Ostioneria 7 Mares

the only thing i eat here is caldo 7 mares its the best in houston and very consistent i been eating here for over 25 years
as far as the rest of the food i have no idea but the prices are very high

Just for clarifications sake, I am the GF that Rusty B. spoke of in his review of this restaurant, but just wanted to add my own take:
First of all, usually when eating seafood, and something is stuffed, whether it be crab, shrimp, etc. it is customarily stuffed with a shrimp and crab mix.
Well, the Stuffed Fish was stuffed with mostly octopus and vegetables, with a little bit of shrimp thrown in. I never even considered that anyone would stuff a seafood with this, but then again, I am apparently wrong!
Nonetheless, the entire dish would probably be very light and healthy, but it was lackluster in flavor (or perhaps if you like octopus, then you would love it?).
True that we both had stomach issues, we assume from the salsa that was served with the chips, but we did add some sauce from the table that could have done the damage…
