I’ve only picked up to go food once, but I will be back! I’d give it five stars but at lunch time, the parking sucked! If they had designated to go parking then the people dining in didn’t read the signs. They share parking with all the places in the strip center, plus Carrabbas it in front of them, so that certainly doesn’t help. The cashier was friendly and patient since I had not ordered here before and there were questions(like if I wanted the sandwich hot or cold, orange slice or pickle) The décor was bright, and reminded me of a jamba juice without the noise, and with actual tables for dining at. I tried the strawberry spinach salad. It was great, the spinach looked fresh and clean. It was a good combination of flavors. I also tried the potato soup. It was also good, but my friend got the roasted red pepper soup and it tasted amazing! I will be ordering that soup the next time I go! She also ordered the turkey sandwich, which I did not try but she enjoyed. We both got orange slices on the side, and some seasoned, warm pita bread. It definitely seemed like everything had quality ingredients and nothing was just slapped together. I will definitely be dining here again!

The menu looks amazing but the quality of the meat kills this place. It’s almost subway quality meat. Don’t waste your money. $ 16 for two sandwiches:/

I had the hot Tango sandwich and it was soooo good! I come to this area all the time and just never thought to try this place but so glad I did. The food is amazing and they have many great options to choose from. Yum!

So I’m not really a sandwich kind of person. But we came here for lunch today, and I was blown away at how great this place was! I got the combo with the Tango sandwich and red pepper soup. Let me just say… Orange Lunch Box knows how to completely elevate their food — and why do so many other restaurants choose to serve mediocre lunch items? This was not just slimy turkey served on some soggy bread. OLB clearly uses fresh ingredients that are healthy, taste great, and can be served at less than $ 8 for a quick lunch. That’s practically impossible to beat. Great job, Orange Lunch Box! I’ll definitely be back.

This place is a nice, hidden treat! The service was kind of bad when I went(not mean, but not super competent), but the food more than made up for it! We got the lunch box specials, which is about $ 8 for a half sandwich and half salad. The bread here is probably the best bread I’ve had in the US. I’m not sure why I loved it so much, but it’s basically heaven. Their sandwiches are very good, and their salads have more complex flavors in them than usual(a definite plus!). This location wasn’t too busy around noon on a weekday, so it’s a good spot to hit up when in a hurry because it’s still kind of a secret.

A quaint little name, and a quaint little place, Unilocal piqued my interest, so I had to taste! If you’re driving by fast, you’ll miss by a hair: Its tucked in the corner of a shopping square. I pulled in the lot and quickly adjusted my pants; Tall, white, Anglo women, everywhere I glanced. The cashier was friendly, and lifted my mood, I sat down at a table and waited for my food. When it came, it was aesthetic but simple, Much like a face symmetric with dimples. The red pepper soup was hearty and rich, The fresh sides of pita, a perfectly good fit! The tango sandwich was healthy and light, The thick wheat bread toasted, just as I like! Top it off with a spicy pickle, too, And I left the square, a pretty happy dude.

Great inexpensive sandwich spot, hiding in the middle of a shopping strip center. Very easy to overlook. Just turn right into the shopping center across from Trader Joe’s then you’ll eventually find it. Tasty sandwiches, soups and salads. Some interesting fun combinations. Very vibrant in colors inside and also got great taste in music(Mumford & sons, Chili Peppers, Elton John & The Beatles… what else do you need?) A place to hang out with a group of friends 3 – 5

OLB might look like a simple place, tucked in the back of a strip center, but it’s one of my favorite lunch spots in Houston. Everything tastes really fresh and uncomplicated, while at the same time not being boring. I drive 25 minutes to get here when I need to get my fix and it’s well worth it. The prices are completely reasonable – $ 8 for a salad and sandwich combo – and the portions are solid.(I’m a girl that can EAT and I never leave hungry.) I’m a sucker for the caciatorre sandwich and spinach salad. I’ve recommended it to a couple of friends and they’ve both fallen in love with the OLB, too. Maybe one day they’ll open additional locations???

