I’m not entirely sure why they decided to build HK5 out here a couple years back, because the strip mall is sparsely populated even to this day, but I find myself coming here pretty often whenever I’m craving something warm for lunch(especially in this hella trippin weather). This is a popular lunch spot for people who work in the area, myself included. Service is no frills but prompt and SUPER quick, and my order(either a small bun bo hue or phở chin nam) is always delivered within minutes. I can easily take my time eating and be back at the office within an hour. Prices are more than reasonable. They do accept credit card, but sometimes their machine doesn’t work or takes too long to process so having cash handy wouldn’t hurt. The restaurant is clean with plenty of seating, and doesn’t really give off that«hole in the wall» vibe you get from other restaurants. This is not the absolute best Vietnamese food I’ve ever had in my entire life(that honor is reserved for all the Vietnamese moms out there, including my own!) but it more than satisfies my cravings and I’ll keep coming back here until 1) they close down or 2) one of the 1209120 potholes in the parking lot blows out my tires.

Have been here twice to get take out. Both times I had to put my noodles in the microwave because they were WAY to hard. I will say the costumer service is very good though.

My family and I like Phở Hai so much that we come here almost every week! Their service is definitely fast and always friendly. When my family comes in with four to six people, our food is brought out within five to ten minutes. Their broth has a good amount of flavor without being too light or salty. The meat portions in all of their dishes is very generous. If you’re like me and like to take a bite of meat after each bite of noodles, you’ll be pleased with their noodle to protein ratio. I’ve tried their hu tieu, phở tai bo vien(sliced rare steak and meatballs), and phở ga(chicken), all of which I recommend. The only dish I didn’t like was their bun bo hue because the broth wasn’t as flavorful or spicy as I would have liked it to be. Also, their drinks and desserts do not disappoint. Most are around $ 2 – 3, which is great bang for your buck. I’ve tried their thai tea, vietnamese iced coffee, coconut drink, and che ba mau and was very happy with the quality and flavor of each of them. Next time you’re craving phở at an affordable price, definitely give this place a try!

Surprised to find out that this place only serves phở and other soup type dishes. The hu tieu was good.

We really like this place. My husband stops by to pick up food from here after work. They are efficient and the facilities are clean and bright. The phở is a probably a 3.5 stars but the Hu tieu noodles are 4.5. The generous meat portions are well-cut and sliced and they offer the appropriate veggies for the hu tieu noodles. My only complaint is the broth can be salty at times.

Excellent Phở. Very clean place. Owner is very friendly. Wish they had a more extensive menu. Came here looking for bun with char-grilled pork, but they don’t have it. Only soup, but the soup is really good.

Worst Phở I’ve ever had. I didn’t think you could find bad Vietnamese food. This place proved me wrong. Very bland. Service robotic. Oh, strictly soup here — no rice dishes. Very disappointed.

I go with my family at least twice a month! We are absolutely in love with it. The Phở flavoring is PERFECT. Highly recommend! The service is quick also! You will get your bowl in less that 5 Minutes after ordering! Great place!

There are two Vietnamese restaurants in this shopping strip. I’ve gone to the other one twice and loved it. I picked up some phở from here for the first time and it’s still just sitting there. The flavor is not great. I may try other food here but I’ll stick to the other place for the phở.

The chicken phở was extraordinary. The brisket was a little above average. The service was great. And best of all, the entire restaurant, including bathrooms, is clean. Our waitress was so nice!

Probably the best phở on southeast side of town. Never had a bad experience. They also offer phở without meat which I also get because sometimes it’s just about the noodle and soup!

Nice place, a bit hard to hear in, but the service was very fast! All the food was fresh I ordered the #2 along with some friends(who ordered other dinners) with some vegetarian and regular spring rolls. Everyone enjoyed the meal(two of the people tried for the first time) and we had a great time. This place is huge and can accommodate large parties. I had the regular size bowl and that was plenty of food for me; the only complaint I have is the meat to noodle ration was off(lacking meat). The plate of beansprouts, basil, cilantro, and jalapeños was plentiful and the broth(soup) was very good. Well worth a stop if you need a Phở fix in this area!

The first thing I noticed was that the place was very clean. We got seated really fast and got our drinks. When we ordered, the food came out really fast and the food tasted awesome.

Its pretty decent. I am extremely picky about phở and also I don’t like phở a lot. My only favorite place is phở binh trailer but they close on Mondays so my next best spot is this place. I like it because its spacious and very clean looking. The broth is flavorful, not too strong. Meat is generous. I would recommend this place to my fellow friends. Good service!

Nothing beats getting a nice hot bowl of Vietnamese noodle soup before or after a flight, and Phở Hai is perfect for that craving. Located only 5 minutes away from Hobby Airport, Phở Hai is a great phở stop especially for your pre-flight or post-flight meal! As many people have pointed out, Phở Hai makes an excellent first impression with its clean interior with multiple tables and a clear window view to see the outside. Almost immediately after we walked in the restaurant, the waitress greeted us and seated us down. From the moment we walked in to the moment we sent in our orders was very minimal. From the moment we ordered our food to the moment we received it was even more minimal. The best part however was the phở ga(chicken noodle soup) was out piping hot and tasty! I love the noodle texture and the flavorful broth. It was a classic, above-average phở ga, and a «small bowl»(It was pretty big) was only $ 6.45. Quick and efficient service — No worries about missing your flight Cheap and delicious large portion of food — Oh yeah! Next time you are in Hobby a bit too early(Like an hour too early), don’t step in the airport yet and stop by Phở Hai to fill yourself up so you don’t have to eat overpriced airport food! — tl;dr version: 1) Extremely close to Hobby Airport 2) Clean and large interior 3) Cheap, delicious, large-portion phở

Very delicious I had their basic phở with meatballs and round steak and some spring rolls on the slide. The service was very nice and the whole outlook of the restaurant looked very clean i completely recommend this place if you are looking to try phở for the first time the servers look like they are more than happy to help you with a order.

Beautiful restaurant. Very clean and friendly here. The phở here is exactly as it should be, clear, tasty, and piping hot. If this isn’t the best phở, it’s pretty close! This is officially my favorite phở restaurant anywhere(except Vietnam!) This is the first time I’ve picked up my bowl and slurped it all the way to the bottom! Its THATGOOD!!!

The first thing you notice when you arrive is how clean the place is. There are lots of tables so you should get seated immediately. We came on a Saturday morning and were seated immediately. I didn’t have any expectations upon arriving, but the phở was REALLY good! Most phở places give you a ton of noodles and a few pieces of meat. Phở Hai is the complete opposite which is why they are getting 5 stars. I ordered the Phở Tai Bo Vien(sliced steak with beef meatballs). This was the first time my noodles were gone before my meat. You get tons of meat here! The broth was very flavorful. Fresh ingredients. Large portions. Someone said the price is higher than Noodles Inc, but that’s because this place is better! I left really satisfied! You will not be disappointed!

Pros: super clean. Modern ambiance. Granite tables. Lots of light thru their floor to ceiling windows. Lots of noodle soup variety Cons: pricier than Noodles Inc in the same plaza. Specialized in soup, so there is not non-soup dishes here.

I got the hu tieu dai kho. It’s a dried noodle dish with a special sauce. I love the noodle texture and sauce(I wish they gave me more sauce). I really thought it was an awesome dish and I definitely would return. One thing I really enjoyed about this place besides their food was service. The two ladies running the Sunday lunch shift were speedy and friendly. They seem really well acquainted with their regulars and their new customers. You don’t see that at a lot of phở restaurants and that really stood out to me! Great food and service!
