Planet Fitness – Houston – Highway 6

This is not my gym-​I was here recently with my former trainer, who is a member-​and we completed a grueling workout at this facility. This gym may not be too fancy, but that’s okay. It just makes you focus more on working out.
It is a relatively small gym, located in the alief area. It has most of the equipment you find at any other gym and they have taken cues from other low cost gyms that are becoming more prevalent these days by offering cheap affordable membership fees. So you can get sexy on a budget!
Like I said earlier, this is not my gym. I was just a visitor. The only thing the associate asked for was for me to provide a telephone number. Some gyms will pressure non members to join right away. So I was grateful that I wasn’t harassed.
I didn’t go into the women’s locker room, so unfortunately I can’t give much insight into that.
There is no women’s only area. But I went on a Saturday early afternoon and surprisingly it wasn’t too many people. So there is no need to feel self conscious.
I probably will not sign up for a membership, but I don’t mind visiting for a workout again.

The value for the money of this place can’t be beat. I spent $ 20 a month and can bring a friend with me as many times as I want, tan and have access to massage chairs. I go to a lot of planet fitness locations and this one is decent. They’re using a lot of 5 to 7-​year-​old equipment but it works great. When I went in today they had recently change the tanning bulbs and it made a big difference. If you’re going to go here I highly recommend spending the extra $ 10 for the black card membership. At least if you care about tanning or bringing friends. I also see a lot of people with back problems enjoying the Hydro massage table.

This planet is pretty nice! The locker rooms are a lot bigger and newer than other planet fitness gyms. I recommend this planet. All planets are not the same lol.

My personal gym. $ 10 a month, who can complain? I can… Not only is it small but since it’s so cheap, it attracts a lot of customers and it gets crowded fast. I love the fact that everyone is so helpful and advocates good hygiene, but it’s so crammed that I feel cluster phobic. I usually use another gym equipment whilst waiting for the original gym equipment I wanted to use in the beginning. However, there’s a one year contract and $ 45+ fee if you want to drop the contract. I guess it beats $ 100 initiation fee and $ 50 per month at L.A. fitness. Dropping the membership is a pain in the ass, you need to write a former letter on a particular date otherwise they’ll continue charging you. Ridiculous! I believe, everyone should get the opportunity to drop any membership, whenever and wherever we want. There shouldn’t be a fee or contract.. Maybe that’s why there’s so many «BIG» people in Texas, because people hesitant to workout due to reasons like this.

This is the cleanest gym I have ever seen! No nasty-​sweaty equipment here~! It even smells clean! MANY flat screen tv’s to view while working out. The staff is always friendly and they greet each member as they come and go. These folks work hard to keep this top-​notch facility running smoothly and it is appreciated!

Worst experience ever… So I signed up for a 1 year membership and my membership recently expired so you have to tell them to cancel it or else they start charging you month to month. I called in and a representative said «okay it‘s cancelled, don’t worry». I asked her do I need to physically come in or do anything and she told me no, your okay. I was like amazed wow how easy that was and went about my life. A month later i‘m being charged with a monthly fee plus the annual year fee, come to my shock I was like how is this possible. I called in and spoke to the manager and he advised me that the information given to me was false and recommended me to send in a certified letter stating that I wanted to cancel so I did. A few weeks go by and I get another monthly charge, again I called the manager and asked him what is going on, why isnt this situation taken care of. He notified me that he hasn‘t received any certified letter, so I faxed him a letter instead which I should of done in the first place. Then I requested a refund on those 3 charges because it wasn‘t my fault that the situation wasn‘t taken care of. I specifically requested my membership to be cancelled on a particular day. If I needed to come in or fax a letter than I should of been told so, but no I wasn‘t. The manager told me that he asked his employees who advised me on the information given previously and of course everyone denied it. They don‘t care about their customers, they just want your money. Don‘t let the same thing happen to you. All I asked was to be refunded those 3 simple charges, not my whole membership. They seriously need to train their employees better. The manager wasn‘t much help either. Horrible customer service will never join this gym again.

Might be judgement free but defiantly not harassment free!!!
Ok so my membership gets canceled because I make a comment about the manager there. the manager at one of the other gyms goes around talking about how cute the guys are and watching them workout and making sexual inappropriate comments about members… so I make a comment about those behaviors in my opinion… which was not nice so I won’t say here… but where am I wrong? employees shouldn’t be sexually inappropriate comments about its members…

Cleanest gym I’ve ever been to. Friendly staff. Everything seems to be in working order. The only draw back is the free weights stop at 75. They have machines to make up for it, though I know I’d much prefer the first option. That’s my only complaint, and really, it’s not a big deal for most people! So 5 starts and enjoy one of the highest quality gyms at an incredibly reasonable price.

Seriously for $ 22 a month a blackcard membership you receive unlimited massage chair, free workouts daily with specialist to target body areas, large locker rooms with showers, & mirrors. If u don’t want to bring music they’ve got it also, bring yo ear plugs and chose yur flavor. They advertise no stress culture, or judge free zone.
Open afterhours most days.

Great gym! Cant beat 20 bucks a month!
