it is close to the house. The food is just ok. You can BYOB. Train your staff!!! too many of them standing around. And they don’t know how to wait tables– it’s like you left a bunch of teenagers in charge with no adults. been twice our first waiter was just odd and weird–«Ok, keep enjoying yourselves» well we weren’t enjoying ourselves– we really just would like our food. Second time was a bit better but there are other places over on hwy6 that are just as good if not better

I have been here several times but will not return. it smells funky when you walk in. also they clean the tables with Fabuloso. not a good smell with the food. they cover the pizza with cheese so you can’t see the ingredients. I asked them to make my pizza the normal way but it still came out the same. the chef refused to make it the way I asked instead of coming out to explain why he couldn’t. I had high hopes for this place. too bad.

On time. Piping hot, cheesy pepperoni pizza. Stepson happy, stepmom happy. We will be back for more of that.

Food was good, hot and prepared in a timely manner. Lunch special was a good portion for the price and restaurant was very clean. Staff was very attentive and professional.

so, the foods amazing. the wait time is short, & the foods reasonably priced… the service is better than what I expected from the other reviews. I had the graces Alfredo which was very good, I brought my own booz since it’s byob, & no cork fee I might add. the waiter that served us was very polite, attentive, and always had a smile on his face… the best thing about this experience was the restaurant was mostly empty so I felt like I was part of the family… I left feeling like I not only had the quality of food I was looking for but that I had made life long friends… I give palios two thumbs up.

Gave them a try and ordered the Chicken Parmesan. Too my surprise, it was moist, not flattened like at another spot nearby(Russo New York Pizzeria). It was fab. Hope this place sticks around because they are my go to place for take out Italian food. Give these guys a call if you need catering, or whatever, you will not be disappointed!

Food is very average. Does not Taste original. We ordered a lasagna and the chicken Parmesan. Red sauce tasted like tomato paste from a can. The chicken tasted store bought(pre-made) as if they just heated it up. The lasagna tasted like a microwaved lunch. Over all not very original Italian food.

Margarita pizza was okay. What bugged me the most was that I was standing in line for 10 minutes and once I got to the counter, they told me they were out of ingredients to make the pizzas so I had to leave. I don’t get why they didn’t tell me before. In summary, service is not good.

Something new to try @ the area. The server greeted us quickly and took our order within mins. After we ordered the service went downhill. Even though it was during lunch time it didn’t seem hectic. Didn’t get no refill nor did they came to check up on us! Not even once! Took forever to get our bill and to get our credit card back. On to the food… Pizza is delicious. Crunchy and not soggy greasy like some places. Only complaint is it’s a little too cheesy… Lasagna was decent. Not nasty nor was it the best. I would try something else than to order it again.

Terrible. I called to order some food. I placed an order for delivery and said I would pay cash. The order arrived in a timely manner, however, when I asked the driver to make change, he told me it was exact change only. This is something that should have been said upfront when I ordered. Upon opening my order, the potato skins barely had any cheese and lacked bacon crumbles(which is usually standard on skins). I then decided to open my pizza. It was rubbery lacking anything that resembled crust. It tasted bland. In fact I don’t think anything was seasoned. The only thing that tasted good was my diet coke. There are better pizza places in the area. Do yourself a favor and skip this place.

Can’t gripe about the food – I had the Mediterranean pizza & friend had eggplant Parmesan lunch special & both were VERY good – but the service left a lot to be desired. First the good – all ingredients appeared super fresh & dishes were prepared well. The pizza got pretty soggy in the middle pretty fast, but that’s not unexpected when you get a thin crust pizza with fresh tomatoes as one of the toppings. It tasted kickass(in a good way, be it understood). My friend said the eggplant Parmesan was the best she ever had, but she’s not very sophisticated foodwise. However, it looked really tasty, so it gets the benefit of the doubt. Young server was nice & friendly & might have been very new, but she couldn’t answer any of my questions and had to run across the restaurant each time to ask manager or another server what the answer was. This didn’t happen just once but 3 or 4 times. The menu offers you a «build your own» pizza but doesn’t specify the cost for extra toppings(that was one of the questions & I got 2 different answers at 2 different times). Then there’s the prices. I understand they’re aiming at a more upscale audience, but I thought it was a little too expensive when I can go to another neighborhood mom & pop Italian café & get comparable food for less. I might come back here for the lunch special, but that’s all I’ll be coming back for.

