Office Depot

Oh. Boy. I had no love for this Office Depot on NW Freeway. But it’s the only office supplies store in this area; I have no choice but come here.
Last summer, I bought some frames and give $ 20 to the cashier to received my changes. Later, I tried to use $ 10 from the changes to buy a burger at McDonald’s. But they took the money and refused to give it back to me. because it was a phony bill. What @#*!#@??? I was furious. I don’t use cash often. This was a punishment for being frugal.
The strange thing was they never check for counterfeit bills at this store. At other Office Depot stores, they do it religiously. So, who is there to blame? Just use plastic, if I absolutely have to buy something.
Talking about plastic, they hooked me up with the rewards card. For longest time, I had been diligently accumulating points. Lo and behold, I came in to cash in my points. But they said my card had no points. Meanwhile, they found the account number was activated with someone else. A new hire goof ball gave me a card already activated with another person at the same time my points were on that person’s card. What #$@$$/^#$??? I called corporate to complain, all I got was an apology email and offered to join again. Uh… No thanks.
Eek. Here is how I «shop» at this Office Depot. I come here to look at the actual item and order online or go to other store to pick up the product.

Horrible customer service in the copy and print department. The lady is rude and speaks to you like she owns the place and like you are the dumbest person

I came to get some copies scanned and emailed to myself and the tech, Ashley was busy playing on her phone. When I said «hello», she asked in an annoyed tone if she could help me. I’ve had more friendly experiences with dead fish. Got the job done but she has a lazy and poor attitude. Side note, when asked to see that my documents were deleted, she informed me that they are all deleted at the end of the week. She gave me plenty of attitude when I told her I wanted to see them deleted now because it was my tax information. If this woman is going to have such a piss poor attitude, maybe she shouldn’t be dealing with the public for your company. I’m sure she could be stocking shelves or something that doesn’t require her to interact with the general public.

I just moved to Houston and I am getting all of my typical moving things done around the house I have a Camaro and went in to get a desk and a chair but it wouldn’t fit so the manager brought it to me at no charge on a Sunday. I wont go to staples ever again!!!

Staff here is horrible. Asked a man if they were hiring and he told me to walk over to ladies who were working with people on mailing supplies because he was too busy working with a man. Waited at least 10 minutes for somebody to ask me if I needed any help. I talked to this lady and she asked if I could come in the next day for an interview at 4 with the manager and when I came the next day and asked for the manager, this other lady told me they weren’t hiring. Wasted my time and gas. Thanks Office Depot and your horrible staff!

I was amazed with the service here when I came in just to buy some toner for my Father’s printer. As soon as I came in I was greeted and asked how I was and was welcomed. After I was greeted they asked if I needed help finding anything, I told them that I was looking for toner for a printer. They walked me to the toner aisle, and the employee asked me what type I was looking for. I told him that it was a brother printer, but I didn’t know the type so I had to call my Father. After getting the type of toner, he found it and handed it to me. I was truly amazed on how I was treated. I don’t know the employees were happy and happy to help. You can tell that, that office depot is not popular. There were only 5 customers in there. After the Employee handed me the toner, he walked me to check out and I was out. In a matter of 8 minutes I was in and out. I don’t know what they are doing, but with the incredible service for sure customers will come back again. Well done!

Got checked out while walking around the store, without having to wait in line. Handheld technology is great!
