This is a hole-in-the-wall BBQ joint. I say that lovingly. The address is on Lydia St, as is the front door, but you enter through the side door on Scott Ave. They have a good selection of orders and a good selection of pop/soda in cans, and not just cola/lemon-lime drinks, either. I had the BBQ ribs. They were beautifully smoked, tender, meaty and there sure were a lot of ‘em. The potato salad was slightly sweet, I don’t know how they did that. The beans were plain pinto beans. You also get sliced white bread and pickles n’ onions with your order. I’d go back in a heart beat next time I go to Houston.

I ordered a pulled pork sandwich. The pork was nice and tender, sauce was not over powering. My friend had the brisket plate. For both meats there was a high fat content left on the plate. The sandwich was on white Texas toast which was gross once the sauce touched it. I would say get a plate dinner and not the sandwich. Potato salad was great, beans may have been from a can, nothing to say more than that. Pretty good for a mom and pop place.

Delicious cheese fries and sliced turkey sandwich on jalepeno cheese bread. Best fast food bbq in and around town. Priced for the quality though.

Best BBQ beef baked potato I’ve ever had. I suspect there’s more meat than potato in this: tender chunks of brisket smothered in BBQ sauce; melted cheddar cheese; I usually skip the sour cream because it puts me under the mistaken impression that I’m thinking of my health; melted butter(I try not to imagine how much); chives; bacon bits(not the dried out kind you get from a box: this tastes like they prepared them). The potato itself tastes buttery and soft: it’s the perfect baked potato. I didn’t give the restaurant 5 stars because even though their potatoes are perfect, their BBQ is not as consistent as I’d like. There are times when it’s great, and there are times when it’s not.

Good bbq! I have eaten here twice. The meat is cooked to perfection, very juicy. Excellent potato salad. Loved the regular salad with purple onions, which was very large for a side dish. All the foods very fresh. The bbq sauce is a little to tangy for me. But overall, very good. I’ve never seen baked potatoes this large!
