It was definitely pretty to look at but it ended up taking us a few hours to completely drive through. So my only suggestion would be make sure you plan accordingly.

Very extravagant. Went here with my girlfriend and drove around listening to Christmas music and viewing the complex lighting scenes. There is one Road(first left once you enter the neighborhood) that’s residents completely decked out their houses with Disney themed Christmas scenes. It’s definitely something worth going to see.

Great display of lights. A theme for every street… We go yearly, it never gets old… Just seeing the sparkle in my child’s eye is enough to warm my heart during the season!

Amazing lights! We spent an hour and a half and don’t think we saw everything! It was so much fun for us and our 3 year old.

Hey kids, now do you want to see Christmas lights? Are you sure you want to do this? DOYOUREALLYWANTTOSEECHRISTMASLIGHTS… After weeks of bickering and asking to take them to Galveston to see lights I remembered hearing something about a neighborhood that was on the North side of Houston where we reside. To kind of trek all the way to Galveston gets a little old and cumbersome especially when there is always a price to fork over for a group of people. Let me tell you a little about this neighborhood that has been doing this for over 35 years with over 750 homes that form a community filled with lights attracting motorist to and from all corners of Houston. If you happen to find this little gem on the Northwest side of Houston you should note that you will easily spend at least 2 hours minimum snaking in and out of the streets and cul de sacs so gas up and make sure you’ve eaten already. Speaking of eaten already if you see or know where the Hibachi buffet that sets on the corner of a shopping strip is located then you’ve already found the road that leads into this yearly event. Either road on each side of this will lead you to where all of the lights are, you cannot miss it if you are driving at night time, just look for the traffic. There are a lot of «themed» roads for example«Charlie Brown Christmas» and«Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer» and including a few travel stories of how the striped candy cane came up as a legend in story. On one road apparently Santa Claus lives there but we did not see his reindeer parked out front anywhere. You might be hardened in luck to get by since a few people will have their vehicles dotting each side of the road in order to get their chance at having the children sit on his lap on the driveway telling him what they want. The pictures I posted might be a little blurry but it serves only as reference to what you will see out there so I apologize on that note but you just have to be there to get the full effect at what the pictures are portraying. The Unilocal«auto fill address» did not seem to pinpoint me right but here is the address taken off of their website: Address: Prestonwood Forest Drive & Highway 249 Houston, TX77070 As far as the friendliness of everybody here, there was not one bad element noted, everybody drove slow, some people turned their lights of their car out while driving down the street so you can get a better viewing effect, nobody was trying to show off their blaster stereo system as well as no rambunctious parties creating havoc at this time. This neighborhood event is from December 13 to December 28 so don’t expect to see much after that date. Weekend hours you are invited to drive through there are until 10 pm and until 11 pm on weekend nights. Their website encourages you to keep your headlights on at all times for safety purposes.
