Gas advertised at 1.929 for cash. There is no card reader which is probably good in this neighborhood. Selection shows 1.929, but once selected displays 2.029. We fueled and my wife went in to pay. I told her to advise the attendant of the price difference, and, to be sure we are given the cash price as we paid with a debit card. Attendant prints out a sales slip which does not show the number of gallons or the price per gallon. My wife advises of difference on pump and attendant tells her he has given her the cash price. I checked the total against the number of gallons and we were charged 2.029.
I went in and talked to the attendant who advised he is the owner. I told him I wanted the cash price and he told me he gave it to us. I explained the math to him. Now, he says debit is not cash.
At any rate, when someone changes a story after being caught, I am not prone to think he is honest.
