you a lot about how great they are and how they always do things right. Then you will probably never see him again.
I don’t think they are bad guys — just completely in over their heads and unprepared for any work more complex than changing light bulbs.
They don’t have skilled workers, they don’t have anyone on-​site to supervise and once they feel they are done, that’s it for them.
I would definitely warn against using these guys for any significant work.
