This is a great team from design to finish, and it’s been a pleasure working with them. We had a weird, L-​shaped back yard, and were looking for a low-​maintenance yard with plants that would offer us privacy (neighbors’ houses came right up to our yard) and a nice area to sit and relax. After seeing our space and getting an understanding of our needs, Laurin came up with a design that was beautiful and practical (we still can’t believe how great it looks). Then Shawn and his crew got to work. They worked tirelessly 5 days a week (minus heavy rain days) and got the job done on schedule. They put in cement path blocks, an irrigation system, and a pergola. The crew is also very professional, which is a definite plus. They arrived on time, worked hard, and cleaned up at the end of each day. You can’t go wrong with this team.

We wanted to transform our backyard into a fun and usable space; Ravenscourt delivered.
Before we met, we completed a detailed questionnaire on their website, which helped define our goals and style. Shawn and Lauren came to our house in early spring, to review our ‘wish list’ and problem areas of our yard. First and most importantly we wanted a patio, with a pergola. Large enough for a picnic table, nothing fussy but maybe something causal like that at an ice house. Next I wished for a small Louisiana inspired courtyard to remind me of home. We needed extra storage because we only have a small one car garage that is full of bikes, so maybe a bike shed. And I needed something easy to maintain that would be wildlife friendly like a little woodland park. We also needed to look at our yard and irrigation.
Lauren looked over our space and listened to me ramble about my dream yard. Shawn measured everything. Our 2^nd meeting was at their home/​office and the plans were revealed. Lauren had listened and her beautiful design captured all my wishes. Shawn reviewed the entire plant list, materials and costs. The proposal was professional, completely detailed with photos and names of each plant and flower, photos of previous projects that were similar, and broken up in the following components — Yard Landscaping — Pergola — Bike Shed — Flagstone Patio — Side Yard Screen (for courtyard) — Raised Bed — Irrigation. This way we could select which project for now and for later.
We had to wait til August for our project to begin and we had them do ALL of the projects. We have exactly what was detailed in the proposal and are very pleased. I love the flagstone path around my yard, it is like walking in a park. The raised bed has irrigation and tons of sun so my herbs should be very happy. I am seeing new birds and butterflies and hummingbirds that I hadn’t seen before.
Lauren and Shawn make the perfect team. Their enthusiasm is enchanting, it is wonderful to hear them describe the flora and fauna on the project, one day I will be able to tell you the names of all 28 new plants and flowers that were added to my yard.

We found Lau­rin and Shawn from Raven­scourt Land­scap­ing af­ter read­ing their great re­views here on Houzz. My fi­ancé and I re­cently moved into our first home less than a year ago and are plan­ning a wed­ding at our home this Fall. We hired them to cre­ate a land­scape de­sign for us that we could im­ple­ment our­selves to make the yard look great for the wed­ding and also for long-​term ben­e­fits as well! The two of them were happy to help us out and did a great job of lis­ten­ing to what we were en­vi­sion­ing as well as help­ing us nar­row our fo­cus some! They came up with a great plan that in­cluded both changes we could make right away and later on down the road. This worked out great as we could split up the task into sev­eral projects and tackle just what we had the time and money to af­ford to do. Also I should men­tion that the de­sign was WAY more than just a de­sign. It was ex­tremely in­clu­sive and came with lots of in­for­ma­tion, tips, and re­sources tucked into a folder for us along with our plan and all the plants they rec­om­mended as well as in­for­ma­tion about them. Ad­di­tion­ally count­less emails were ex­changed be­tween us over any ques­tions we had. We were so im­pressed with all the great in­for­ma­tion they were able to pro­vide us even just sim­ple an­swers to ques­tions like «How of­ten should we fer­til­ize our yard?» «What should we fer­til­ize with» «How can we fight pests or­gan­i­cally?» and «How can we im­prove the drainage of our lawn with­out dig­ging trenches?» etc… we asked them so many ques­tions and they were al­ways more than happy to an­swer them! We are still mak­ing changes to the yard but it is al­ready look­ing a hun­dred times bet­ter than it was just a few short months ago! We highly rec­om­mend these guys they are fantastic!
