Amazing Pupusas. From your basic Puro Queso(Just Cheese) to your all out Revuelta(Cheese, beans & chicharron) The atmosphere isn’t SUPER modern or anything like that so don’t expect much but I can tell you hands down that you cannot get pupusas as fresh as that unless your grandma made them! The kitchen staff is always working hard and constantly pumping out Pupusas and their work really shows! If you have a chance, try at least each one out! As of 6÷8÷2016 the full price for a buffet is about $ 7.95 for the buffet alone no drink so it’s not what it used to be back then where it was $ 5. I would definitely recommend the Lorroco y Queso Ayote con Queso Chicharron y Queso Pupusas! Grab yourself a plate for the«Salvadorian Coleslaw» with some salsa on there with some jalapenos, rip off some pupusa as a spoon for the slaw and CHOWDOWN. Too hot? Cool your mouth with some bomb ass Agua Fresca Pina(Pineapple Water) and boy you’ll be in heaven!

Good stuff! Stopped by at 10am and it was pretty busy. The counter staff were friendly and spoke english. My bean and cheese papusas were great. My wife enjoyed her squash and my bil enjoyed his breakfast platter. $ 14 for all three of us. We will be back.

Mmm pupusas, my loves! First of all, it’s spelled PUPUSAS not PAPUSAS. Get it right! I don’t know why many people spell it like that. Either they don’t read or they think it sounds like English poopoo. It’s P-U-P-U! The word has nothing to do with fecal matter, and the word comes from Nahuatl not Spanish. I found this place while searching for something around Hillcroft. These pupusas are decent, but I was not impressed. I’ve had better. I think the chafers make them soggy. If you’re going to eat pupusas here or anywhere, do it right: 1. Order revueltas and queso con loroco for optimal bang for your buck. Order an horchata to drink. 2. Make sure you get curtido(the«slaw») on the side(do not pile it on top of your pupusa! I’ll give you the stink eye if you do). 3. Add the salsa on top of the curtido. Do not pour this on top of your pupusa! 4. Cut a piece of pupusa with your hands. You are NOT supposed to eat them with a fork. 5. Now, with that piece of pupusa in your hand, grab some of the curtido/salsa. 6. Put in mouth, chew, and enjoy. 7. If you want to at this point, sip some horchata. 8. Repeat steps 4 – 6. Congrats, you’re eating like a true Salvadoran!

Amazing. Best pupusa I ever had!!! Super cheap and big on flavor. Do yourself a favor, and get the spicy salsa. Where else can you stuff yourself to capacity for around $ 4? Nowhere. That’s where. Btw, on weekdays they close @ 8pm! Not 10pm

Never need to get the buffet cuz I’m soooo full after eating 3! I usually get the mix and sometimes add a squash one. Delicious, always hot and ready. I took some home yesterday, but it’s best to eat them in the restaurant so that you have warm pupusas and salsa and cabbage at the right temp. Ladies are always nice to me :)

Can’t say if the food is good but they don’t close at 10 like it says here, they close at 8 pm. Pretty easy. Even though we asked before coming and they said 10.

The place was small, which was nice, not flashy either. Papusas come out fresh nonstop and hit the buffet. I felt a little out of place on behalf of my poor Spanish, I was the only white guy here. They served me, they were kind and the food was very good, feeling out of place was probably just in my head. Pro tip, order a large drink, 1 can of soda ain’t gunna do it once you start loading up on salsa and jalapeños.

