Pizza L’Vino is five minutes away from my office so decided to treat my team for lunch. While we ordered takeout, there are limited seats if you want to dine-in(give or take five seats). Pizza L’Vino serves both New York style and Chicago style pizza but we opted for a half ultimate pepperoni and half chicken parmesano pizza. The ultimate pepperoni comes with extra pepperoni and all the wonderful greasiness you would expect in a New York style pizza. I was born in New York so I’ve had my fair share of authentic NY pizza. The chicken parmesano came with grilled chicken, mushrooms, garlic, and a white sauce. The garlic was too large for my taste(you’re not kissing anyone after having a slice of this pizza!) I had to wait an additional 10 minutes when picking up my order because they burnt a hole in our pizza and had to start over. While they apologized and gave me a free bottle of water which I appreciated, I wish they would’ve called me in advance so I could have stopped by later. They have a variety of monthly deals and are located in a shopping center so parking is a breeze.

I’ve ordered pizza twice from here and I think it’s pretty good. There are places I like better, but it is pretty good. I highly advise you order the white ultra thin crust. It is much better than the wheat hand tossed crust. I’ve had the Greek islander and the low fat body fuel with mozzarella. Do NOT order the boneless buffalo wings. They are chicken nuggets, likely from the freezer section at the grocery store.

Pretty good pizza, but there is a very long wait time. It took a little over an hour for my pizza to be delivered. I really like that if you order online they automatically give you the option to split your pizza into two different topping options for no charge. The delivery guy was nice and I will probably order from them again.

I’d give Pizza L’Vino 6 stars if I could. For whatever reason, I haven’t been completely satisfied with any pizza delivery in the Houston area. My go-to prior to ordering the heavenly pie from Pizza L’Vino was Pink’s, but even Pink’s was a hit-or-miss for me. I was in search for the perfect, quick, tasty, crispy crust delivery, and I finally found it at Pizza L’Vino! Ordered the chicken basil pesto XL pizza and couldn’t have been more impressed. Perfect combination with the chicken, pesto, garlic, mushroom, and onions. Cannot wait to order again for a bottle of wine and try one of their red sauce pizzas. Definitely going to be in a committed relationship with this place.

We decided to try this place out after moving to a new neighborhood. We ordered a pizza during a Texans game, so we expected it would take a little while to get a pizza, no big deal. This *inconsiderate* business took our order, our credit card, and told us it’d be an hour, everything was cool. Then, after *over* an hour they called to say«our bad, we ain’t bringing you $h!t» because we’re outside their delivery area. If you know the movie the wedding singer you’ll understand the sentiment…“Linda…this is something that could’ve been brought to my attention YESTERDAY.”

Its okay my good friend loves this place, the tomato sauce wasn’t that good. Great service nice people but the pizza just isn’t that good. I was really expecting more. I probably won’t be back. Romanos up the road is so much better

This is the third time I’ve had pizza from l’vino. Each time it’s been delicious. I’ve eaten it with various friends and had several combos– I never remember it being anything less than absolutely yummy!

Honestly, the only thing this place is good for is beer/wine delivery. Their pizza is total crap. Some of the worst pizza I have ever had.

The chicken Cesar salad as just ok. I like that they use real chicken meat but wish the dressing was more authentic. It tasted too much like mayonnaise & ordered two because one wouldn’t have been enough for the portion they give you!

Tried their takeout pizza and Greek salad. Didn’t love it. The margarita deep dish pizza had no flavor. The white pizza with chicken was a little better. But nothing to bring me back.

Who: bf & I Where: River Oaks What: Veggie Heaven Why: Next best veggie pizza I’ve had in Houston(next to Star Pizza’s veggie). There’s not as many veggies and cheese as Star’s version, but it’s good enough to satisfy with delicious broccoli, cauliflower, spinach, and mushrooms on a hand-tossed crust. Given how fancy the pizza is, I was surprised at the modest venue.(Glad we chose to call in and carry out.)

