$ 18 to sit basically a few rows behind home plate. Watching a ranked college baseball team like Rice already more than pays off the ticket. Towards the left field and left-center is a grassy area where people can just sit on grass and watch the game from there(and if you’re lucky, catch a homerun ball). Down the right field line are bleachers. As others have mentioned, there’s a parking lot nearby that’s free.

You don’t have to be a Rice baseball fan to come here and enjoy a game. You really just need to like baseball and a nice clean, inexpensive way to enjoy the game. Parking is free in the big lot across College Way off University. Walk past the tennis courts and you’ll see the entrance to the stadium. It’s not a big stadium. Probably as big as some of the nicer high school fields in Texas. Tickets run from $ 10 to $ 20. I think it holds about 4000 when packed. They have a little beer garden along the 3rd base side under a tent. There are bleachers in the outfield but I am not sure if there is a charge for those. But for $ 20 you can get great seats, clean bathrooms, some really nice folks who enjoy their Rice Owls and short line concessions(they serve prince’s burgers here!). Reckling Park concession stands accept major credit cards and there’s an ATM on site just in case you need it. There’s also a Kona Ice truck which offers several flavors of shaved ice ranging from $ 3 — $ 5. * The walk through the Audrey Moody Ley Plaza to the stadium provides a great landscape view. The stadium exterior around the entrance is a pretty neat sight. * Another great landscape view is the Medical Center skyline beyond the outfield wall. There’s some pretty excellent skyscraper architecture in view from your seats. * The easy access provided by the Metro Rail is another plus. It’s a great option for the local fans and those visiting fans who grab a hotel along the line will benefit as well. * There’s plenty of space around the stadium for kids to run wild. You’ll find several playing catch or throwing a tennis ball against a wall. It’s a pretty great family atmosphere.

Went here to see Rice vs. TAMCC. The stadium is very nice! Any seat you get is a good seat. Price was very reasonable as was the concession stand. They had fun events during the innings. And of course the area is beautiful it is Rice University.

While visiting the area, we happened to be in town for the Conference USA tournament. Since my coworker attended grad school at Rice, he knew his way around. We parked in the free lots close by. General Admission tickets were $ 10 each. But we immediately headed for the tent on the left field line, which served 2 St. Arnold’s beers on draft($ 6 each for 18oz, a little flat), and aluminum bottles of Budweiser products. You have to consume the beer before leaving the area. The game was delayed in less than an inning due to threatening weather, and everyone was asked to head into the concourse, so we left to get some dinner. After dinner we returned, since our tickets allowed for reentry. Despite our GA tickets, we pretty much had our choice of seats. Chair backs were comfortable.

What a great place to watch baseball! Went out with some friends this weekend to see Rice play UCF. The Texas Medical Center provides a beautiful backdrop, and general admission is only $ 5. Very relaxed — a surprisingly small crowd given how much fun it was to just sit outside, talk, and watch the American pastime. Got to sit right behind home plate, then moved as a group of five people to be in the shade with no problems at all. Quite a few families came out too. This would be a great activity for parents to do with their kids. I didn’t give five stars only because of the«professional-level» food and drink prices. Seems a little off when getting into the game costs about the same as a hotdog.
