Best tailor I’ve been to inside the loop. The owner was both fast with my order as well as serviceable. I came in with an emergency needing my suit jacket and pants to be fitted on short notice and I was able to get them back SAME DAY (drop off at noon, pickup at 5).
I believe she specializes in dresses so I would recommend this location for all those ladies who need quick work done on short notice!

Customer service is top notch. Found a rip in my best suit near the zipper on the pants. Was graduating from residency later that week and needed it fixed quickly. Went on memorial day in the afternoon. The lady at the front took a look at it and then took it to the back. She came back a couple minutes later and said it was fixed. I asked how much do I owe you and she said «No charge. Happy memorial day.»
Couldn’t have been more impressed.

I initially called a few tailors to find someone who can alter a special garment for me. After speaking with an employee from here, she informed me that they did have the machine to alter the garment. I did not feel the alterations were any special requirements, it just needed to be taken in a few inches. I arrived at the location and she assured me, she would be able to take the garment in, and it would be to my liking. I dropped the garment off around 615pm on a Tuesday, and it was ready by 430 pm the next day. I tried the garment on at the shop, and initially it fit okay. I was in a bit of a hurry, so once I arrived home, I was able to really put the garment on and see how it fit. Once I did this, I realized I didn’t really like how it fit. She had charged me $ 54.95, to take a garment in about 2 – 3 inches. I called her the next day and informed her I was not happy with the alterations. She was very ugly and practically yelled at me on the phone, stating she wanted to charge me again to take the garment in. I don’t know if I will be returning here.

All — longtime lurker and first time poster here, so rest assured that I’m not writing this lightly. We all know how difficult it is to find good services, whether a tailor or a contractor or anything else, so I just wanted to put in a good word for Nhu and the work she does.
I found Nhu after a couple years of shoddy work (albeit with great service) at another well-​known tailor’s (starts with M, rhymes with fartin’). Tired of the constant efforts to get their work redone and perfected (they redo their work for free if it’s not done correctly, and given the number of complaints they would’ve gotten otherwise, I can totally see why.), I was recommended to go to Nhu about 2 years ago and haven’t looked back since.
Nhu’s work is the best. High quality stitching, excellent eye for detail and fit, etc; I have full trust in her work every single time. She showed me why the work done at my previous tailor was poor, comparing stitching side by side to prove it. Can’t say enough — if you need a tailor, come to Nhu’s, and she will not disappoint. Also, Nhu is super sweet and accommodating, which makes the whole experience better. Basically now I’m just parroting other reviewers…
As they say, your suit is only as good as your tailor, so my style took another leap forward with Nhu. Only note is that the price is in line with the quality — she’s a little pricier than some other tailors that I’ve seen, but the work is worth it.

Forgot to pick up something I had altered here earlier today. Reluctantly I left in the rain to come get it.(Today is yet another torrential rain and flood day). Not only did this locally owned and operated business fulfill my requests with perfection, but the owner asked if I wanted to stay here and hang out while the storm died down (despite the fact that they close in 20 minutes, and the storm is clearly not going to clear in that amount of time.) If you need anything altered, come support this business that clearly cares about their patrons.

My new favorite place. Super friendly environment, and they make you feel like a million bucks. Will never go anywhere else :) definitely recommend.

Nhu does amazing job. (I went there quite some time ago and just now want to give her a review.) I needed a dress for a conference, and the one I had didn’t fit me in the waist line — was to get big. Nhu not only agreed to do the work quickly, but she also did a great job. After work was done I couldn’t believe how spotless it looked — no wrinkles on the fabric, no difference in thread color — the job was done impeccably.
While I was at her salon, I have met a woman that told me she goes to Nhu’s for 18 years now. I’ll highly likely will do the same.
I highly recommend Nhu’s services. She’s certainly one of the best in Houston.

Extremely happy with the results. I was actually referred to another place by a friend but since I live near here and saw it on my way home, I decided to try it after seeing good reviews and couldn’t be happier. I have another bridesmaids dress to get altered and will be taking that one here as well.

I took in a skirt that was too tight at the waist, zipper broken, and they made a MIRACLE. A mess transformed. She secretly added a wedge of velvet at the waist and changed the belt to more codify able fabric. It works. It looks perfect. It’s more comfortable than before. I take a logic ballroom gowns and Latin dance costumes here. They are superb!

Husband got two suit jackets tailored and has three more to be taken in. He’s extremely particular about how they fit. Very metro. The fact that he was satisfied with Nhu’s work and turnaround means a lot considering he’s worked with some high end tailors in New York (Saks and Upper East Side) and Nhu has matched their results. You’re paying for fit and quality results. Don’t expect to get that at a bargain.

they couldn’t find my items at the pickup date at first, then after 20 min, they brought them out, only to find that they were completely unfinished. I gave them another business week to finish it, and then the sleeves were too short on my blazer. unprofessional.

