Oolala is a great local store and the owner, Judy, is very welcoming. I have browsed through the store a few times and am always delighted by the unique items. I am most excited about the new Halloween decorations! Judy has had a green Halloween tree displayed for many years now and you can pluck fun hanging decorations straight from its branches. With so many different shops to choose from throughout the Heights, it is sometimes hard to commit to just one, but I think Oolala is a really neat shop that is perfect for gifts or personal shopping!

This is such a cute store. We just stopped in to look around while exploring the Heights but they have some really cute items. Great soaps/lotions and cute jewelry. Also the owner/cashier? was really nice and helpful. Very welcoming and seemed to know a lot about all of the products. I will definitely be back… maybe to start buying my soaps/candles/etc in support of local business.

Such a cool place to shop! Two years ago I had to buy a Christmas gift for a secret santa thing at work. I stopped in and found some really unique and original jewlery by local artists. The price ranges vary. They have clothes, jewlery, candles and so much more! I almost cried when one of my favorite necklaces that I bought there broke because I pulled on it too hard. I had gotten stopped and asked where I got that necklace every time I wore it. You can find a really unique gift to fit any price range at Oolala. The staff is über nice too.

Oolala is such a cute and original shop. I came here after reading in the Unilocal newsletter that it is a great place for gifts, and I needed a couple of gifts for various people. I was able to find all 3 presents for 3 very different people, and all of them were delightfully gift wrapped.(Gift wrapping is complimentary for gifts over $ 10. And the packaging is damn cute.) I have this place in mind for several people’s Christmas gifts. Shopping here is a way to support a local business that supports local artisans. What makes it even better is that it is relatively inexpensive.

A cute boutique on Studewood with a pretty big selection of jewelry and other gifts. The place has a very open and welcoming feel. They have a wide variety of funky and classy jewelry. Quite a good selection of natural stone and gem pieces, which I really go for. The pieces are predominately from local jewelry artists. Cool stationary, local craft items, even some clothing, hats, and shoes. There was a section of wine– and martini-themed gifts for your alcohol fans. I spotted a few things that would make good Christmas gifts. Prices seemed pretty reasonable and they had a number of good sale items. It’s a place you could spend an afternoon browsing in.

I stopped in here to pick something up for a friend and took the time to browse around. There are lots of one-of-a-kind items, jewelry, home décor etc. The store is organised by artist, nearly everything is made by local artisans. I especially like the pieces by Vanessa Parker, they are very pretty and unusual. The prices are so reasonable that I kept thinking I was misreading the tabs somehow. Definitely worth a look for gifts that are less expensive yet more exclusive than the chains, and very friendly service too.

This is a great gift store for women. Candles, soaps, beautiful handmade jewelry, tchotchkes, clothing, cards, really cute kids/baby items. All housed in an old storefront along Studewood/Studemont/Montrose/whatever. I have one slight problem when I shop at Ooh La La. I usually head here when I have a specific idea of what I want, always certain I will find the perfect version of such and such item. No matter what it is, I can never seem to find what I am on a quest for here. It is one of those deceptively perfect places. My advice? Go when you have«no idea what to get(enter random female friend, relative, neighbor, or favorite co-worker’s name) for her birthday.» You will most definitely find it here and the kind staff will help.
