The food was ok, decent breakfast food but the service and prices are terrible. We had two or three different waitresses who we couldn’t communicate with due to the fact they only spoke Spanish and we only spoke English. If we were able to communicate with each other we wouldn’t have had a problem when they over charged us. Needless to say we will not be returning to the restaurant any time soon.

This is a breakfast taco review as that is all I ordered. There is a choice of tortilla(store bought or in-house). Store bought were about 75 cents cheaper. I went with the in-house which was 100% worth it. I ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese and I was happy with the amount of filling that was in each taco. I really loved the green salsa. It was spicy. Best part is they sell breakfast tacos all day! I will be back, often.

The best made-to-order breakfast tacos I have found in houston. I typically order two breakfast tacos; a potato, egg and bacon, then a chorizo, egg and bacon, with a side of green sauce. I find it a little weird that they ask me if I want regular tortillas or homemade. Shame on anyone who goes to a mexican restaurant and orders factory made tortillas! Cheap food and good service.

Ever since moving to our new location we are always looking at neighborhood restaurants to support and check out. Each week we eat out every single meal, so that gives us 5 places to eat. At least 1 of those meals is Mexican. In this particular area there are so many options, but so many are mediocre. This one had the great feel of a hole in the wall, but the food was very lackluster. We ordered one of their sampler plates. We thought it was supposed to come with sausage, but when it came out not on it. The chicken and beef were chopped small and decent flavor. The shrimp was small and was not plump. The chips were stale tasting. But the best part of the meal was the homemade tortillas, those were actually very good.

I’ve been a costumer of Perico’s for many years, always had an excellent experience. Great salsas and best mole in town. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a simple traditional Mexican food.

We had breakfast today. The food arrived swiftly and tasted great. A waitress continuously came by and asked if I needed a refill on my coffee.

Horrible service. They were extremely slow and left my food to get cold. My parents had a separate order and their order was completely incorrect. Tacos were also gross.

Good breakfast. Cheap. Customer service is decent. Don’t expect pappasitos… it’s a hole in the wall. Good for a quick bite or some chips and tacos after a night of drinking. Parking situation sucks so be careful.

I was so happy to find this little gem just a walk away from my hotel. Delicious Mexican food, with really friendly and warm staff. The pricing was great too!

I had 3 breakfast tacos– 1 egg and sausage and 2 egg and potatoes. The egg and sausage was full of good flavors. The egg and potatoes was kinda bland even with requested cilantro on them. I’ll go back to try on of the breakfast platters which looked delicious.

Good cheap food that is filling but not the best and not the worst. Its open early and late. Overall its a good place for a bite to eat once in a while.

I had high hopes and tried it based on Unilocal reviews and location. I am not terribly impressed ordered a $ 7 margarita and after 10 minutes I get a barely cold slushy, ordered the medium fajita nachos and they are a decent portion but very salty and I’ve seen the waitress maybe 3 times taking the order and bringing the food. Overall not terrible but probably won’t be back given all the other options in the area.

Road construction has rendered the area around 290⁄610 pretty intolerable. Somehow, despite that, and despite getting a feeder road built through their parking lot, Perico’s is thriving. That says a lot for the place, if you ask me. At some point, they fixed the plumbing issue I mentioned back in 2011; therefore, Perico’s is probably my favorite Mexican restaurant in this neighborhood now. They make the perfect green sauce! Breakfast is still super cheap, and I think the quality and portions may have actually improved. They do a brisk business, dine in and take out, so everything is very fresh. I’ve started getting tacos there at lunch, too. The beef and al pastor are flavorful and just the right texture; the chicken is pretty good too. The other day I noticed they have some amazing happy hour prices, but I haven’t been back to try that yet. I don’t recommend you make this a special destination, like Ninfa’s on Navigation, Hugo’s, or Pico’s, but if you’re in the area and you want some tacos or a Mexican breakfast, Perico’s is a solid choice. It’s cheaper and better than Los Cucos or Juanita’s.

This is my favorite hangover food spot which is why it gets 4 stars. Cheap, delicious, and the green sauce is amazing. I’ve never had anything here except breakfast, so I this is a review for that only. Service is hit or miss at times. There was a period of three Saturdays in a row where the same waitress got my order(chorizo and eggs is my go to) wrong and brought me ranchero eggs… That being said I keep coming back because the breakfast is delicious and you can’t beat a less than $ 3 meal. I used to live five minutes away and now that I’m 25 minutes away I still find my way out here every couple of months. The green sauce is that good!

Decent Mexican food… I enjoy their breakfast tacos always fresh and made to order. I haven’t had anything but breakfast, great place to stop in by the office. Chips and salsa are good. Fast friendly service. Definitely not the fanciest place but not terrible.

Just a quick tip. I still stand by their food. It won’t blow your mind but it’s a few notches above Taqueria Arandas. On a weekend night, be very careful. They might have the loudest karaōke you’ve ever heard blaring at unforgivable decibels. I still resent the loudness as I reflect back at what was supposed to be a quick, quiet, pre-gig meal last night.

I had the chicken fajitas with homemade corn tortillas. Chips and salsa were good. Fajitas were too. The tortillas were very good but they only gave me two. My service started out very good and finished poorly. This place is good but nothing special.

This place is always busy when I drive by it. I’ve been a few times… late at night. They don’t really have a closing time — just when they’re not busy, they close. I’ve been here as late as 3:30/4:00 am. We always get the fajitas. They serve a lot of food. I wouldn’t say it’s really great quality, but when it’s late and you’re looking for a warm meal that’s not fast food, it’s a great choice. I’ve tried their frozen margaritas and their chili con queso — both are really good. I don’t much like their salsa, it’s cold and runny. I like that they serve on you, then leave you alone to hang with your friends. Only time when that is not convenient is when you’re ready for the check, lol. This place is reminicent of places I’ve been to in Mexico — there’s nothing really nice about it.

This is a little restaurant sorta hidden off Hwy 290 so make sure you use GPS to find it! Luckily, I followed a coworker who recommended we grab a quick drink before heading to a meeting. Their drinks are incredibly CHEAP but DELICIOUS! The margarita was a little too strong but only because I had a meeting to attend later that evening, other than that I would’ve been downing those margaritas until someone carried me home. I could have stayed here to gobble up their chips with salsa; it totally hit the spot. I did not order any food so you’ll have to read other Unilocalers’ reviews of this restaurant to help form your opinion, but I do say check it out even if it’s just for their chips with salsa and some drinks.
