Paul W Newman, DDS

Dr. Newman has been my dentist for years and I’m going to stick with him. His staff is very personable and professional. For the most part, they are well-​tenured, with some tweaking of hygienists after a long-​time hygienist left. The current hygienist is excellent and really cleans deeply.
Dr. Newman and his staff have gone above and beyond on a few occasions with immediate needs and short-​notice special needs for my family.
Dr. Newman is well-​connected in the full care of the mouth and has excellent referrals for any problem emerging that cannot be directly managed inside of his office.

I went here for a basic cleaning and exam. The hygienist did an okay job cleaning my teeth, but I did experience more pain and discomfort at this cleaning than at my last. What I found highly unusual was the extent to which she felt the need to discuss her love life, making the cleaning feel more like a therapy session for her (Perhaps I should have left her a bill?). I found it quite odd, as I’ve never before had that sort of experience with a dental hygienist.
Dr. Newman himself came in at the end of the cleaning for a few minutes. He spent less time with me than my last dentist. I mentioned some sensitivity, but it was dismissed because according to him, everything looked fine.
When I went to check out, the receptionist spent the entire time complaining about having to work instead of spending time with her horses, which I found bizarre as well as unprofessional.
