Painted With Oil

I love this store. They have many styles of Art, not just oil paintings but some industrial pieces as well. I think framed prints are tacky, especially well known pieces but if you do like Monets or a popular piece like «Starry Night,» they have a section of those too. The staff is very friendly and always helpful. I think the prices are very reasonable for «man made» work. I have several of their oil paintings and i plan to continue shopping there for more modern to abstract pieces.

Yes, I know this is mass produced «art» that many people wouldn’t put on their walls. But for some reason, I love this store. I think it is the musty smell of paint. It puts a smile on my face.
This store is decently sized with art from plenty of different periods. Most of it is done by artist who have a type of template and reproduce their art in various sizes. If you need a custom size, they’ll work with you on that.
The room is split up by the type of art work you’re looking for and the size. They tend to feature a different artist every month and display the work prominently on the walls. They also have frames, though they tend to be of cheaper quality.
I think we keep coming back here because of some of the imitative artwork that they also do. Inevitably you’ll find some huge mock-​up of famous pieces and we’re always drawn to the Gustav Klimt pieces (they usually have re-​done «The Kiss). Seeing as how they’re willing to reproduce art like that in their own way, we keep toying with the idea of commissioning them to do one of some of our favorite paintings.
As far as paintings go, they are really affordable, but when you think about how mass produced these are, it can be a little tough to swallow the prices. They have smaller prints that are much more affordable and you can get six of them to do a mosaic decoration on your wall if necessary.
The salespeople are always friendly and willing to work with you. They also have a computer in the front room if you want to surf their website for a certain painting that one of their other stores may carry.