I can’t tell if I should rate this place on their service or the Papusa itself… Let’s just split it up. The service The person taking our order was very kind. She spoke English, so that helped a lot. The line was almost out the door. But she was very quick. She probably was one of few who actually spoke English. So come prepared using your HS Spanish. Basically, you order and then grab a plate and tell the lady behind the buffet bar which ones you wanted. The two we ordered were out at the time. But she hand festered and told us in Spanish it would be a few minutes. It didn’t take long at all and our papusas were ready. The place was super packed but they cleaned the spots up quickly to free up the space. Overall, service was 5⁄5. The food It might be just me, but there was nothing really special about papusas. It was basically a na’an filled with cheese and something else. I had the cheese and pork and the BF has cheese and squash. I couldn’t find any pork in mine. Maybe remnants of pork. But no actual meat. The squash one was more refreshing than the pork one. They were cheap. Two papusas were $ 3. Just one Papusa is filling. So, it’s a super cheap meal. However, I didn’t care for it much so I’d say 3⁄5. To compromise then, my review is 4⁄5

Best pupusas ever! My husband and I decided to check this place out and we were not disappointed. $ 10 for the buffet or $ 1.49 for each pupusa. Good deal

The buffet table doesn’t do any favors for the poor papusas; they come out soggy and spongy. The mozzarella cheese they use also overwhelms what ever flavor you can expect to get from the very skimpy amount of meat or veg in each one. That said, this is a fantastic value if you just want to get full on passable fair.

Not bad for the $$$. We’re talkin’ $ 8 bux for all the Pupusas U can eat, and some really nice Salvadorian slaw(the kind make with vinegar, not the sweet creamy kind). Try the one with beans, pork and cheese, but all the many varieties are pretty good and filling. And if ur on the go I think each one is under $ 1.50, and they r great finger food for tht LONG car trip. GOOOOOTRY!

I came in on Saturday around 11:30AM. Ordered 5 pork and cheese papusas to go. Their service is quick, in and out. Each pupusa is about $ 1.40+ tax. Their papusas are pretty filling. I was full from two and went into a food coma. Next time, i will dine in and try of their buffet!

Sunday mornings are for pupusas, especially after church! The kid’s favorites are always bean&cheese and chicharron&cheese. I got a breakfast plate with two fried eggs, beans, fried plantains, sour cream and cheese. The price has gone up slightly within 6 – 8 months? Still a great deal. I recommend the buffet opposed to single orders, that way you can try all of them. The only reason I didn’t put a full 5 stars was due to non-homemade Aguas frescas. Something I don’t mind paying extra for. We will come back soon!

VEGETARIANREVIEW: Pupusas are just not something you see everyday– these were fresh(went at 545pm, as they were putting out all the freshly made ones for dinner), absolutely delicious, multiple vegetarian options, and the sweetest hospitality. It’s 6.75+tax per person though I recommend adding on the Jamaica(hibiscus) tea for a treat. My toddler daughter has a whole bean and cheese one herself! Will definitely be returning!

First time here. Fast and cheap. Came for the buffet which is just 6 kinds and then tomato sauce and coleslaw to put on top. Super good and different for this plain jane white girl. I’ll be back for sure!

Until today I had never heard of a pupusa! Wow, I describe them as a fluffy golden brown corn pancake stuffed with yummy goodness. They have six different kinds, two awesome sauces and what I call an awesome Salvadorian coleslaw and jalapenos all for $ 5.50. Also for an additional $ 2 you can get your choice of several fountain style self-serve Salvadorian beverages. «I’ll Be Back» Gran Hombre Blonco

This are the best Pupusas in town, very cheap and authentically delicious. Never tried the buffet because 2 pupusas fill me up. These pupusas are generously big and yummy. This is the spot to go for pupusas.

A simple cafeteria style buffet consisting of only pupusas. I had a hankering for pupusas and wanted to try different variations that the buffet had. Most of the other Salvadoran places I had been to only made cheese or cheese and beans for the vegetarians. Since this is a buffet, the pupusas are not made on order so they are not as fresh as they can be. They are kept wrapped in aluminum foil on a steam table until served. They are lukewarm and soggy unwrapped but are still tasty to eat with the crisp curtido and salsas available. I stuck to the loroco(some type of flower) and ayote(squash) pupusas, preferring the loroco because the ayote kept breaking apart easily while eating. I like the food but I’ll stick with the places that make the pupusas on order. The customers all looked at me strangely since I was the only non-hispanic in the room. Staff was nice. I only noticed one who was comfortable with speaking English.
