The place was still a bit unorganized when I got there earlier this week. They still don’t accept credit card and they don’t have a perm. menu yet. I got their banh mi(vietnamese hoagies), summer rolles and wonton soup. None of them tasted very good or authentic.

I’m a fan of Vietnamese food, although as an American who has only been eating it for a few years, my preferences may not line up with Vietnamese people in terms of taste. Keep in mind that this restaurant is just starting up, so it’s difficult to really judge them accurately. For example, I’m putting that they do not accept credit cards, but they will at some point in the future. If this place stays open long, I would expect others to have a very different experience than me. Basically, this seems to be a restaurant that does phở, banh mi, and some cajun food. The folks I went with and I ordered phở and spring rolls. The phở was not great. The broth was not as flavorful as phở normally is for me. It wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t as flavorful as I’m used to. Also, I’m partial to getting phở with raw steak to put in and let the soup cook it. Here the beef was already cooked, and didn’t really seem fresh. The egg rolls were good, and something I’d actually like to try again there if I go again. When it comes to the service, the guy running the register was a little aggressive, especially since he apparently is not the owner of the restaurant. Another negative point against his service in particular is that we had trouble getting him to agree to give us the 20% off that Tammy B. mentioned in a previous review. I have a menu from this place that says 20% off until the end of October. He claimed that it was a typo and that it should have been 20% off until the end of September only. So the guy is a bit of a shyster and he’s not even the owner, who was much nicer. When you have to argue with someone at a restaurant it’s definitely worth lowering your rating. If this place had been open for a few months and it was like this, I would have rated them two stars because I did have a somewhat meh experience here. However, they literally just opened up recently, so I’m willing to give them three stars out of the benefit of the doubt. However, I wouldn’t go out of my way to go back.