Really enjoyed my lunch here! Paid $ 8 for half a sandwich and a cup of soup, which is kind of pricy for me. I tried the cacciatore sandwich and loaded baked potato soup. The bread was very soft and tasted fresh. The guacamole on the sandwich was very good also! The inside has a very laid back feel. There are books if you want to read them, Beatles posters on the walls. I’m not a fan of the music playing, won’t lie. I’ll probably come back again!

OK, the 4 star reviews are the real deal here. I came in here based off the Unilocal raves and yes, it’s that good. I had the Orange Combo with the Tango(feta, cucumber, roasted onion and chicken with a basil pesto spread) and the famous roasted red pepper & gouda soup. The cheddar bread was soft, portion was a quarter sandwich and the ingredients were fresh. The star of this sammy was the creamy feta and the pesto spread. You could get some chips and a drink on the side but you don’t need to. The combo comes with some pita slices on the side to fill you up. All in all it’s an unbeatable value in this area of pricey and often mediocre lunch places. I will have to come back here again since my office is not too far away.

I enjoyed this place, I really did. It’s in that 3 – 4 star range for me, but honestly, I can’t give it that 4th star in my opinion, just because the sandwiches didn’t wow me. I can’t say they were significantly better than other soup and sandwich places I’ve been to but a solid choice among them for sure. And I would go back, and that is the best compliment I can give a place, right? I got a half soup, half sandwich combo, which I always enjoy. Very fresh ingredients. I really liked the bread. I got Sicilian sandwich. I got the loaded baked potato soup which didn’t wow my socks off, but was overall good, good flavor, and very nice heat. The décor was cute but kinda young, almost teeny bopper like, which I am not.

1. The PICKLES are amazing. Spicy! Gosh I wish I knew how to make my own! 2. The chocolate chip cookie is HUGE and the best cookie ever. Seriously. Great lunch spot. They have a variety of soup/sandwich/wraps/salads. Yummy yogurt as well. You can pick a healthy option without trying too hard. DISCLAIMER — if you are trying to be healthy skip the cookie. They are too good just to slip or have a bite of! My only complaint was the hummus — i thought it was too grainy :(

On Wednesday, my boss requested I pick up something«different» for lunch. That always makes me a little nervous because he can be quite picky and hard to please. I remember Orange Lunch Box was near by, and the reviews on Unilocal were great(not that that means much to him), so I thought I would give it a try! My boss RAVED about his meal! In fact, he suggest we order it for lunch again on Friday and he was equally as pleased. I think we may become regulars. :)

Tango sandwiches are my favorite here! It’s a simple sandwich but made healthy that tastes great! The wheat bread is a big reason why. I do wish the salads were larger but they too are well made and simple. I recommend adding chicken. The location is a little hidden at first. It’s located to the left of the torn down Randall’s and behind carrabas in the small shopping center.

So so good!!! I had the cacciatore sandwich and the roasted red pepper soup. It was perfect!!! The wheat bread and the avocado were very fresh! And the soup was great. I also had a chocolate chip cookie and it was one of the best cookies I’ve ever had.

Its hard to come up with something new in the«sandwich/salad/soup» genre but OLB does a pretty good job. Think healthy gourmet. I tried the Cacciatore sandwich on sour dough which consisted of roasted turkey, avocado, roasted peppers and spinach and it was delish $ 6.99. My soup choice was baked potato and it was creamy, hearty with tastes of peel, bacon and some kind of cheese($ 3.25 for small). You literally could order something different everyday for a month. Plenty of hot and cold options as well as yogurt, cookies, etc. The place has walk up counter service and is plain but clean. It is in a little strip center between Woodway and San Felipe. I wouldnt hesitate to stop in here again when in the area. Tip: Try the combo for $ 7.49 which includes a half sandwich and either small soup or salad.

