Great place– 30 bucks for a mani/pedi that included sugar scrub and lotion massage. I’m very pleased!

Too bad! I found myself with time to kill while my daughter was at dance team practice, so I called Quality and asked if they could take a pedicure right away. They said yes and I was there within 5 mins. The ambience gets zero stars. Dim(not ambient) lighting, no music, speed skating on TV with very low volume, and nary a smile on the faces of the staff. Just weird, eerie, almost-silence. The service gets zero stars. A man points to a chair and tells me to sit. Btw, I am 8+ months pregnant and was looking for a relaxing experience. He couldn’t even be bothered to swivel the chair around for me or help with my shoes. Naturally I was not offered a drink, how silly would that be? I sat with my feet in barely tepid water for THIRTYMINUTES without a word from anyone. They kept staring at my belly, too. :( Finally, the massage chair timed out and I had raisin toes, so I decided to bounce. When I asked for a towel, they told me not to leave and it would only be 5 more minutes. –_– Within those 5 minutes, I was at a competitor across the street listening to 80s light rock with a cool drink and friendly attendants asking if my(warm) water temp was ok. Now I know!

I’ve only been here once, based on the recommendation of a friend. I went around 4 in the afternoon on a Thursday and there was no one in the shop. I think the two stars are for not having to wait to have my nails done. I had french tips done and they looked nice right after they were done and for the next couple of days. But the following week they began lifting! In less then a week’s time they already needed to be redone. I was not impressed and do not plan on returning.

Ummmmm 5 stars?!? I don’t think so. Really limited nail polish selection and an owner that would rather be texting than focusing attention on her clientele(ahem…me, your customer). Another negative… owner finished manicure went to the back and TURNEDOFF the AC right before deucing out. Yes, turned off the ac in Houston, in the summertime. I realize it’s 6:40 and you’re leaving but how tacky is it to turn off the air when you still have customers and your business is still open?! Ugh… What a crappy salon. There are a million and one nail places in Houston and this is one I will never be going to again.

I was in a pinch when I discovered that my usual nail salon had closed early on the day before Thanksgiving. Thanks to my fellow Unilocalers, I found the reviews on Quality Nails and headed on over. The location is in an established area on Memorial, so it isn’t as ritzy as new locations popping up around town. However, looks shouldn’t be deceiving. Yes, it’s an older salon, but I have to admit, I received one of the best foot massages/pedicures in a long time. Additionally, kudos to the technician who did my solar refill. She didn’t try to push the pink and white refill, when I clearly only needed the pink refill. I like when they don’t try to sell you services just so that they can make more off of you. Overall, I had a great experience! In addition to my nails looking great, the price was extremely reasonable and the staff was super nice.

Michelle and the rest of the ladies at Quality Nails are wonderful. I’ve been coming here for years now and they always do a great job whether it’s waxing or mani/pedi. The prices are very reasonable and they do a fantastic and long massage that is to die for. Definitely worth checking out.