Pizza was really good. Went there with some work buddies and we all liked it. The pizza crust was thin and crispy and the guy taking care of us was pretty responsive. He was a bit frazzled even tho the place was empty but in the end it was all good. I’ll come back again for lunch since the wait time wasn’t too bad and the food was good.

At just four choices the lunch menu is too long, why would anyone pass up the perfect lunch pizza! I come here every week for lunch. Full sized pizzas have been a little over done. Service can be a little too attentive.

Anybody who has ever dined with me knows that when you ask me what I want for dinner my reply usually is «I don’t know, but I don’t want Italian and I don’t want pizza!» Well, this place makes me reconsider. Been here twice and the pizza is legit! Reminds me Luigi’s ITL. They even have a nice patio to eat and get fresh air. The service for me has been pretty solid, so maybe I’ve been lucky or maybe I’m not a drama king, who knows. Prices well and being the location is right around the corner from my hood, I’m in here like swim wear! I haven’t tried the pasta yet because I’m not a big fan of it, but if I do I will update my review. With all these awesome places popping up in the area, I’m using less gas not traveling into the city to get good food. «And now we blowing up! We need the whole thing!»

I would start the review based on my experience at this«restaurant», but I don’t want to keep you waiting for 10 minutes before someone greets you. 2 computers behind the counter to take orders, and there are 6 employees behind them doing lord knows what. I literally wait 10 minutes before anyone even greets me. Another 5 minutes passes and someone finally takes my order. 2 canolis and a slice of tiramasu. I wait another 20 minutes and finally get my order. I come home and take a bite of a canoli… THEYDIDN’T EVENFILLUPTHECENTER. OFBOTH. I got the tiramasu for my parents and they stick their forks in the tiramasu, and guess what? IT’S FROZEN. Please tell me why it took you 20 minutes to give me half a canoli and a frozen piece of tiramasu?! I demand to know. $ 13’s for this. Don’t believe my emotion filled tirade? Take a look at the pictures. Ridiculous. I usually don’t mind bad service if the food is decent, but this place is like me when finals roll around; Unhappy and unprepared.

Tl;dr: A reasonably priced Italian place that serves pizza and classic Italian dishes. I prefer it over Russo’s. — — — – I just came back from eating at Palio’s. I noticed it when I drove by a few days ago and it had a «now open» sign out front. It met most of my expectations for a little Italian place. I don’t think the service is as bad as previous reviewers are making it out to be. This is by no means a Maggiano’s. From the time I was greeted to the time I left, all interactions were completely pleasant. I would compare this to the Russo’s that’s right up the street from it(on West Little York). In my opinion, Palio’s is much better than Russo’s which always seems to be crowded(at lunch, else it’s a ghost town), over-priced, and slow. I had the lasagna, which came with a bread stick. It was good, as was the portion size and sauce(it wasn’t half water like Russo’s). My only complaint was that it was lukewarm in the middle. It wasn’t sitting in the heat-lamp-less window for very long, so I think it was more of a preparation issue. Either way, I ate the whole thing. I’m gonna go back for the soup and salad($ 7?) to see how that is. I will agree that a «please wait to be seated» and other signage would greatly improve the initial impression. To the owner: offer smaller desserts, such as a single cannoli. As a single diner, I was not going to spend $ 6 for two cannolis. It’s probably not your target demo, but you still lost out on, say, $ 3.

Service needs a lot of work. Nothing ruins a dining experience quite as fast as terrible service. The location is new. I’m not exactly sure when it opened. But the servers need to be more proactive. The set up implies you order at the counter and server yourself on drinks. However, this is not the case. It is very much a sit down and be waited on situation. Signage, or again a more enthusiastic/involved wait staff would have cut down on the confusion. The food was very good. Portions were generous. I got a small pizza and shared with a friend, we still took some home. I’d give the service another chance seeing as the location is so new and the food was great. But I’ll be honest, ordering take out/delivery may be the best bet for this place. No one likes a sour puss waitress who hates her job.

If you aren’t interested in service, but you find yourself craving some good Italian food, come here. Despite giving up on our waitress and having to fetch my own water, the food was excellent. We ordered the small chicken pesto pizza: hearty slices, delicious flavor, and plenty to share.