Terrible service. Lost the order. Did nothing to make it better other than wait for another 39 minutes. I was sitting there waiting in front of the lady who took my order and she did not realize I wasn’t eating anything.

Love the ultra thin crust! You’ve got a little crunch, a little chew – with enough strength to support your toppings like melted cheese, pepperoni and black olives – while also being light and thin enough to allow the toppings to be center stage. Served with a cold small dinner salad, you’ve got a delightful pizza that’s perfect for a casual night in. The delivery service was also nice and punctual. Don’t miss out on the Classic Cannoli. Seriously, even if you don’t have much of a sweet tooth(I don’t) – just order one to try. The ricotta filling is so light and fluffy. The outer edges of the cannoli(cookie) are sprinkled with little chocolate chips. I also tasted a bit of citrus and magic.

I have to give L ‘Vino kudos for a mistake. Our first delivery order a long while back didn’t go so well… the driver would not follow simple instructions on where to park and how to get into the building so I had to go down to meet him cause he «couldn’t leave his car»… His tip reflected his efforts. The pizza was pretty good, close to NY and Chicago pizzas(compared to others around here), but we were hesitant to call again. This was not the mistake I’m referring to. Last week we were craving a deep dish pizza and ordered the Ultra Combo. The driver, on his first day no less, was able to manage to park and dial-in so we could let him up. So already things were going better than last time. We opened the box and realized they sent the Ultimate Pepperoni instead. We called. They told us to keep the pep, no charge, and they’ll be rushing the Ultra out to us shortly. — I have the feeling this isn’t the first time two very similarly named pizzas were mixed up. The pep was good, the Ultra Combo was very good(not Lou Malnati’s or other lessor Chicago pizzas), and the cheese bread stix were awesome. We’re considering making the next order entirely cheese bread stix. But most of all, we were impressed at how they owned the mistake and made it right. They didn’t argue. They didn’t question. They just made it right. So kudos. — They will be our go to pizza place next time.

Pizza was just ok. We got the«most ordered» and the«Hawaiian». Nothing to write home about. Both were decent, and we used the free breadsticks Unilocal offer. The greek salad was probably 1 star because the toppings and lettuce weren’t very fresh. The delivery driver was super nice & took them about 45 minutes. Paid $ 36 for a large pizza, greek salad, and(free) breadsticks.

This place has pretty good pizza. I split a 14″ Hawaiian NY hand toss with our free garlic breadsticks given to us after checking in on Unilocal. I would really give this restaurant 3.5 stars if I could. There’s so many pizza places within a few miles of this location it’s difficult to judge one based on others being so delicious. I’ll try to remain unbiased in this review. The NY hand toss crust was satisfactory, although I might choose a different style if I go back. They put plenty of quality toppings on the pizza, making it pretty tasty. We added our own oregano and basil leaves, giving a flavor that the pizza seemed to be missing. They provided plenty of personal-sized parmesan packages to add to the pizza which I greatly appreciated. The garlic breadsticks were welcomed — plenty of parmesan and garlic topping with marinera sauce(admittedly I didn’t try the marinera). This restaurant is located in a small shopping center with available parking. Call ahead for carry-out or delivery service available. Not really a place to dine-in. Overall this place might be worth checking out if you’re in the area. There’s other pizza restaurants that I like better, but as I’ve stated previously the pizza competition in this Houston neighborhood is brutal. Compare it to a chain pizza delivery service and Pizza L’Vino is a winner.

Alright, their pizza IS good, but I would not call it the ‘best in town’ as I’ve read in previous reviews. It’s also relatively pricey, which is why I opt for their ‘New York Slice’ lunch special(happening daily until 2 p.m.). Prices range from $ 3-$ 6 depending on your preference.(A pepperoni slice cost me $ 3.50 plus tax). The size of the slice is never an issue, however, unless it comes from a freshly-made pie(as in out the oven and into your pizza box), their dough tends to be a little hard/overcooked. Perhaps from re-heating the pie after it’s been sitting. So, if you can, request a fresh slice and wait the extra 10 – 15 minutes.