Really impressed with what Nhu did with my vintage wool double-​breasted peacoat. It was gifted to me and needed to be taken down from a size large to small. She took in the cuffs and the arms and shortened the whole jacket. Aside from one minor scruff that’s not very visible it looks brand new. It was certainly not cheap but I expected that due to the labor (plus I prefer quality over shoddy workmanship). Her prices for basic stuff seemed reasonable. Plus she got the job done in just a few days. I’d definitely go back!

You get you pay for. Nhu’s is certainly not cheap. If you go, expect to pay a lot. That said, I can say without a doubt, she has done the best work out of any tailor I have gone to in the city.
I’ve tried about four tailors. I’ll admit, I’m a bit of a perfectionist. All of the other tailor’s I have tried have been ok, but not perfect. Nhu, has always nailed her work. Amazing attention to detail. My clothes come out fitting exactly how I want them, and the attention to detail, and quality of work like the thread she uses, stitch, etc is top notch.
For very simple things like hemming pants, etc I use a cheaper tailor near my house. For things like taking in business shirts, sports coats, suits, shortening shirt sleeves and things like that I go to Nhu’s.

Nhu is very friendly and helpful. I needed a suit altered because I lost some weight. She pinned it quickly and had me on my way. It was done within a reasonable amount of time. When I picked it up and tried it on; it was done perfectly. I will say that you should ask about the pricing in advance; especially if you aren’t used to tailoring because it can be more than you might expect. Parking is easy and the shop is clean. I definitely recommend Nhu.

I needed a seam repaired on a dress that I had borrowed from a friend. She did excellent work. Specifically, she demonstrated understanding of how the dress was constructed and the best way to reinforce it. Her work looked beautiful at the end — better even than the dress was before I borrowed it. She offered to do just the one seam I wanted for $ 15, or $ 30 to reinforce several seams. $ 30 is on the high side, but was worth it for the quality.
CONS: You do have to pay in advance and I gave her a week to do a job that I think takes 30 minutes. Also the parking lot is very small and easy to miss.

Great and fast service. Nhu definitely had been doing this for a very long time and the quality of her work is bar none. Handsdown the best alterations place in Houston.

AVOID THIS PLACE at all Cost… I have recently lost weight and took a pair of Ralph Lauren Chino Khaki pants here to have the waist taken in about 2 inches… I paid in advance without paying attention to how much she charged until I got home and looked at the credit card receipt and noticed that she charged me $ 54.00…I was furious… When I picked up the pants and confronted her she acted like she did not speak English although when I dropped off the pants her English was not perfect but we were able to communicate… It seems that she basis her prices according to the car you drive, your appearance, and the quality of clothes that you are bringing in… I went to another tailor in midtown for the same service and paid $ 16.00 for 2 pairs of pants and exact same service… Do not waste your time or money unless you are okay with being ripped off… Also notice that the 5 star and high reviews have only 1 or a few post to keep up her Unilocal rating… Oh Hell No… No Ma’am…

Nhu’s is wonderful! She is an expert at her craft, and is an extremely talented lady. I brought my mother’s 1960’s wedding dress to her to have altered & re-​modeled. The original was hand-​made by my aunt, & was well-​preserved. It was, however, outdated & I wanted to wear it for my wedding in 2015. The dress had a long cape, high neckline, no train, puffed sleeves, and other traits that were fashionable in the 1960’s. Nhu took it apart & expertly sewed it back together to create the dress of my dreams!
She removed the cape & used it to make a beautiful train. She used the excess French lace from the sleeves to decorate the new «sweetheart» neckline she created as well as appliqués to decorate the bodice. She stayed true to the «vintage» look while updating it to be exactly what I imagined. She is an artist. It was INCREDIBLE and worth every penny! Anyone who says it’s «overpriced» obviously doesn’t appreciate the superior work she is capable of. The best tailor in town & I will remain a loyal customer & recommend her to anyone!

I had a bespoke vest and 2 button up shirts altered, all were slightly too large for me. I must say the process was super fast and Nhu definitely understands how clothes should drape onto a body. I was in no rush to getting the clothes back so I picked them up after a few weeks. I must say they were done to perfection, from the fit down to the stitching. I was extremely happy that my vest also came out looking good. As far as price, well I think it was spot on for the quality alone and she had it done when she said she would. I wouldn’t hesitate to come back to get more things altered.