I LOVE this place and if it wasn’t for Unilocal I never would have found it since it is kind of hidden in the back. Checking in at another local eatery this popped up on my phone as nearby and I made note to try it. I was not dissapointed and have eaten here several times and even talked my work into ordering in from here once. The staff is friendly and the place is super clean. I love the bookshelves with books you can read. They really encourage a «hang-out» causual atmosphere that is great. As for the food I love the Morocco wrap(I usually add chicken) and you must try their pickle spears! You must try their pickle spears… it is worth mentioning twice.

I checked this place out today for a lunch date. Based upon the reviews, I expected the place to be packed and for there to be a long wait to order. However, surprisingly, it was the exact opposite. The menu wasn’t extensive, but all of the premade offerings sounded delicious. I tried the Urban hot sandwich with a side of their baked potato soup and was very pleased with the results. The pita bread slices that accompanied the soup were really amazing and seasoned extremely well. The service was up-to-par, and it was sad to see that the cashier wasn’t used to people leaving tips on credit card receipts — I had to ask for the merchant copy to leave them one. Based on the quality of food and the speed of service, it’s a shame they experience that. I was a bit taken back by the interior of the deli. Due to their menu offerings, I was expecting something a little homier and intimate, but it was brightly lit and a little«corporate» feeling. I guess I could expect that based on the neighborhood it’s located in. They have bookshelves stocked for«take one, leave one» options for anyone wanting to hang out and read and finds something they really like. That helped give it more of a unique feeling, so the atmosphere was at least a bit improved by that. Overall, I’d say this is a solid locale to stop by for a quick lunch with a small group or a significant other. The prices are reasonable and the food is certainly above average.

I treated my sister to an early dinner here with a Groupon. We got lost trying to find the place. I don’t know Memorial area at all, and GPS gave me incomplete directions. The place is modern with open windows, spacious seating, and bright colors. The menu isn’t very large, but it’s simple and goes with the concept of the place. My sister had the Urban sub(grilled chicken, pepper jack cheese, sun dried tomatoes, pepperoncini peppers, lettuce, tomato, basil pesto spread) and a pickle. I had the Tango sub(grilled chicken, goat cheese, grilled onion, tomato, cucumber, spinach, basil pesto spread) and an orange wedge. My sister and I split our sandwiches. I surprisingly loved my sandwich. I expected something wimpy, but it was refreshing and light. The wheat bread was good too. I didn’t like my sister’s sandwich. The pepper and sun dried tomatoes threw me off. My sister liked her sandwich, but she didn’t like mine because of the goat cheese and onions. It seemed like we do not have similar tastes. I’d definitely stop by again if I was in the area. Seems like a great place for a quick and light lunch.

All I can say is: Wow. My best friend/coworker and I saw this place peeking out from behind a bank on Voss and decided to give it a try. It was amazing. I got a turkey breast sandwich with sun-dried tomatoes… Oh man. Get the wheat bread! It’s just too good for words. We each took our first bite and looked at each other, saying, «whoa». Their strawberry/pineapple cup is amazing, too. Everything is so fresh and rich in color. And the service is great! Don’t miss this place on your lunch break. It’s amazing; I’m sure we will go several times a week. UPDATE: It has been ten months since I first reviewed, and I just thought I’d update… I come here every single day for lunch. Four to five days a week, every week, and I never get tired of it. Tip: Get anything with their avocado; it is so fresh and always delicious. Their multigrain bread is also amazing and full of flavor — you can’t find this bread easily! They really respond to their customers — not only can you get 10% off of your meal by checking into Unilocal, but if you become a regular, you get discounted prices. The owner is sweet and welcoming and the staff are all very nice. It is well decorated and a clean, open environment. They even have take-a-book, leave-a-book, which I love. They play very good music. They have coconut water, freshly baked(and delicious) cookies, health bars, salads, fruit cups… I ALWAYS get the same sandwich(Cacciatore on wheat, no dairy, regular tomatoes) and I am NEVER disappointed. I always leave licking my fingers and trying to get every last bit of avocado off of my plate.
